  1. hawsome! is there an SAU GM anytime soon that I can get em off you? whereabouts are you anyways? I'm in dandy these days.
  2. cordless FTL. latency, weight from batteries, lower resolution and constantly having to recharge all makes them blow goats, and the only decent cordless ones that solve these issues are like over $100 for the mouse alone. I can deal with a wire attached to my PC.
  3. ceedub... R32's a little too different to the others, hopefully can get an R34 one, but failing that R33. so bec and sarah... i can haz GTR bdjus?
  4. they look just like work VS-XX, but twice the price.
  5. who'd you buy the tv thru? pricejapan.com?
  6. now who's talking spanish?
  7. actually i just saw my mate's 46" X Series tonight with the white surround... he has it against a feature wall and it looks kinda ghey. droolworthy picture quality tho.
  8. limited edition gunmetal grey tv is JDM? that's tyte yo. does it have a VTEC sticker too?
  9. yup... prepare for the onslaught of neons and naaaaws.
  10. some f the guys were just discussing this the other day in another thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/t186490.html the little mushroom thing is called a release pivot (the release fork pivots on it). its really easy to source and only costs about $20-$30 for a new one from nissan. some of us go for strengthened ones from nismo, but if you've got a mild clutch then its overkill. Jump in that thread I linked to above, one of the guys might actually have figured out how to take it out without dropping the gearbox like the rest of us
  11. reach down the side with a flashlight and read the engine block number? should tell you if its a 20 or a 25.
  12. where are we gonna find a place in australia that makes a luther burger?
  13. oh... been a while since I saw troy.
  14. take it apart, they're usually only held together by about 8 screws.
  15. You should PM Autotrust on the forum, he's not as active, but back in the day he used to do some crazy things with gemmy's. He's in the SE burbs too and loves a yarn about gemmys. The 2JZ in the AE86 is out of a 1993 supra I think (not sure) but its a late model engine anyways. They cost about $2500 with an auto gearbox, manual gearboxes are rare and expensive. The engine's actually bigger than an RB26, its a 3.0L... its just that the turbo's huge. If you want a toyota engine, then I'd look at a 1JZ turbo engine, which you should be able to pick up with a manual gearbox for around $2500. The big issue with gemmy's and inline 6 engines is that the firewall needs to be modified. If you wanna do a nissan engine, then jam a VG30DETT engine in there... 3.0L twin turbo, heaps of torque. They're not as long as an RB so you should be able to get away with not modifying the firewall.
  16. anywho... turdy... use this page to decode the %20's etc back to text form http://meyerweb.com/eric/tools/dencoder/
  17. LIES! I flushed her down the loo with her friend the toothfairy after they didn't cough up the dough for my molar.
  18. ^^ that's a 4 cylinder DOHC. You can also use a Z18 DOHC head to make an L20 into a DOHC. L28's are 6 Cylinder nismo makes a DOHC head too for the L28 from what I've read. I was actually reading an article this morning in a japanese mag about some guy's Z with an LD28 (converted to petrol) and DOHC head... I'll see if I can scan the article. link to the hybridz buildup: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=120659

  20. I've been using a wacom graphire at home since 2002 which I scored when I upgraded to a Intuos at work. so my pc's totally miceless. edit: actually i tell a fib, sometimes some apps don't support it, which is when the MS optical mouse comes out of the drawer.
  21. apparently there's a competition open to nissan staff, where if you make a winning 10 minute short film on GTR's you get to go to the Tokyo Auto Salon. Might just be the US though.
  22. can I ask why you're not going with something simple like a power FC? only thing about a flashed ECU is that its a once off, and to redo it you'll have to reflash the thing, and there's only so many people who have the knowledge to do it. At least with a power FC you have a choice of tuners. that said, given the choice between microtech and sam, I'd go with sammety sam.
  23. did troy do it or his mate that owns the paint shop (forgot his name, arab dude)?
  24. bit off topic, but roughly what's the diameter of the indicators? just trying to figure out if Narva 86090 indicators could be used instead ($20 a pair ) and they're 84mm across.
  25. there's a few people doing these swaps... the first thing that came to mind was the 2JZ AE86 corolla More from that article: http://mkiv.supras.org.nz/images/articles/hpi12_trueno1.jpg http://mkiv.supras.org.nz/images/articles/hpi12_trueno2.jpg http://mkiv.supras.org.nz/images/articles/hpi12_trueno3.jpg http://mkiv.supras.org.nz/images/articles/hpi12_trueno4.jpg as for engineering... bleh, engineering is overrated... the VASS who signed off an RB26 in a 180SX I took to him didn't even check to see if the brakes met the requirements for the powerband (are CA18 brakes suffient for an RB26?). Its all about how they feel about your car, there's nothing scientific to it. The only thing they can do is make sure that your car meets ADRs and emissions.
