Water Temp Sensor Fitting Problems?
Xizor replied to Xizor's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
So have you got anything working? This is freaking ridiculous. JustJap will be hearing from me thats for sure. -
Hi guys, I got the sensor fitting thing for my water temp gauge from just jap, but for the life of me i cant get it working properly. Sometimes my water temp will read 20-40c but after running the car for a while its blindingly obvious thats totally false. But i just cant get it to work properly, and its all setup correctly im sure. A mate also has one and he said they are simply rubbish and dont work (he tried heaps) and he eventually just re-wired it to the stock fitting. Has anyone else had any experience with this? Cheers Rob

Help: Legal Headlight Colour 4000k Blue Etc
Xizor replied to O.I.C Napster's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Depends on the type of bulb too. You get the halogens with like xenon gas inside them, or those bulbs that are simply coloured blue as if they are covered in celephein (sp?). The latter are alot more expensive and a total rort. -
I'm interested, PM me details mate.

Spotted gun metal r33 in ctown heading to ambarvale last night at about 6:45. Gave a wave but couldnt put my windows down as just tinted so probably didnt notice me.
-
I do about 400km a week, give or take 100kms.
-
cheers mate I really want EL dials.. but maybe this will do until someone does a group buy.
-
I imagine you'd have to get the whole/kit enclosure. I expect well over $1k because thats how much the stock enclosures/assembly cost.
-
I sold my HID kit and just got ricer halogen bulbs (mtec cosmo blue) for low beams and some bright white phillips halogens for my high beams. oh and LED for parkers. Im happy with the results.

mine makings some sort of clicking noise on idle. meh.

What bulbs have you guys used to replace behind your speedo etc? I am VERY interested in doing this. Can you show me a pic of the result?

Should We Start A New Subsection For The Regions?
Xizor replied to Abo Bob's topic in New South Wales
Moanie, i know this thread is not proposing it be deleted, but thats what some people have been saying. That such threads basically serve no purpose and thus should be ended. And that is what i've been arguing against. It would be a terrible shame. I thought that was pretty obvious because its exactly what i have been saying. I've not ever said i wanted sub sections, forum segmentation, change in structure, or anything of that nature. Not at all. Quite frankly i dont give a toss, i just want the threads alive. Yet im getting those sort of remarks directed at me? That is entirely other people, not me. I guess some people are either confused or the forum "elite" are bored and want to flame something. Regardless, its wrong, anyone paying any attention will know im only concerned that the threads stay alive. Especially seeing as a few people are saying similiar ones for different areas have magically gone AWOL. -

Moanie and Sl!m, thank you for responding to my poke of the whore thread in exactly the fashion i had hoped. Those responses and the justification of thread itself should be more than enough basis that the precident has been set and that there is nothing wrong in the least with the ctown thread or the eastern suburbs thread etc. As for non skyline friends, when it comes to cars and socialising in that sort of nature, they are just normal long term friends. I would hardly call MSN normal human interaction, and i have already explain the forums usefullness so it does not need covering again. As it was so irrelevently pointed out, i've only been registered here since the end of last year, and had my car for even less time. Clearly you long term dwellers have well established relationships and ongoings and live much closer to central suburban sydney. We have not and do not fall into this catergory, and i think its a bit rude and arrogant to deny us said opprtunity by a method thats clearly working very well. As far as i recall the ctown thread has only been active a number of weeks, yet it is almost entirely responsible for myself and others being able to meet and socialise with other local SAU members on a regular basis. I have only argued that the threads do not be deleted. Thats all. Absolutely nothing else. Anything else is other peoples suggestions or blind flaming, and im perfectly happy to entertain such keyboard hero's (Nice self portrait Sl!m. ) if it keeps the threads active. -

No its not Blitz, clearly you need to re-read or clarify what it is you dont like the concept of. I have not said anything about wanting sub-forums, i didnt start this thread or poll, so there is no need to insinuate im arguing for a further layer in forum structure when thats not the case. Everything i have said is in reference to a handfull of threads that could be very easily organised into regions. Campbelltown/Macarthur is a region, from liverpool to Picton and all around. I said nothing about sub forums, i'd just like the threads. Its not like the NSW forum is that busy anyway, the posts currently go back 2 days on the default page layout, so it wouldnt hurt anyone. And quite frankly if SAU looked favourably on people casually socialising under the SAU banner there would not be a problem with a handfull of threads that promoted this activity. Its hardly classified as "Event" activity and im sure would cop shit for the ctown thread being in that forum anyway. I have only been in the whore thread a bit but it is completely insane, and the people there seem to know each other and live around the hills region. Except that thread goes under a different title and doesnt seem to give 2 hoots about meet ups and socialising... yet the powers that be want to crack down on the others? Come on. -
Spotted white r32 (GTR?) on Woodlands rd, St Helens park tonight at 6:35pm

Thanks mate! Also can you give recommend circlip settings for my car on 18" rims 40 profile tyres? I only want it lowered the smallest amount from stock (to start with) that the circlips will provide.

Blitz i never said i want the forum split off into sub sections and what not. I just want our thread left open, so there is no need to go all guerilla with the false statements. -

Well what some people are saying is exactly that. With whats being said its coming off like we dont participate in the forums except for that 1 thread, and that could not be further from the truth. We are not segregating away from the SAU community at all. Thats so left field and not appropriate. You guys might have the time and finances go drive alot and socialise with people regularly closer in the city but ctown/macarthur region is not like that at all. Far less skyline owners over much greater distances. I myself literally live in the bush. As part of the SAU community, and because of it, we are able form a group of ppl with similiar interest and do things. And because we socialise in this manner in one spot when its for that purpose it draws negative attention? Noone is being hurt by these actions, a handfull of threads does not entail a massive mess let alone bandwidth costs, and its enhanced our interest and ability to socialise within SAU. But yeah ok. Ban the threads. -

No it would not be easier unless we went around leaving voicemails. And the ctown thread has worked quite well for us so far. But i guess if people are on a powertrip and want to feel all high and mighty what can we do about it? -

Well no offence to you but i think its shit and the entire idea of stripping away our ability to have a centralised thread to convers based on our location and ability to actually socialise in real life, thats screwed up. -

Dont forget me Soulblighter, i live on an acreage well past campbelltown. Closer to Picton! So if we want to organise casual meet up, often spur of the moment and a handfull of people, we need to go in the events forum? Come on! This is getting so petty its BS.
