  4. and in my sig I think we did have a couple of 180sx's for 15k landed n complied... mind you they were 1996 models which hadn't been drifted/thrashed to an inch of their life and hence ineligible to be imported under SEVS (the only way you can import a 180sx these days).
  5. I think most people wouldn't dare call her just in case it was a prank by some bored military brats or english teachers. Then there's the ones who have nothing to lose...
  6. if you want VIP, buy a JZS147 Aristo... end of story... cheapest, coolest import atm. You can get the 2JZTT and make it a sleeper/cruiser, or buy a 2JZ N/A or 1UZ V8 and make it fully pimped (as a bonus the 1UZ models come with airbag suspension so you can drop it like its hot). Under 20k easily for a late 1996 model. There is no alternative... except maybe a Chaser or a Mark II.
  7. will definitely be goin ahead with the sheer number of mags requested (might even have to do 2 batches). I haven't had time to sit down and translate all the japanese summaries... but I'll see if I can find a link to an english website that lists the various issues. http://www.drifting.com/HyperREV_Magazine.php This one's the best description I can find (has pics of the contents etc). Its basically just a very comprehensive parts catalogue. And they have some features on tuning house demo cars etc. and most often some facts and figures on the cars (eg GTR one has all the factory specs etc for the different models).
  8. Just confirming that I've recieved payment from aaron_whittle and Hootchy. Still waiting on the others. Should come through soon, usually takes 48 hours at most.
  9. gimme... I'll see if I can convince her to go black.
  10. well if all goes to plan they'll be eligible for import in the next year That, and the Gloria/Cedric/Cima combo from Nissan... unfortunately none of these cars appeal to the common buyer in australia because they're not "locally sold"... but if you compare em to the garbage thats sold locally they're leagues ahead. Shame really.
  11. that dosen't seem right... the original VIN will be on a blue plate in the engine bay usually looks like "ECR33-123456".
  12. wouldn't really consider a R33 suitable for VIP treatment... but any Wald, Insurance, Final Konnexion, or Diana kit (that's listed from most expensive to least expensive) from japan should give you a junior-pimp look. You want skins for your doors, so that they sit flush with the sideskirts, and bumpers and sideskirts that go straight down instead of on angles like the drift look vertex knockoff ones.
  13. well in the end I actually ended up getting the US 791XV off ebay. Ironically one of the tech's for DEI Oz installed it for me... hehe... we found that the Bitwriter for the Aussie ECU's don't work with the US unit... so basically had to get a different EEPROM for the Bitwriter so it could communicate with the unit, other than that it works identically to the Aussie one. So far it works real well. Took out the turbo timer and now use the alarm as one... hardly ever need it as I don't drive it in anger shortly before I have to stop the car. Remote start works great... had to get a slave actuator for the driver door on the R32, that was the only issue as far as installation was concerned. It dosen't come with a battery backup siren, so had to get one as well. My only complaints are that the remote is a chunky mofo, esp cos it houses a AAA battery. Apparently the first version of this alarm drained the batteries real quick, but the current ones are more efficient. Also the alarm comes with only one remote, but my mates are hookin me up with a non LCD (ie 1way) secondary remote... just in case I happen to lock my 2way one in the car If it f**ks up, then I'll just buy another alarm. At AUD$250 delivered its an experiment I'm willing to try out. As for coloured harness wiring etc, the only reason the alarm's there is to act as a deterrant. I also have a kill switch and a secondary immobiliser which we custom wired in, so its not gonna get stolen in a hurry just by messing with the alarm unit. What my mates were tellin me was that most of the times the alarms fail due to bad installations... if they're done properly then they shouldn't fail in the next couple of years, and I don't really plan to have my car or my alarm any longer than that
  14. > The cheetah's look like BBS copies... and makes em look like they're a blast from the past The octane has a inner lip with bolts, makes the rim look like a more expensive 3 piece, and looks nice in black. But any black centred rim on a yellow car looks hot.
  15. gotta take the guards off from memory... well i did with mine (mind you we had to take the guards off anyways)... otherwise you run the risk of scratching the paint as you undo the bolts. I've got a saggy door as well due to my door pin being buggered up by the guys who did the side intrusion bars in my R32 (they took the door off to weld it in). I'll fix it one day... sometime...
  16. Another quick reminder, if you need the items shipped to you, please PM me a mailing address.
  17. PM's with payment details and totals sent to: TurboX aaron_whittle shoei ducki blindsay Mr Void Hootchy and Blitz_boy Just to clarify, please allow the extra postage amount on top of the total I gave you if you want me to send them out to you by mail.
  18. lol wtf? check out her images directory... she clearly believes in condoms
  19. well I've played the jap version (on a mates japanese Xbox 360) and it rocked... if the english version is identical with english text, then I think I've found my reason to go out and buy and Xbox 360 too. Gonna have to test it at EB or something... Only concern is if they got the licensing rights to use all the cars that the jap one has.
  20. agreed. the only thing a 6 speed gearbox in the S15 is good for is as a coffee table base. For the money you pay to import an S15 you can import an early R33 GTR or an Evo 7 at auctions, both very very good cars and leagues ahead of an S15. If you want a cheap track car, you can't go past an R33 GTSt, you can get a 1993/1994 manual landed and complied for under 10k... throw another $500 into it and you've got yourself a fully registered car, then just use your leftover money to mod it. If the engine or turbo blows, parts are cheap as chips... or rebuild the engine to an RB30DET, whatever, you have so many options. Screw sinking money into a clapped out R32 or S13 from the Jurassic Era. If you must buy a silvia, buy a locally sold S14 or S14a, awesome transmissions, good SR20's which respond well to mods and handle well. If you're buying a track car, you shouldn't care what it looks like, so who cares if it looks wierd compared to an S15 etc.
  21. Get the VIN number and I can do a background check and tell you exactly how much it cost em, so you have a starting point to haggle on.
  22. shouldn't be a problem. ATM I only have a request for 2 DFA's and it makes no difference to the price of the group buy if there's 1 or 2 in the order.
  23. \(^-^)/ BAHAHHAHA... slow day in japan L?
  24. if I had to choose one from that list, I'd go the Lite-7, but they only come in Honda/ghey sizes. The only decent looking one that's in an 8.5" that'll sit nice on a skyline is the Cheetah, Octane and the Spyder Gold. I'd personally go the Octane in a 18x8.5 as 19's and 20's look wierd on an R32 proportion wise. Cross 5 looks silly. Too much chrome, not enough style... its a chunky rim that's trying to look sporty.
