  1. lol ferrari had a go at tiff for turning off traction control etc... but that sound as he blipped the throttle when he went thru the tunnel/archway... that's panty dropping sounds right there you'd never hear out of any GTR.
  2. the first link has non youtube video footage.
  3. that would mean you'd have it by December 2008 going by best case scenario. Highly doubtful given the backlog. In any case the whole point of low volume imports is NOT to get it BEFORE people in australia do, but as an alternative way of aquiring one, instead of being restricted to going through Nissan. Its also not the ONLY way, but meh. The easiest way is to get it on the SEVS list, get compliance, bring it down as a test vehicle. It happened before when the V35 was still being approved, companies were running around with them on the street on trade plates. But for argument sake, I'll just say you're correct rather than delve into the legalities.
  4. Try that Marc guy...
  5. http://www.j-spec.com.au/list/11330 i'd be happy with a 4 door mock up.
  6. heard yellow in auto go faster?
  7. lol col stop shit stirring. *unsubscribes*
  8. maybe you just have some air in the lines? have you tried bleeding the system?
  9. drill out the factory spot welds using a modified drill bit with a flat head. not that hard... pointless, but not hard. easier to buy fibreglass doors. you could buy the bit, but jsut as easy to machine one...
  10. you could hide the smack in the mexican children and stuff the children in the lining of your seat. just sayin.
  11. diff and gearbox ratio's being the main decider in what revs you are doing.
  12. you need the last 6 digits of the VIN for that.
  13. Nissan Australia's not exactly the bargain mechanics either... premium product means premium service prices. Grey importing in my eyes is stickin it to The Man... hehe. Might be able to get the crash test data from the US, but there's still a matter of RHD vs LHD. Meh, that's a matter for the compliancers... I think the first thing on the path to grey import GT-R's would be to get it on the SEVS list.
  14. lol its a melbourne taxi with a T wing.
  15. pfft... wait for celebs to start bashing the playstation for weeks before they get a drive to perfect their lines... always wanted a crack at the Top Gear track... excellent news.
  16. Go to: http://raws.dotars.gov.au/rawswebpublic/RAWPubSearch.asp Select "VIC" as your state, "Nissan" as your Make and "Skyline R33" as your model. It'll list ALL the compliancers in VIC who can compliance an R33. when you ask around, make sure you get a figure including tyres and other consumables, as half the time you'll get a quote for compliance, and when you get a bill you'll have +tyres, +brake pads etc.
  17. 1JZ wins on points 1 and 2... loses on point 3. If you're worried about fuel consumption you shouldn't own a sports car... so therefore 1JZ > RB25 I've seen a couple of AE86's now with 1JZ, but god knows why you'd wanna put such a nice engine into a bucket of rust and bolts. 1JZ swaps into ceffy's are rather common overseas, but locally 1JZ into cressida is king. If you have about $20,000 buy a JZX100 Chaser, if you have about $15,000 buy a JZX90 Mark II, both come with 1JZ's and are fairly nimble. I know a couple of guys in NSW running 1JZ's in silvia's and the workshop I'm with (driftline in campbellfield) is currently putting a 1JZ into a 180sx ute (roof chop).
  18. that's the US model thru amazon USA, dunno if they ship international. I'm planning on picking up a jap PS3 cheap on yahoo auctions while the dollar's strong and get one of my mates to bring it back with him in Nov. Baron von beerhousen... I know all the downfalls, but atm I'm pretty certain I'll only be playing PS3 games on it (don't have any Blu Ray DVD's, and have a PS2 for PS2 games)... plus I'm hedging my bets on a modchip comin out soon. Warranty is for white people.
  19. whoops almost forgot... limited edition gunmetal grey... just for you Baroneh
  20. real photos from the press event held by Nissan (meet the designers, PR etc)
  21. Red: White: f**k the GTR, I want those ultra low profile car trolleys.
  22. My R32 GTS4 does around 2600 to 2800 RPM (manual, modded) Ceffy about 2900 to 3200 RPM (auto, stock)
  23. new need for speed game Prostreet trailer... used to have the black mask GT-R, now shows the unmasked GTR after the official release.
  24. I saw it take a fair bit from the C110 GT-R, or Datsun 240K
  25. I have this huge stockpile of option mags and I've always wanted to be able to translate them and chuck em on the net for all to read... dunno bout copyright and my abilities tho. white never looks good on paper... although with a black bonnet and a "Proto" look front bumper it'd be the new Takumi car. Dark Metal Grey for me would be the pick of the bunch... the darker silver brings out the curves, the metallic pearl gives it the right edges.
