  1. I've used toll for bringing a car down from regional QLD and another from Sydney, on both occasions to melbourne. I do depot to depot as we have a trade plate that we can put on the car and bring back to the workshop etc. Brissy depot to melb depot (laverton) is about $350. Sydney depot (Greenvale) to melbourne is around $280. Trips TO melbourne are in general cheaper, as they're return trips for trucks that take cars to Sydney/Brisbane. If the car is a non runner its a lot more expensive, and if you need door to door, add $100 to each end for towing by Toll. Call autotrans (their private booking agent) on 1300 660 616. Cars are fully insured... however no unsecured contents allowed inside the vehicles. Quite easy and nice to deal with, and the girls at the laverton depot are the biggest flirts ever. Good lookin too. That said, each time I've needed to take an unregistered car that's reliable to drive to syd, I've just whacked a trade plate on it and driven it... for some reason none of the cars I bring to melbourne are reliable enough to drive over 800km.
  2. been covered before. do a search n00blet.
  3. yeah seen a few now... almost forgot that I actually liked em till I saw one come up on yahoo auctions..
  4. lol yeah... it'll be a cold day in hell before my old man lets me take his ceffy, swap a VH45 and take it to the drag strip
  5. i want a 180sx with a 2005 mustang front. anyone know a 180sx shell goin cheap?
  6. not my car its in NZ... he's on drift nz forums I think.
  7. get a job
  8. only the raws are available atm, so if you want them subbed you'll have to wait till they're done. http://www.datorrents.com/torrents-details.asp?id=22426 http://www.datorrents.com/torrents-details.asp?id=25247
  9. SSR make a whole bunch of wheels, they're a brand of wheel (like Enkei, BBS etc). They make absolute shitheap ones that weight a tonne to brilliant ones that a very purposeful and skilfully made. All depends on what you're after. SSR are the Simmons of Japan, they make interesting wheels, and custom stuff. So your choice really depends on what you're after and opinion of SSR's depend on what specific model you're looking at. If you're after the "omg look at me I'm such a cool drifter, yet I'll never get my arse end out in them for fear of gutter/ripplestrip bashing my rims" then you should get the SSR Professors... preferably in chrome. If you're after the "omg I drive a shitty old corolla, and I paid more for my rims than I did for my car" then get some SSR Longchamps. My old man has SSR Vienna Dish (yes that's the actual name) on his ceffy... its a very VIP style wheel with a whole heap of metal and a very deep shiny lip... cos no 58 year old should be seen in Starcrap Impuls.
  10. get the torrents for it, the quality is much better. good story too... way better than that initial d crap.
  11. actually 2 thirds of the world drive on the right... we're the minority. Also mass motor transport came about in 1900's, many years after they gained independence in the 1770's. And the first dude to make a car was european (french or german... can't remember), so they'd have driven on the right anyways
  12. one of the things to check for is that they've had the factory recall done on them. they have a dodgy suspension arm which can cost $1000 or more to fix, which was addressed by a factory recall. They usually put markings in the engine bay if the recall has been carried out.
  13. you've always had to pay a once off fee, but the new "premium user" scheme is a variant on the old put your credit card in, pay a once off and off you go scheme. Its been around for a couple of months now from memory, definitely not a year. We've got a premium account now, otherwise we couldn't bid on cars I think some high price auctions allow you to still bid on em if you're not a premium user though, if the seller pays extra... not really sure on the details.
  14. R32 GTR came out a few months after the R32 GTS coupes and sedans. All skylines, regardless of generation are based on a passenger car platform. The first skyline ever made was made as a 4 door passenger car. It just *happened* to win a couple of races so they decided to make a coupe in the next model that was developed. To classify as a supercar it has to be a bespoke platform... ie designed from the ground up with only one purpose... to be a supercar, it can't have family car variants etc, which is why an evo, skyline etc aren't supercars. This is why the Z platform is considered the "true" sports car in the Nissan family, whereas the skylines are considered sports sedans... When a true supercar is made, you get to customise everything from the trim of your choice and colour (not just pick one from a bunch that the factory offers) to number of gears and gearing, seat shape etc. Basically handmade for custom one off order. The closest things to japanese supercars are NSX's, GTO's and 300ZX's (all 3 of which were coincidentally sold worldwide, including australia and america).
  15. well found out today that I have two packages that have been sitting at my local post office for the last week or so. got someone at home to go down and get em for me. I'm guessing that they're your stuff, and for some reason they've come back to me. Will have to send them out again if they are.
  16. oh yeah, forgot about the aussie ones.
  17. drop your wheel and take some better pics of it. also check from the top of the strut if there's any notches etc where you can adjust the dampening. nismo sells stiffer aftermarket springs to sit on stock struts too, so could just be stock struts with springs.
  18. haha... got any Pantera? lol I'm jus givin you shit, the vids are good. I did spill my coffee though.
  19. Just to add as this is something I've done recently... Shipping to melbnourne from the Toll depot in Greenvale to Laverton in melbourne is about $280. Fully insured thru Toll Logistics, who're one of the most reliable bunch around. Altho Troy... roadtrip?
  20. yes it is. the others are being nice and not telling you the truth so they don't hurt your feelings. its gay. at first I thought it was emo garbage... then when the beat kicked in it became gay.
  21. R32 antennae are integrated into the windscreen (passenger side, looks like a very thin silver line), which is why they're a lot more expensive to replace. If you ever see one with an telescopic antenna, it means the windscreen's been replaced with a non genuine nissan one.
  22. togue isn't exactly the best measure of a good car, nor is an american tuned R34... I've got more fingers than they have R34 GTR's Most car shows talk about stock for stock based on performance, looks, power, and circuit times when it comes to sports cars.
  23. lol that one of those vids has some real ghey song as a soundtrack... caught me off guard... some coffee I was drinking went up my nose.
  24. name of show? I thought the NSX was japan's greatest sportscar?
