  1. Im about to order a garrett gt3071r next week and see how that goes. It will be external gate with the .64 rear. Will post results in the rb20 260kw club (hopefully).
  2. With a rebuilt turbo it should be more efficent, meaning more airflow at the same psi of restriction. So actually if it was tuned on map it would be more likely to ping and if on maf same thing but max it out sooner and go into rich mapping to avoid detonation, maybe thats why. A new turbo wont give you more boost on the same setting, (i dont care who you are) its just a setting to tell the wastegate when to open. My 2 cents.
  3. Nike, just do it
  4. does anyone no the approx .ar of the 8cm housing on the td06?
  5. thats actually the same one i got
  6. i actually just got one. looks like its built nice and it has 12 months warranty. its not going on for a few months but so im not sure how it will perform.
  7. please guys ive done all the searching you can do but still cant find an answer. can you please post a link if its already been covered. how muh power are the .64 ar exhaust housing good for with the gt2871r and the gt2835 garret turbos on a rb20. i have all the support mods needed to reach 450hp at the fly wheel and even a high mount manifold with external gate which is more than likely over kill. do you think any of these turbos will give a high average power with full boost by 4000rpm and top end power at 230-240kw at the wheels. thanks for any input guys. rofl.
