  1. talk to a compliance workshop that complies R32 skylines. They have ADR clearance/testing data for both coupe and sedan tail lights (sedans are variants on the original docs). This should show factory specification, translucency, colouration and reflectivity. Most of em won't give the info away easily (because they spent hundreds tabulating it, and you could be a competitor) but be nice and they might just give you a copy of that page out of the 100+ page ADR evidence book.
  2. like hektik insane or jus ridecalas insane? nah we're tryin help, but you need to get the right info first.
  3. someone needs to ease up on the zoom blur effect.
  4. oh wait... sorry, I was thinking R32... R33's run electric HICAS usints don't they. Ignore that. Just ask GTRGeoff
  5. could've used scotch, but cordial's more PG I guess. No one likes watered down scotch. Although there is a catch, if the wastegate in your turbo is set to a very low boost at standard then running it with no aftermarket ECU should be safe, it won't be the best, but it'll be safe. I mean, if you had a TD06 25G, and the wastegate was set to 8 PSI (hypothetically speaking of course) then its no different to a standard sized turbo with a wastegate set to 8 PSI, as after it reaches this amount of pressure both turbos will bypass. In fact being a bigger turbo you might find that at lower RPM's the turbo dosen't spool up fast enough to push as much air, and thereby gives you a RICHER mixture. However this is only if your bigger turbo runs an internal wastegate that's set to a close to stock pressure... most aftermarket turbos aren't. Bottom line, your fuel needs to match the air going in, running rich or lean is not optimal... but too lean can be dangerous.
  6. you've lost pressure in your power steering system and most probably lost fluid too. Did you seal off the HICAS lines after you installed the bar?
  7. you can shim your standard GTR shifter and reduce the throw by a few mm.
  8. Prank, even using full rich text editor dosen't work as it strips the tab spaces out and replaces them with a single space. The only way to post up a table is to use HTML, which is disabled on the forum for security reasons.
  9. i've found SQL queries take longer to run (eg splitting a thread) on the new server.
  10. ohhh those tabs... can you use indent tags halfway though a sentence?
  11. we don't need to meet DOT requirements in australia (partially cos we're not attached by the umbilical cord to America's arcane laws) but mostly because we drive on the same side of the road as the Japs and Brits. Are you serious? they're gonna charge you a grand for a pair of shitty ebay Accord headlights and mods that you can do with a bit of silicon remover, pliers, electrical tape and a saw?
  12. http://www.isohunt.com/download/19592977 4 Part comic prequel/background if you wanna read it.
  13. who in the world takes a measurement like that? find out how much wider than standard they are. wider fenders are usually sold as a +30mm, +50mm etc.
  14. where do I buy one of them? I wanty very muchy.
  15. surely not that hard to change the wires around.
  16. here's how I see it... N1's are a myth. Every single real N1 chassis I ahve seen features poverty pack headlights or projector headlights. The reason for this? GTR's came with projector headlights. non GTR's came with non projector headlights and projectors as an option. An N1 GTR is a stripped down race version of the GTR (ie "race spec" brakes, tranny etc, but no creature comforts like stereo)... part of this de-optioning was putting non projector headlights on them. Now in order to fit a GTR grille, you needed a bracket that clipped onto the headlight. So basically you get a bunch of guys who put brackets on poverty pack headlights, and run around saying they've got N1 headlights. When in fact they have the cheap headlights with a $30 bracket.
  17. depends on how much torque/power your engine makes. A lightly modded car should be able to get by with a ceramic heavy duty.
  18. yeah minimum for a brand new heavy duty is $350... at $300 he's probably putting a Nissan Patrol clutch in your car, which is technically heavier duty than your standard one. $100 labour's not bad tho. As for firewall... wtf? unless the flywheel is machined down so much that it gets too light and somehow rips itself off and flys up through your bellhousing and into your firewall. likelyhood 0.00000000000001% find a new mechanic.
  19. widebody R32... rear wheel is Work VS-XX 17"x11" -6 offset. 315/35/17 is a common sized tyre in the US as its the same size corvettes and vipers use. They even make Nitto drags in that size I wish... kakimoto takes 355/something/17's. lol craig almost tore his hair out looking for new tyres... only people that make em are bridgestone and pirelli... special order.
  20. found something close... its a garage yanack bodykitted R32 in england... which I think looks like a 1980's R30 race car... f**kin blast from the past styling. it sorrta looks like this on top: and like this in front: except the grille and the bonnet are moulded together, and the upper lip on the bonnet is smoothed in more.
  21. can you do any deals on 315/35/17's? Sumitomos preferably.
  22. siddr20, post it up on ozhonda... I've sent my mate who's the owner a msg asking him to post up a link to this thread, but you might be better off posting direct maybe.
  23. Contract ad placements is the way ahead... make a portfolio of hits/visitors/target audience and approach a marketing company with a large client base (doesn't have to be australian). Failing that, do a google search for keywords relating to your website (make sure you select australian sites only). Now when the results come up you'll notice a couple of sponsored listings right up the top. Contact these companies directly with your marketing brief and you should get some business. If they're prepared to shell out big bucks on google searches, I'm sure they'll have a little to throw your way.
  24. As long as you don't ask a redneck that thinks that all muslim countries are full of people who run around saying "durkah durkah" you'll find that that's the general sentiment.Avoid palestine, libya, syria, iraq, afghanistan and iran, as those places tend to be a bit volatile depending on who's in power and what mood they're in and the rest of the places are nice places. The best thing about jobs in the middle east is that you can negotiate higher pay and allowances for relocation, accomodation etc. and they're usually willing to pay to get skilled labour on board.
