  1. put it in ya van narkeh.
  2. I work for a multinational in the marketing/IT dept and its fairly relaxed here. HR seems more interested in my posture and distance my screen is from my face instead.
  3. I think people see raindrops on their windscreen and veer straight into the nearest object on the road. dandy to burwood -> 10 mins. burwood to camberwell -> 45 mins due to 3 accidents on the three main roads that go to camberwell from burwood. WTF.
  4. doesn't that only work on horizontal layouts of light though? ie sky on top, land at bottom?
  5. met a few years ago in a trip to jp, very cool dude... and possibly the most ballsiest driver in D1. the lines he holds at epic speeds is just amazing to watch.
  6. Guess I'm more comfortable working in hex and flashing EEPROMs from my uni days. Its not that hard to erase and reprogram anyways, just use a baby bottle steriliser to erase and start again. Emulator + Hex Editor + serial programmer = oldschool.
  7. graduate recruitment process is balls. seriously, people just get treated like shit. so glad I leapfrogged that shit and started working before I finished uni. I'd rage out at all the HR people if I had to go through all the hoops my mates are jumping through.

  10. yup. safer option would just be to get inline "Speed Defender"/fuel cut removers etc. At least they do only one thing and that's it. all the Mines ECU's etc are just a chip with a slight remap of A/F ratios and a few Hex values changed to remove limiters or move them higher up. Problem is, there is no way of knowing if its a factory remap (that takes a factory spec setup and tweaks the ratios to get more performance) or if its been custom mapped by its previous owner for a balls out system that was on its car. for example: My GTS4 runs a 2530, intercooler, exhaust etc, and I've got a remapped ECU using an EEPROM to let me run all day on about 14 P/sI. For all intents and purposes it looks and works like a factory ECU. Put it on a car running a standard setup and it'll cause troubles. That said, I'd take a standard ECU with a remap that's custom tuned over shelling out for a Nistune... in an R32 anyway. Maybe use a Nistune to get the map right (as an EEPROM has to be removed, flashed, reinstalled, run, and repeated all over till it's just right, comapred to a Nistune which can be altered live).

  12. that's exactly what they're based on... R33 GTS4's 4 door sedans. Basically the chassis is put together at nissan, but before the mechanicals go onto it, its pulled off the line and sent to Autech/Nismo/Altia/HKS etc. If you punch the number in Nissan FAST, a blue box pops up and tells you that its a special edition and that you need to contact the shop for further details.
  13. topless thursday tomorrow.
  14. i might have the vin of an autech somewhere.... i'll get back to u if i find one. from memory they were ENR33-XXXXXX
  15. i'll have a look in the shop... i'm sure theres one in the parts bin... usually mines, nismo or kakimoto are the big name shop ones... i've got a no name chip in mine with a retune... works fine. keep in mind this is 1989 computer tech. your wristwatch now has more going for it electronically. as said before god knows whats on those maps, so make sure you get a remap with a tune for your car.
  16. 3sgte? seems to work for elises
  17. Today Tonight is using Channel 9's fuckup (bad reporting, shonky editing and dodgy sources) to make a stab at Top Gear, which Channel 9 acquired the rights to last year. Top Gear is a ratings cash cow, make the public complain about the program by writing in, and it'll be yanked off the air. Channel 7 wins. Kapish?
  18. If I were you I'd be looking at RNN14 GTi-R or HNU13 Bluebird running gear and SR20DET's, they're the most potent version of the engine and they're AWD (albeit not ATTESA-ETS like the GTR, but close). Was good enough to conquer rallies back in the day.
  19. that's it? duuude. we do far worse at work.
  20. lol @ paying that much for a mines chipped ECU.
