ahh the good old days... we gladwrapped two of the teacher's cars completely... one of the guys got into trouble though cos he thought it'd be a good idea to get on top of one of the cars and piss on it. we also got some horses from a stable down the road and packed them in the principals room and got some industrial strength gellatin from a factory and turned our swimming pool into a big huge clear jelly. wasn't flavoured/coloured tho and still tasted like piss and chlorine. one of the year 7's bounced on it when he jumped in... took about a week to break it all up and flush it out. school was pissed. we were amused. the end.

actually if you think about it, every single GTR in Nissan's history has been a straight 6... the S20 in the C10 and C110, and the RB26 in the R32, R33 and R34. I still say that the new GT-R is more Z than Skyline, just whoring on the heritage of the Skyline brand and icons.

10" wide is near impossible on the front unless you get much wider guards and beat the underskirt so there's no rubbing... maybe even tub it. we run 17x10.5's in the front and 13" in the back, but that's with a widebody, castor adjustment arms and rewelding new skirting to clear the tyres/wheels. that's so we get lots of traction on a track car. 10" wide 19's is kinda counter productive.... the profile would be so low you'd get no flex at all, would really affect the handling.

truth be told we don't know the faults of the VR38 yet either.

umm r34 gtr's have been in the 50-60K mark for a while now. R33's are in the 25-35K mark as well. the new GT-R is totally different to the Skylines (hell, its not even a skyline) and doesn't share anything like the older models. its a totally seperate car in a seperate price range... doubt it would affect anything. we've always had an almost exclusive right to the Skyline GTR's along with the kiwi's and the pommes, and it'll continue to be that way... so the market won't change at all. If anything you might see a couple more R34 and R33 GTR's come up for sale in japan as older GT-R owners trade up to the new one. The new GT-R doesn't mean that the Skyline's gonna be better supported locally by Nissan etc, they've made it a point to draw a line between the two. Except of course they'll whore the heritage and signature stove tops etc on the new GT-R... cos everyone like cult icons.
