  1. hmm... wierd, we're not atm, but when I was logged in just before posting I could've sworn the load average was sitting on 3.4 or thereabouts. atho I could've misread that.
  2. we're not criticising the weight of the wheel, but rather, the quality.
  3. No different at all, same laws apply regardless of country. SEVS if he's owned it for less than 1 year, private import if he's had it for more.
  4. lol those taillights remind me of a thai/malaysian bazaar.
  5. any company that does gas struts should be able to supply you with one that fits... finding the right places to mount them is the tricky bit
  6. cefiro's run struts in the front and back. r32's don't run struts in the rear, they use a spring load. as a rule of thumb sports cars dont use struts for weight saving. back in the day it was seen as a luxury item.
  7. hmm just drew a picture and yeah you're right, it would actually give you an extra 7-10mm of clearance over most GTR wheels. it'd stick out about an inch and a half outside the guard tho.
  8. we've moved servers to the US (previously the SQL data was hosted in Australia and the image server was in the US), which means there's more hops than there used to be with the old server. ATM, we're hosting with EV1/theplanet, who are supposed to have one of the biggest backbones in the US, but it'll still be a tad delayed as the server's running at max load and because of the number of hops.
  9. don't own... work for. i do the backend coding for the auction bidding system and dealer cars n stuff. occasionally i find some cars for the guys to put on the mailing list, just for SAU members.
  10. added some of the devil z style cars I came across to the mailing list. http://www.j-spec.com.au/list/11158 http://www.j-spec.com.au/list/11156 and my personal fav: http://www.j-spec.com.au/list/11157
  11. keep your private collection to yourself just a reminder that this isn't the wasteland, so behave.
  12. very easily if you import it...18k-ish if you bought locally.
  13. no tv here as well set top box broked and projector has no tuner. time to go over to a mates house methinks
  14. you mean china spec led lights, even the ones in japan are chinese garbage, unless you get the $600 nismo ones
  15. yeah was nice to meet up, and see many fresh faces... some really nice cars too... lol really made mine look all banged up and held together by zipties (which reminds me, I should snip em). Was waiting to hear Troy's wastegate symphony, but left before they started
  16. lol mate... i'm almost convinced you'd have done the dutton rally in board shorts and thongs if the regs allowed you to.
  17. just got back from the brandon park meet... good attendence... about 30-40 cars maybe? Brisby's cruising with em in board shorts and thongs. was almost tempted to give him my jacket so he wouldn't freeze to death, but I'm guessing he can sark piss somewhere along the way to warm him up.
  18. stick some red tint over the centre circle which is the reflector. then you're legal. mind you then you'll have albino eyes on the back of your car.
  19. as long as your rolling diameter of the wheel (including tyre) is the same front and back then you should be fine. so staggered wheels are OK, as long as the rears are wider than the front so that ATTESA doesn't think you're constantly losing traction. however you have to be VERY careful with your tyre selection. If you cheap out and try and stretch tyres on the rears you might not get the rolling diameters right. Or if you do stretch tyres on the rear, make sure the profile of the tyre in front is suitably similar. With a +5 offset on a 10.5 make sure you clear the strut, as I think it might be sunk too far in. And if you use spacers your wheel might end up sticking out by an inch over a lipped guard.
  20. *yaaaaaaawn* lol sundays are for sleeping in ah well... won't be cruising, but will come down to brandon park to say hi.
  21. ooo this one's out my way will try to at least make the Brandon park shops meet. Its still not raining heavy in dandy... just drizzle and high wind... hope it buckets overnight n clears up in the morning.
  22. was it hard swallowing all that meat while lying on your back? aye? aye? wink wink nudge nudge.
  23. had one of the guys who drops into the workshop use the JJR's and claim that he could run plugs gapped at 1.1 on em like they were 0.8's... that's something standard's can't do, and mean that they do pack a bit of a wallop. they're starting to sound like a real good alternative/performance upgrade.
  24. hahaah you guys found em... thought you might like em... they're not EXACTLY the midnight wangan car (DOHC L28 with twin turbos n all) but I thought the blue S30's might be fun to see on the list. also devil tax is now in full swing... we found about 5 of em and they all had pretty high numbers on the price compared to others not modified in that style. That said S30's in good condition are pretty expensive to start out with, just like the C10 skylines.
