  1. is that burgandy or the nismo red stagea?
  2. lol as if a run of the mill predominantly junior marketing intern owned 3 series beemer is a sign of luxury. that's like assuming sipping cheap champagne in copious amounts at melbourne cup day can turn you from a skank to a lady.
  3. yup, there's models called the GTS4's which are AWD passenger cars in 2 door or 4 door config. They run similat ATTESA AWD systems to the GTR's but aren't as powerful, and use the non GT-R body shape while retaining the GT-R chassis. in the R32's they're called GTS4's which are 2.0L Turbo in R33's they're called GTS4's which are 2.5L Non Turbo in R34's they're called GT-Four's which are 2.5L Non Turbo also All come with manual or auto gearboxes. There's also Stagea's which are 2.5L Turbo AWD's mostly in auto with very limited numbers in manual, which have a station wagon body shape, but have similar ATTESA AWD systems to GTR's. Stagea's have a top of the line model called a 260RS which is a 2.6L twin turbo GTR engine and gearbox equipped station wagon, made by Autech (a subdivision of Nissan, kinda like FPV to Ford)
  4. yes, finally shows up. What this means is that now RAWS can apply to compliance the car to australian standards... of course this means that evidence will have to be provided to gain the ability to comply them... so it might be a while before we see them parallel imported. However this doesn't stop workshops bringing in "test cars" to make modifications and gather data from. Depending on what format Nissan Australia uses to bring in the R35's, if they were to import them as low volume, then parallel importation for the whole period is possible. However if Nissan Australia gets full volume importation then we won't be able to import cars made during that period. Anyways, the good news is, from now till Nissan Australia officially sells its first R35, any R35 made in japan is eligible for import (providing it complies with the "new car" regulations, as that's what the approval is for.) I'd say any price under $150,000 should be competitive enough.
  5. also its not a luxury sedan, like say a GS300 or SC300 or an M3 or M5. its a Nissan sports car at the end of the day, and people that can afford cars in that price range aren't gonna be snooty rich folk who buy it for status, they're gonna be entusiasts, and grown ups with a childhood need for thrills. Face it, when you go for a wife swapping party, and you have to drop your keys in the hat, would you rather drop one with a mercedes or lexus keytag or a nissan one?
  6. blue bulb, mkes a yellow light look white.
  7. tempted to drive the 'line to adelaide... might as well destroy the front bumper before the new paint and bodykit. hell the kit's coming from Viva garage, I might even be able to put it on the car while I'm there
  8. they come with RB25's but only non turbo. for 5G's I'd be reinforcing the engine, putting a 2530 or equivalent and making it flow freely (intake, exhaust mods), a decent tuning solution (powerFC, or some piggy back) to control boost and fuel maps. Its a bit of a stretch, but doable. That way you can concentrate on a good solid, reliable engine that you can make sing day after day, and leave the guys who drop RB25's into their R32's to chase the high numbers on a stock engine, which will eventually die from being pushed too hard.
  9. you'd be surprised. a lot of people on here over the age of 25 should be able to factor it into their budgets, work out a loan, refinance their house, pimp the wife/gf to get the money together. if I didn't think that buying a new car off the showroom floor is the biggest waste of money I'd be all for it.
  10. think he meant "is the video translated"
  11. ohhhhhhh.. oh. ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh! epic lulz. had me guessing.
  12. its called the A450 cos it came standard with 450hp, and its even rarer than the HKS Zero-R R32 GTR.
  13. mmm I've seen it, just off Rundle st right? yeah might make a booking with them.
  14. those guys from zeroyon tried to tell em too before the car went on the show, but they still kept it on. maybe someone told em it was funny.
  15. yeah, you actually own a GT-L, but no one had the heart to tell those industrious little fellows they'd made a mistake.
  16. lol was thinkin of usin the car to go to the clubs on the beach strip as I don't think public transport runs at 3am. we're comin in for the cricket double header, and unfortunately I didn't know about the clipsal otherwise I'd have applied for longer leave... I'll see if I can extend it. I was thinking of stayin in North Adelaide... probably around where adelaide uni is. short walk from the city etc. last few times I was in Adelaide I ended up at Red Room on friday nights and mainly pubs and stuff on other nights.
  17. welcome mate... please show us pics of your car... there's a few guys on this forum with R34 faced stags or in the process of building one. I'm sure they'll be very interested to hear more about your car.
  18. Apex Engineering already made an R32 look like an alfa in the early 90's. They called it the Apex A450.
  19. what were you doing running around with the flash between the cars? that technique greatly intrigued me. can you explain it to me?
  20. what's a cheap plce to rent a car in adelaide? I'll be there from the 15th of feb till the 20th and want a car to go to the beach and the vineyards. we got like rent a bomb in melb but can't seem to find anything similar in adelaide.
  21. that's a factory option boot lip for GTR's... it was supposed to sit under the GTR wing, but a lot of guys take the wing off and run just the lip.
  22. then don't try to buy a shitbox 15 year old GTR that's been gangbanged by a group of 16-20 year olds on a McDonalds wage. pay a little extra coin for a nice factory spec car which has been well maintained and respected for what it is and you'll get what you're asking for.
  23. the next cock jockey that posts IBTL will be getting a warning.
  24. actually the S13 can be roadworthied in melb, and complied too... cos its a 15yr old... but its not eligible for import any more, under the old system yes.
  25. Pat, just bite the bullet and install an FMIC with a return pipe that uses the stock hole, don't run a pod and you'll be street legal. and rig it up so you don't have to cut into the bumper support. failing that, how about two SMIC's it'll drop your pressure a bit, but its still legal
