The R35 Gt-r - Is It Part Of The Skyline Legacy?
funkymonkey replied to Spunky Munky's topic in R35 GTR
yes well you gotta keep the signature icons of the skyline, otherwise fanboys in the US will think its just a Z... Whore the heritage and hype of the skylines and give the GT-R more exclusivity by separating it from the common-folks' passenger cars and you have an instant money maker. -

this is the 2007 Nissan R35 GT-R: this is the 2008 Nissan V37 Skyline two totally seperate entities. you can thank Ghosn for that one (who still deserves a punch on the cock for it) -
The R35 Gt-r - Is It Part Of The Skyline Legacy?
funkymonkey replied to Spunky Munky's topic in R35 GTR
its a GTR, not a skyline. the skyline's gone back to being the regular passenger car that it started out being in the 60's. -
think he meant on the announcement of V Specs... good to see a solid confirmation on gearboxes. I really don't get this "I can't drive my car on the track with a DSG" bullshit... Rally, GT and F1 drivers have been paddle shifting for a while now and they seem to be doin just fine. as for scans... all of it if its not asking too much of your time. no such thing as too much info. if its in japanese, a high res scan will make it easier to translate.

for starters that bonnet and exhaust needs to be changed with better lightweight stuff. full titanium exhausts are already being developed. then there's the bodykits... from what I've read a whole heap of potential owners would prefer the front bumper style of the Proto over the production model. Not to mention guys who wanna develop stroker kits and people who want more power. besides... emissions compliance is for people who like warranties... i'm sure once you rip out half the shit in that car which allows it to meet the gay American emissions standards you'd have a car that breathes a lot better.

i run unix on my ps2... works as a great network DVD/HDD share. my old xbox is now my temp media centre until i get around to building a proper home ent. PC

call em, give em a credit card number n tell em to post it to you. this is new zealand we're talkin about. they speak english... or something similar to it anyways. edit: just noticed you were in germany... postage might be more than the cost of item to you... surely you could get one welded up locally cheaper? 32 gtr, 32 gtst, ceffy are all the same

http://www.towbarfactory.co.nz/index.php?p...;towbars_id=393 made to fit R32's... and rated at 500kg unbraked and 1200kg braked.

its Japanese Sportscar 2.0... 1.0 was back in the early 90's when the FD, R32, Z32, NSX, Supra, GTO etc were all sluggin it out. cept now they all have yuppie inspired environmentally friendly emissions and gay safety standards compliance. round 2... fight!

AE86 also sports a solid rear axle, piss poor breaks, horrible rear suspension geometry... plus you'd be hard pressed to find an 86 that doesn't creak, groan and shudder like its about to shed panels on you. The chassis twists on most of them more than that rear suspension. I used to have an AE86 which I was building for track work... with a 160kw CA18DET i'd have the same power to weight ratio as a 300kw GTR. The bloody thing felt like a deathtrap every time I stepped in it even with an 8 point rollcage. Its just antiquated, steering's all oldschool, the shifter's not high up, just little things that add up.

cashing in on other's stupidity is always a good thing. consumer electronics NEVER appreciate in the short term... do it! do it!

if the libs stay in government and the US crashes as spectacularly as it has so far it probably will

I was actually quite serious about everything except Ghosn. I wanna see them suzuki girls they're rumoured to be sensational... and the new Honda CR-Z hybrid. Plus the cutout is really cool. one of the other guys took a walk around vid of it, but I'd love to know what turbo's they're using.

are you smokin da reefer? R32's are virtually an R31 GTSR with rounded edges, and the evolutionary step from R30 to R31 is pretty obvious. C10 -> C110 was a bit of a shift C210 -> R30 was a bit of a shift... the rest were pretty easy to see. R34 -> V35 was a bit of a jump... V37 -> R35 is kinda close, even though its not meant to be an evolution.

Wheels' finger on the pulse is comparable to a mortician. that "response to the GT-R's time" set by the GT2 was back in August, well before Nissan's lap time was set. The GT-R set out to take on the 911 Turbo's time, and it did it, but then it was suggested that they might gun for the GT2's time seeing as they were so close to it... would have been a bonus, but not the point of the exercise. Goddamn Wheels is like the Today Tonight or Current Affair of motoring journalism... sensationalist badly researched garbage.

about 90% of the signatures on that are idiots posting shit. not the best thought out submission form yet. wouldn't been smarter to need an email confirmation.
-
no... now there's "the GTR" and "skylines". he just took a big steaming dump on the family name of your car.
-
nothing... just think it rates highly in comedic value... tho whole time he was babbling on about the GT-R being the ooooltimate expression of Nissan's pipe dreams I felt like punching him on the cock. plus he oversaw the split of the GT-R from the Skyline lineage.
-
you needs to cut those number plate brackets back. but yeah... looks hot. White R32 GTR's are the shiz.
-
please refer to the R35 GT-R section: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/f80.html
-
oh also... theres a cutout GT-R with the turbos stickin off it... can you try to get the serial numbers off it? and someone there what cosworth and all those companies once rumoured to collaborated on the GT-R ended up contributing.
-
can you get a vid of the pivo2's head speaking? oh and teh Honda CR-Z concept car oh and lots and lots of pics of the "companion" girls at the suzuki stand... ahh sweet wonderful jailbait. oh and the blonde at the chrysler display. please punch Ghosn on the cock too?

Due to every workshop under the sun being able to compliance R33's and recently R34's the cost of actually importing one is quite low compared to back in the day when compliancers tagged a hefty profit onto their compliance fees. It doesn't take the new GT-R to cause that, just an open mind.

V Spec To Be Released A Year After Gt-r Release
funkymonkey replied to funkymonkey's topic in R35 GTR
technically you can get it on SEVS even if its brought in as a full volume import as Nissan will only start sales in late 2008, wheras its available from Dec 2007 in japan. Which means that 1 year period qualifies regardless, providing someone makes a proper application prior to Nissan selling them locally.
