  1. Ahaha Bozz mate! welcome back, haven't seen you on here in ages. I'm 25 and daily drive an R32 GTS4 which looks fairly standard except for mismatched wheels front and back. Only time I've been pulled over "non randomly" is when I made the mistake of driving my mum to church in Noble Park shortly after the riots... my car got the once over and I got defected for bald tyres, which I had been procrastinating on. Other than that I've been waved into a couple of breath test's and I've been waved past a couple too. In general no hassles at all, and I drive through knox, dandy, thomastown etc all the time. Being on a full license with no loss of points helps a lot I guess.
  2. man that's all superficial stuff, just put the bumper on, get rid of the rice and jack your car up. no stress. bit harsh they got the car while parked tho... they are allowed to though.
  3. hotlink don't work mclaren... fixx0rd
  4. the easiest way to lose weight is to go on a diet, then remove all the things you don't need in it like the back seat(really... who uses their skyline's back seat for anything other than shopping bags) spare tyre and boot trim. Then replace heavy parts with lighter composite materials, start with the cheap easy ones to get, bonnet, fenders, boot, then move on to doors if you need to. DON'T fit a wanky fibreglass bodykit to your car, as it'll only weigh you down... nissan's wind tunnel tested their factory aero kits to be quite aerodynamic. More power won't make your car slow down quicker when going into turns, lose weight before you add power.
  5. well technically if the "skyline" ie prince skyline didn't come around, DOHC engines wouldn't have been popular in japanese cars. we'd all be driving around in the descendent of Isuzu Bellett GT-R's (came out 6 months after the first Skyline GT-R)... ie... Gemini's.
  6. wtf? m3 fenders, a big f**k off clothes line for a wing and more body rocking than a maternity ward... how is that good looking? and yeah that was pretty shithouse driving... don't think it even qualifies as drifting.
  7. bet you the Mines R34 GTR overheats and breaks down after a couple of laps. One is built to go fast, the other is built to go fast for a very long time.
  8. had a 180sx before my first skyline, so either still driving that, although, by now i'd probably will have upgraded to a JZX100 chaser or JZS147 aristo. depends if i wanted fun or cruisy.
  9. white walled tyres ftw its amazing what clear corners does for that car: http://www.garage-mars.net/parts/data/imag...rts_detail.html
  10. moved to VIC section as its more relevant.
  11. who are Blitz, Adam, Itz and NEM?
  12. workin on a new top layout for the light skin... turned off a couple of the other skins that weren't being used... much. only light and dark available to public now.
  13. sorry dude, got totally wasted last night n spent the night at the ex's apartment... so only got home just then. better late than never eh? so yeah mud, you gotta change the panels over for a 180sx-silvia coversion. the 180sx front on a silvia is a onevia, and the silvia front on a 180sx is a sil80. crystal?
  14. think you need one of these Poite: (link NSFW)
  15. i always check the reflection to make sure I'm not missing any of the parts of my car.... but that's just me.
  16. i fear the reason for that is in pretty much all other cases people just go out and buy an R34 instead of changing their R32 into one piece by piece. unfortunately canada only gets R32, so good on ya for making lemonade when given lemons. Bee*R's car is a bit odd, I never really liked it... I like that you're paying attention to detail and doing a full conversion. Just keep in mind that an R32's bodyline is much lower than an R34, so when you fabricate up your gaurds and stuff, make sure they don't sag. We had a customer come in with an R34 front end on his R32, and it seriously looked like it had downs syndrome or something because the front sat so low compared to the roof and the rest of the car.
  17. yeah the first couple of months... I usually don't say 1999-2000 because then people get all excited when they find a cheap Dec 2000 car and I have to tell them they can't have it.
  18. Added a holiday auto spy footage and teaser to youtube... if you haven't seen em before... enjoy:
  19. its in malaysia... labour is cheap, parts are pretty easy to find too.
  20. what was with the stig's african cousin?
  21. you'd be the first to find out
  22. yeah the S13 panels and the 180SX panels fit onto the same chassis. technically you need to change the rad support to make the pop ups fit 100% but you can ghetto it without it. just so that you're clear... I'll post this info again tomorrow so you're absolutely certain.
  23. best bet would be to pull one off a GTR and then fab up the rest. Just do it the easy way and use a Q45/ford throttle body. Swap in a VQ35DE if you want to be different, and stay N/A with good power. I went thru this whole phase when I was lookin at building my R32 GTS, in the end figured its a lot cheaper to go for forced induction. M3 style N/A power is very expensive on a Skyline.
  24. gah my ban stick don't work as well as it used to. brb gotta fix ban stick.
