  1. uhhhh... turbo lag is caused by the turbo used, not the engine.
  2. i've only ever had VICroads do a number check on the car (ie sight VIN's and Engine No's) they disregarded the T88 high mount that was on one of the cars I took to register. If you have your RWC, unless the car's totally suss I doubt you'll have any issues... that said if they pick you up then all they'll do is ask the RWC issuer if the car was in the same state when you got the cert done... which they'll deny. But something like rust is hard to cause in the 30 day period since you get the RWC.
  3. yeah gonna grab it for PS2... EA website says Nov 1st release, but i'm guessin it'll be a while before the PAL English ISO is available for download
  4. i've got no doubt that josie will make an excellent mum... but ni... you're like havin darth vader for a dad.
  5. Front seat fully forward (black edition with strip club red carpets) Front seat fully back and if you're a big tall white guy you're gonna need all that space... so hope your passengers don't have legs.
  6. Aston martin V8 Vantage uses DSG rearmounted gearbox, and offers a rear mounted manual gearbox too. Its not impossible and Nissan wouldn't be reinventing the wheel if they had to offer it. Think they were just rushed for a release so they didn't have time to refine it... that or they wanna push as many DSG models out of the showroom as quickly as possible before moving onto manual sales.
  7. congrats Ni... now you can say "who's your daddeh?" in open conversation.

  9. welcome dude... wow nice n clean n stock. kinda looks like mill park in the photos?
  10. never really have an issue at the airport... usually I wander off, get a coffee, come back and my bag's done a couple of rounds, so I pick it up and go. avoids the crowds. if I'm in a rush, I just bump people out of the way if they don't move for a polite "excuse me". lol I stand in front of the kabana section trying to figure out if I wanna get the kransky, kabana or the sausages... and I never know till somoene forces me to make a decision. anywho... something that shits me... writer's block. hate it. I have an article due by tomorrow and I'm more inspired to do anything other than write. totally blows goats.
  11. Putting aside the fact that EVERY single one is built by hand, and the fact that each one is built to go into an R35 GTR, which there is a backlog for... do you seriously see them being made available to the public in the next year? I'm guessing you'll be able to buy the block if you're a reputable tuning shop or Nissan affiliate, but other than that your chances are slim to none. Now combine that with the fact that atm outside of nissan and a select handful of japanese tuning shops, no one in the world knows how to build one of these engines or tune them... and you'll start realising how much of a pipe dream it is. Great idea in concept, but not practical. I dunno why you'd wanna burden such a state of the art engine with an old R32... for starters where would you mount the gearbox?
  12. no, the GTS4 has 22 teeth on the bit that hooks up tot he gearbox and the GTR has 21. you can use any manual GTSt cable as I believe they're 22 teeth.
  13. back when I had an R32 GTS I had a fujitsubo legalis R exhaust and a legalis super Ex extractor system. was 2.5" and it droned like a bitch... plus the full stainless system added this tinny noise that made the car sound wierd when it revved. ended up ditching the legalis R (sold it for a mint too to some brand name hugging buyer on ebay) and getting Tuffy's mufflers in sydney to make me up a custom exhaust. Again done in stainless steel, but this time with a proper resonator to get rid of that metallic noise from the exhaust, and cut down the drone. Still got a little metallic noise from the extractors, but it wasn't that bad. Since they were both 2.5" I didn't really see any change in performance or response, but the change in noise was amazing. the problem with the fujitsubo, and I suspect with other japanese off the shelf items is that they are designed for turbo AND non turbo applications, not designed for use with an australian cat converter and don't have to meet the same noise emissions as we do. Getting a custom one made up will sort that all out for you. the extractors and the exhaust:
  14. owner's a regular drifter. cheap rubber, multiple sets.
  15. apparently... that's why he has two rear wings to keep him grounded.
  16. i'm in ur profile... checkin ur posts.

  17. i want a chrome plated roof on my car.
  18. providing your tyres aren't stretched, you're looking at a total rolling diameter of 25.3 inches in the front and 25 inches in the back. the widths don't matter and the profiles don't matter, as long as you get the rolling diameters even or slightly larger in the rear. When you have a larger diameter wheel in front it'll think that there's traction loss in the rear and send power to the front. If you have larger diameter wheels in the back, then it'll detect that there's traction loss at the front and won't send as much power to the front as it would if it were even. My advice to you would be to go UP to a 265/40/17 in the rear. It'll make the overall rolling diameter of the front and back even.
  19. I know... I want it in my R32 to get rid of that nose heavy weight balance.
  20. 3" is a bit big for an N/A i reckon... you won't get enough back pressure.... it'll kill your low end torque. comparing kw's before and after is pretty stupid when it comes to an exhaust, especially on an N/A. you need to focus more on the power delivery thru the rev range before and after. a good exhaust will boost your torque and power throughout the rev range, not just peak power.
  21. buy a regular kingswood and put a 20bTT in it. do it... do it.
  22. http://www.j-spec.com.au/list/5143 we came across a bus a while back that had over 1 million genuine km's on it.

  24. bollocks. get the custom made one. if the guys making the exhaust have half a clue they should be able to craft one that gives you enough flow but still keeps the noise down.
