  1. that's so 1:30pm.
  2. valid question I reckon. this morning I was trying to find a VW Golf forum based in australia, and I ended up signing up to the one with the most post count. CBF trawling through the content to find out if they're douchebags or if they have good content. Wish I created a thread on here instead.
  3. given a supra, 300zx and a mr2, I'd probably take the mr2 over the lot. fuck driving land barges off. at least an MR2 turbo is zip zip fun times. i automatically assume anyone driving a 300zx is in their late 30's and working some entry level job (can't afford anything better). poopra drivers are hard to predict, they're either tossers like 3 series BMW drivers or they're guys who love drag racing but got snotty with the fact that power windows don't come factory on commodores.
  4. there was pics of a certain "common mods" file that some officers were using floating around the interwebs... showed common non ADR compliant mods and where and how to spot them.
  5. LSx's are lighter, cheaper and more reliable. oh... lol yeah I used to sit about 2m away from him every day at work for a year n a bit. reminded him almost every chance I got.
  6. dan. hotlink fail. (discretion is up to the moderator at the time of the offence)
  7. I do, on a regular basis. That's why he went and bought an R33 Anything's an upgrade I suppose. Then he got a 180sx and then a Smellsior. Also if you see Ben, tell him I said hi, haven't seen him in over a year now. fugly fairladies: 1. 280Z 2. Z31 3. Z32
  8. congrats, you own the 3rd ugliest Fairlady of all time.
  9. ecu is a modded version by a bunch called "mu-kids" (ミューキッズ) the name of the ECU is mu-com (μCOM). Nothing to do with project-μ.
  10. I think that's what the issue is. The stupid people only seem to be getting stupider and higher in numbers. This means that whoever is elected needs to pander to their stupid demands or create statutes which try and combat their stupid behaviour, and thereby bring about a "nanny state" (oh you like how I brought this back on topic dontcha?) Regardless of whether someone needs to be cuddled and shielded from the elements, or whether they need to be reprimanded for being a blatant idiot, it shouldn't inconvenience the average person. I've straddled the fucking hump of the bell curve and I don't want my laws changed to benefit those on the fringes. They can fuck off and cease to exist for all I care, which I'm sure Darwinian theory will see to.
  11. problem with aussie S30's is that the cheap ones are always 2+2's and the 2 door fastbacks are almost always over 20K. Fuck that off paying that much for a rusty old heap. I don't have anywhere near the dedication or the fascination to maintain something that old for that price. If it was say... $5000 then maybe.
  12. no I mean approval on the SEVS register.
  13. lies... just like your fake hetero marriage. I know you're mad homo on the sly.
  14. Isn't it easier to get approved for LV used if there's an LV new approval in place?
  15. Never track your daily, because if it breaks then you won't be able to get around. If you do get a dedicated track car, make sure you have space to store a trailer, and a daily driver that's capable of pulling a full car trailer and car and spares.
  16. are you saying you want to have teh sekz with me? eww homo!
  17. The warning was justified. The message left attached to it, however, is a bit useless, as it doesn't give anything other than a personal opinion. We use the messages in the warning list as a general indicator of what a user has been warned about or is responsible for. Someone who has a repeat offense history is shown less tolerance etc. That kinda message doesn't help anyone.... I'm sure Adz will see to it that in future the messages he leaves on his warnings are objective and not subjective like that one. This doesn't mean that warning is gonna be removed.
  18. omg... dishhh uleh. (waits for some V8LandBarge driver to reverse mount their wheels and cruise up and down the main straight). Who's that muppet with the big head? Looks cambodian.
  19. The plastic on factory headlights gets a sort of top layer coat when it reacts over the years with UV and other elements. You can get rid of this by cutting it with a fine grit polish like AutoGlym and then polishing it. The plastic in the aftermarket indicators don't just react on the outer exposed surface, they react all the way through. No saving that.

    Dt Panels.

I'm not sold. Some of the paintjobs I've seen on mates' cars done by DT have had blemishes, runs, or simply bad prep. This is not to say all their work is that way, jus the two or three who've asked me to check out their cars. For example... one of the guys in this thread had his front bar fixed by Vu... he had a factory front bumper repaired with bog. Almost any panel beater knows you don't use regular bog that you use with fibreglass on urethane. Urethane flexes and expands at much different rates that regular bog will just crack and even chip off in some places as it doesn't bond with the urethane. It may look epic when you get it back, and for a couple of months after... but bad prep will only show through 6 months down the track. Now the forum member's happy with the quality of work he got for the price he paid, but seriously, why not charge a little more and do the job properly? I don't see how the blame needs to be put on "lazy" customers when it comes to matters of expertise that lies with the panel beater. The common customer isn't gonna know about the finer details of proper prep work, nor should they. They should be able to go to a panel beater in confidence that proper work will be carried out. All they have to do is pay the panel beater for the work. I'm not saying don't go to DT, but the guys who do, don't skimp on the costs and then complain, pay them a little extra and get it done properly. A "bog and spray" isn't how you fix everything.
  21. next VIC election someone should take out primetime ads to promote Cluey Voter http://www.clueyvoter.com Let people pick what issues are relevant to them and their views and then suggest a member whose policies reflect theirs.
  22. They're actually holding value relatively well in the UK compared to the Golfs, I'm sure it'll change slightly in a year's time. LCS?
  23. haha that looks like so much fun. but all that snow must be hell on the underbody.
  24. I'll tell you when I see the car. All I know is that its a MK4 Golf Petrol if that helps, so def not a TDi.
  25. welcome! Think I've seen you on GTRC. you run a race on space savers? awesome!
