  1. shoulda known it'd be a QLD when you started quote hp figures. Those guys up there love measuring in hp, suppose it's a bigger number than kW. If you want I know a whole bunch of mechanics in Brissy/Goldy that can check the car for you before you commit. But yeah, good luck with rego/roady. Interstate cars need to be inspected fully prior to rego. Tell your parents to take the car in for the inspection. If they see your lanky ass they'll tell you to go take the mods off and come back. Seriously, the inspectors are picky based on your attitude/appearance.
  2. in other news, anyone got a cheap VW Golf MK4 or MK5 for sale? R32 -> Camaro Cefiro -> Golf fuck you RB loving kents in the eye with a big fat dick.
  3. yeah wtf... I use google maps all the time on my iphone and it accounts for maybe max 20mb a month.
  4. since when was niggeroj awesome? I suppose he did just notch his car's awesomeness up a bit with better fitment. Get out of my head!
  5. aw shiet, I'm late to the gangbang as per usual. Can we redo for next week? I'll even phone ahead and make a booking with the mobile EPA...
  6. i forgot to turn my AC off and woke up to a 18 degree house.
  7. can't make it... mum's birthday. shame, i like the duck there, and its so close to me too. I might just duck in for a bit maybe me and Hamish can do a private duck meeting.
  8. yeah the D80/D90 doesn't do mirror lock up, only the D300 and higher. Suppose that's OK for a prosumer DSLR. This thing just delays the exposure by a second, kinda lame, but meh. Never used it, between using the timer or remote with a tripod pretty much gurantees shake free shots. Might be of help to those who don't have access to one of the two.
  9. wow panties in a bunch, post up saying you don't like internet arguments and you keep goin on fb and SAU nice. lol standard. yes

  11. lol jizzy boy, you realise the more you comment back on fb, the more I'll embarrass you right? praps let it go now while you can?
  12. I got one for my Nikon, a 3rd party one from china with shutter lock for $5 delivered off ebay. Works fine, its just a switch on a cable. The D90 has a feature which allows you to delay the shutter by 1 second so when you press it on a tripod you don't get a shake from pressing the button. Not sure about other models/brands.
  13. sif, the more info the better. love learning what rigs and equipment people are using.
  14. nah mine just has one caliper locked permanently. It compresses, but then doesn't flow backwards. Guessing there's something in the ABS lines that's acting as a one way valve. Gonna bleed it n see what happens... just need to get around to doing it.
  15. sif, does great skids. i need to unfuck its ABS system though, so I can drive it again. I miss driving it.
  16. I'm guessing one speedlight and a reflector from the reflections on the drops.
  17. mine's for sale if you want it.can supply with stock go fast bits or not depending on how ethnic you get and try to haggle. comes in 6 different body colours simultaneously. two owners since new with full books. both owners liked teh go fast pedal.
  18. gold coast/brissy has a healthy drift scene, I'd say better than any other area in australia. there's guys who have laurels just like yours who live in the area. Try posting an intro to yourself and your car in the cefiro/laurel section (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Cefiros-4-Door-Sedans-Ta-f83.html). Modification rules vary from state to state, but AFAIK if your car can get a roadworthy cert from the mechanic you can register it, regardless of modifications. You'll only run into trouble with mods if you get picked up by the police and they go over your car. You can pick up a laurel/cefiro with basic mods for about AUD$8,000 to AUD$10,000, so you should decide if its worth bringing your car over, or just picking one up when you get here.

  20. oh and... yeah boyeeeeeee...
  21. Jizzy boy, you'll need an AWD engine for ease of transfer, but even then you'll have to change the ECU over, possibly some wiring, while you're at it you'll need to upgrade your brakes if you wanna have it engineered... oh and you'll need to get it engineered if you wanna stay legal. Not to mention it'll be an auto, and making it a manual is about the hardest swap you can do cos your choices are "R33 S2/R34 GTR gearbox", or "R32 GTR/GTS4 gearbox plus a lot of messing around". If I were you just make mad cash moneh by selling it to some P-plater stooge that wants to jump the cool car bandwagon by buying a heavy ass non turbo. The moment you turbo it, it'll drop in value. In short, DO NOT BUY AN AWD SKYLINE unless its a GTR. Trust me, I own one... and unless you're gonna be happy with it the way it is for as long as you have it, don't buy it.
  22. pic of the day for yesterday... another one of Chewbacca.
  23. yeah only 11ty billion 1989 and 1990 R32 GTR's made it in during the 2 year window of opportunity before they changed the laws to pre 1988 only cars. Hell, I bought and sold 2 in that window. don't get me wrong, I loooove R32 GTR's... they're as pure and tough as a mustang fastback or lambo countach. It just saddens me to see the crap some people do to them because they've become cheap and affordable so its easily accessible to people who aren't purists or fans. For example, atm R34 GTR's are still out of reach to the budgets of the average bogan/muzza, so the only ones you see are stock, or owned by guys who mod them tastefully. Imagine if you could pick one up for $10000 to $12000...
  24. 240K coupe is worth $1600 if its in good condition... how u gonna get it from SA to melb tho?
