  1. more airflow, better control over intake, etc, but by the same token its harder to tune, more prone to faults (you'll have 6 things to go wrong instead of one) and you'll need to upgrade your TPS, ECU etc. The R32 GT-B came with an RB26DE with GTR individual throttle bodies, and there are adapter kits for L28 hex throttle bodies onto RB's available in japan... dunno if its worth all that effort for an N/A.
  2. what state are you in?
  3. needs a chandalier on the inside.
  4. will you seperate the both door handles from the rear doors? how much?
  5. Illegal in melbourne too. Forward facing lights must either be amber for indicating or between 5500K and 6000K (or something like that) basically regular headlight white. besides, everyone will think you're the biggest tryhard ever if you put them on. The police are doing you a favour.
  6. No they don't. Cars are added to the SEVS list as applications are approved. These applications are totally seperate from the application process of a RAW to become a compliance plate issuer. However to be eligible to be ont he SEVS list it has to meet certain criteria, and not sharing a silhouette with a locally sold full volume model is one of them. So if the application is made before Nissan sells them locally then its eligible (as it'll more than likely meet the other requirements), if the application is made after, its not.
  7. that's exactly what happens, but to be eligible to import (ie make it onto the SEVS list) its the application date that matters. Once its on the SEVS list, then anyone can apply to comply it and go thru the process you've described.
  8. new gtr at the sydney motor show? your crack dealer's been offloading some bad produce on you.
  9. doesn't matter when the compliance is gotten as long as the application is done. Compliance for 1999 S15's was applied for before Nissan started selling them in full volume, hence why we can only import S15s made in 1999. There *are* competent compliancers out there who actually know what they're doin, just as there are complete muppets who drag things on
  10. the one I've got sorta looks like this: but instead of the dunnydore in front featured its the GT-R.
  11. tharrr she blows!
  12. adviced you to sell the Evo? that dear lad, is a keeper... got a good head on her shoulders, unlike some who actually willingly buy them.
  13. also given the "100 GT-R's" only deal that's rumoured for australia Nissan might decide to grey import them (like they did in the UK), which means regular compliancers can bring in cars from the same vintage. Its a cat n mouse game. Begins late Oct.
  14. lol didn't realise who was posting and was about to say "just go out n buy an R34 GTR, it'd be cheaper" then saw the numberplates n realised you weren't in Australia. also could explain why half those pics looked familiar, cos I've seen em on GTRC. hehe, nice work... I know you've been planing this forever. must feel good to see physical progress.
  15. wow the way that cars split, lookin at those pics, i'd be thinking it was cut n shut before. doesn't look like it was a huge hit, yet the car's in two.
  16. you could take the windscreen off and blast hot air at your feet. skylines don't run zoned climate control, so unfortunately its not possible.
  17. http://jrweare.googlepages.com/browser2.0
  18. Nissan genuine parts? RH Strut Assembly Part No: 65470-71L10 LH Strut Assembly Part No: 65470-71L00
  19. he's talking about the lip on the bottom of the bumper, its another conversation goin in the thread
  20. so you reckon jesus would do better magic tricks than david copperfield on stage in the present day? that, just like this discussion, is one that is heavily biased by your opinion, and as such there's no right answer... and those opposing your views aren't going to accept your rationale, faultless as it may seem to you.
  21. lol not much of that Nissan chassis left I don't even know what this is, but it looks hella cool.
  22. is it a tube frame or standard chassis? thing's tubbed like a mofo. good work.
  23. you'd think now would be the best time to cash in... hit up nissan with a big paycheck before they sue his ass for copyright.
