  1. I'll try to add an option in the user CP to override the scaling mod. Defaults to "on", but you can choose to turn it off. I'm not a fan of scaled pics and am forever cursing the forum for shrinking pics. By default it should work out what res you are running at and then take a few preset pixels off each side and scale to a maximum of that. That way if your window isnt maximised and the pic is out of frame, it should sit neatly inside the window when maximised.
  2. this was one of the things I wanted to implement for a while... just for youtube vids though... opening it to mp3 and other embeddable media just means making the system less secure.
  3. well i've disabled it for everyone but guests, validating users and banned users. so we should be all ad free if we are members. although the settings seem to have been edited to show only admins the ads. maybe prank was playing around with it, maybe those were the defaults once installed. anywho, turned them off for members, if that's not the way its supposed to be then let me know.
  4. yeah be careful with secondhand helmets, if they've been in a crash before they could very well do more damage than help. that said if you're just doin L2NS stuff then you should be able to get away with a second, as there's no real risk to your noggin. lots of bike stores sell cheap helmets these days anyways... just get one with the right ISO standards tick. Should cost you maybe $100 max.
  5. both firefox and IE show them... interesting. will investigate. ash, you're always the boy that cries wolf3d
  6. I did the linoleum technique on the interior of the AE86... came out quite good. I wasn't going for a gloss finish... just a matt black. Sold the car before I could do the exterior. I'd never do it on a car I cared about.... but a shitbox that you experiment on, knock yourself out. If you f**k up, put a sticker over it
  7. hmmm... as a pleb user I can see google ads too. buggar!
  8. let me logon as my test user and see if I can still see it.

There's also an FD RX7 wagon made by RE Amimaya.
  11. might be a busted relay
  12. anything with an LS1 (yes I know, blasphemy, but face facts, they're a lightweight powerful engine) V35 350GT... which is basically a Z33 with better suspension and handling. Honda S2000 Honda Civic Type R Lotus Elise Anything that sports the new Hemi engine, ie 300C or Jeep Don't know if an M3 would make it under the 40K mark, but that too.
  13. older R32's have push, newer ones have pull.
  14. you should only be able to see it if you're an admin... and maybe if you're a mod.
  15. I love the Golf GTI's, apparently they're more fuel economic than a Toyota Prius with more poke to boot. When my gf was shopping for a car, it was either this or the Mazda 3 MPS, and she ended up choosing the Mazda because she thought it looked better. Bah humbug. Good buy, love the interior and look.
  16. I drew mine about... uhh six years ago... been my avatar since. lost the sheet of paper I did it on though.

  18. In very simple terms (there's a lot more to it, but the main bit is that) in an R32's transfer case, the front shaft is totally disengaged when the circuit is broken (ie, switch or fused pulled out). Wheras in an R33 or Stagea the front drive shaft still remains partially engaged. This is one of the reasons why the AWD in the latter is more responsive (less time taken to engage), but it also means that you can't simply switch it off.
  19. Yeah it was Night Pager that had the feature in Option OX Motorsports also makes a Paddleshifter for Auto Skylines and Stageas http://www.oxmotorsports.co.jp/7_43.html Here's the Option mag DIY... I'll see if I can scan up the article http://www.jdm-option.com/opchan/07_03/nig...shifter_01.html
  20. buy the equivalent part off a G35 from the US. Shipping is a bit steep, but there's plenty of spare parts retailers where you can order online over there. Plus it's in english.
  21. Just found out the clutch I'll be getting is a TS2BD. Got some pics, will upload soon. This is what it looks like: http://www.osgiken.co.jp/pro_clutch/clutch/ts2bd.html
  22. I had this on my GTS. Fujitsubo stainless steel mandrel bent extractors, to high flow cat, to black widow resonator, to fujitsubo muffler. It only gives you a very minimal increase in power, but the response improvement is noticeable, as is the pitch of the exhaust note. Makes it sound very meaty.
  23. Hey guys. I've got an S14 for sale which is hot pink. Before you pull out the "omgwtfhotpink?" posts, I purchased this car for use as a track car, so the colour would have been changed anyway. I bought it with intentions to strip it and then rebuild it from the ground up (welded in cage etc) but the car is much too complete to do that to, and I'd rather have the cash atm than start working on a car. A little info about the car: The whole car has been stripped and then painted hot pink, so the entire chassis is the same colour. The paint looks red in the dark, but in sunlight looks like a purpley pink... very heavy pearl. The removable panels on the car are all factory maroon (ie: boot, bonnet, doors, front bumper, rear bumper, wing). Car has an SR20DET, and an auto gearbox. Healthy engine and transmission. Starts and runs on the first go every time, idles normally, and has been recently serviced with fresh oil, filters etc. There is a slight wheel bearing noise from the front driver side, which requires the hub to be replaced. I can organise this to be done prior to delivery of the car for an additional cost of $150. I believe the car was bought from auction by the previous owner as a financial writeoff. He then sold it to me after completing the repairs necessary. Car is not currently registered. Car has REVS history and will need to have a VIV inspection prior to registration. I'll post up some pics tomorrow as I don't have any pics of it atm, and its a little dirty so I'll take some pics after I've washed it. Asking $6000 for it ono. As it starts and runs can be transported interstate cheaply... however this will be at your cost. Free delivery if you're in the Melbourne metro area. I will be ebaying it shortly, so get in before it goes for auction.
  24. the best thing about the car is not the visuals... but that sweet... sweet trumpetting sound that reminds you that the gates of hell are only a blip of the throttle away.
  25. hmm melb to ballarat is usually 2 or 3 days with regular post. can you give it a couple more days?
