  1. HyperRev catalogs are like a bigass parts catalogue for the specific model of car. We use em at work to identify parts on cars we buy, and also they're a great way to find prices of items quickly and contact details of specialist stores. Option and Option2 are sorta like car mags with new product reviews, DIY guides, tuner cars... Option is sorta like Wheels, and Option2 is sorta like HPI... just... umm better. Drift Heaven (DoriTen) is probably best described as the Japanese Driftbattle magazine... just... ummm better (notice a trend) Club Skyline is a magazine that deals specifically with Skylines (GTR's, oldschool and family variants). Its only up to issue 21, its been running for a couple of years now. Its got great coverage on the newest stuff for Skylines, club meetings in japan, and other funky stuff. There's also VIPCar, which deals with Celsior's, Aristo's, Crown's, President's, Q45's, Gloria's etc in all manner of VIP-ness (and some euro barges). Only problem is that they're all in Japanese, so you've gotta have japanese coworkers that you can bug every 5 mins to ask em what something says, or be able to read it yourself (or have a japanese partner).
  2. hopefully I'll be at Geoff's tonight in Mill Park... otherwise I'm in Glenny most of the time. I'll be heading out to Driftline either tomorrow or day after, if you want me to leave yours there for you to pick up (although no gurantees that it won't have grease marks on it from all the guys there oogling over it).
  3. $40 each (plus shipping if you couldn't pick it up from me) just finished flicking thru the Nov Option2 mag... and got my complimentary SnapOn gloves oh BTW happy birthday turdy

  12. RB20E eeeeeeew although for shits and giggles I have a Holden RB30E rocker cover that'll fit onto it straight on... and then you'll have a HOLDEN powered CEFIRO! That'll impress the nihonjin
  13. WE ARE MEETING HEREon the 5th of November 2006 at about 10am. Bring $10 for breakfast and coffee. That is all. See you!
  14. It smells like optimax and tastes like regular petrol. I found shit-f**k-all difference between it and the old optimax in my r32... dad's aristoid got 20km's more, but I'm guessing that's coz he didn't give the 2JZ enough curry. I prefer the BP Ultimate.
  15. the guys we buy cars for in UK usually have a higher budget than the average aussie customer, mainly due to their more favourable exchange rate with the yen... we just bought a R33 280TypeMR for about 1.3 million yen for a guy in the UK... most of the cars we've sent to the UK have been either built drifters/track cars or rare models or GTRs. then again I think I know of at least 150 kids under the age of 20 with R33 GTSt's in melbourne alone. and from memory SAU VIC has abour 260 paid memebrs. I reckon an east coast australian skyline meet would be of great force and magnitude if everyone pulled a finger out and showed up.
  16. try a program like jasc animation studio or GIF construction kit... they both have wizards that will let you create a gif using the images you already have.
  17. pssssst.... motorkhana days with WRX club
  18. no delays on the other units, I'd rather just do it all in one order if that's OK with you guys (esp coz then I won't have to mail out two things to some of you).
  19. 9:34 AM - cleared customs in sydney. should be in melbourne tomorrow
  20. for sure... but its the bad ones that ruin it for the rest. check out www.raws.org.au its a organisation for RAWS workshops, the ones that are members of this body are one's I'd deal with any day because they're by the book and can be trusted.
  21. first batch got shipped today from tokyo at 11:20 AM by DHL... w00t... our porn should be here soon! those of you guys in melbourne that missed out (foznice, babia and ula) I'll get your ones in a second batch which I'll do for the guys in other states.
  22. sure mate, can do any japycar part... just give me a jaycar ID and I'll give you a price. BTW... recieved payment from ducki, ongsta and shoei... so everyone's paid up, and order has been made. Bad news is there's a delay on the EBC's... should be available mid this week. Sorry guys.
  23. Bollocks, I've seen some compliance companies buy absolute rubbish cars with accident damage beacuse they can comply em on the sly and get away with it... (give engineer a bottle of scotch, turn him around 6 times and suddenly you've got a signature on the compliance paperwork).... then they turn it around and sell it to clients as totally pristine cars. Also most compliance workshops use japanese agents to buy cars from... just like everyone else.
  24. You have 1 year from import date to comply it... if not then it goes on the DOTARS/customs "to be re-exported or crushed" list. And if sept was the final days, then I think its now on that list. Just make sure it stays as a track pig and you should be fine. Pretty good for a drifter.
  25. Nice Gazelle... how do you find the weight of the RB in a smallish car though? And how come you didn't go with a more traditional CA18DET (or even SR20DET) swap? Feels a lil wierd seeing the steering wheel on the wrong side of an RB Still... nice work and nice pics! Welcome to SAU. Oh and in one of the stickers... shouldn't the WWW and ORG be swapped around?
