  1. yeah... we're sorta lucky we don't drive on the wrong side of the road like the americans and our local manufacturers don't have a vicegrip on the nuts of governmental policy. That's why I worry when we start making free trade agreements with Bush's regiment and they start introducing bullshit restrictions on us. You can buy an R32 GTR and have it on the road for about USD 10k these days... and an R33 GTR for about USD 20k... instead of messing around with silvias. We got it good over here.
  2. I want one so I can put it on my head. "look maw... i pierced my skull"
  3. THe guy who's doin the conversion I was talkin about is Geoff Raicer, he's from AZ or NJ. Works for Full Race Motorsports (www.full-race.com). They sucessfully fitted the full R32 GTR front subframe onto the S14 a couple of months ago. Maybe contact them for more details? Geoff's email is geoff (AT) full-race.com some build pics:
  4. I want a La Seyde based on an S15 chassis. extended wheelbase FTW. altho I'd be so tempted to stand on the side sill ghostrider style with a tommy gun on one arm and a cigar hanging out the side of my mouth.
  5. things happen at 1/2 pace here on SAU... lol hang on while we sort out SAU first Atm, its just looking like a front end for this section, so the forums itself will remain unmodified (same mods etc) but with a nicer front page when you go to www.cefirosaustralia.com Since its only A31's, C32's and Y32's atm (unless you guys wanna include FWD maxima drivers with A32's and A33's) its quite limited on what we can put on the front page. If you guys can brainstorm on what you'd like to see on a sorta front page (like the one you get when you go to SAU's front page) then we can get started on implementing it, and then getting a couple of you guys to update/maintain it regularly.
  6. anth, this engine just sounds like an extra hassle to have to deal with. go stock R32 RB20 or R33 RB25DET, get it done easily and quickly and drive the car. Your car has been on the hoist long enuff.
  7. wtf is Hilarious Motorsport?
  8. a really nice reddy bronze metallic flake on top of the black might give you that "black cherry" look... altho that's typically done with black flakes on a cherry red.
  9. time to bring out my ban stick
  10. driving a car on its roof. clearly a defectable item.
  11. would be eligible for SEVS but it's the convincing a compliance workshop to apply for em only to sell a couple part that is difficult. far easier to bring in the 15 yr old ones. I love the pre 1988 2 door leopards they're cool... and they have VG20ET engines you can turf that and stick a VG30DETT in there pretty easily. From memory the gloria is eligible under SEVS, and the newer leopard uses a different body on the same chassis (like the Mark II and Chasers do) so no reason why a compliance workshop can't apply for one as a variant... that is if you can find a compliancer who does Gloria/Cedrics.
  12. Going by the absolutely awesome looking honda oddesey bodykits in japan, i reckon this design will yeild itself to some wicked junior pimp styling. Still. at the end of the day its a civic.
  13. Move to canada EH? they have 15 year old rustbucket R32's running around cheap as chips. Not exactly V-Specs, but if you live in the US you can't be picky. Are you on ZT forums? a bloke in the US recently posted some build pics of his S14 where they had just put the front driveshafts and linkages on an S14 off an R32 GTR. If its not you, and you aren't on ZT, then I'll see if I can find the pics for you.
  14. stick a taxi sign on the top and you'll blend in with the rest of em
  15. anth... jam an RB25 in it already man. rosh has like 11ty billion lying around. don't be tight. then jam my TD0625G on it and you're laughing
  16. i take it that it wasn't you then why do I always assume you're at the root of all mishaps that happen to R34 GTt's?
  17. anth u pewf... is your car in sydney or are you in melbourne?
  18. reverse engineering forum software while trying not to break the forum takes a little bit more thinking than changing avatars Will give it another stab tonight. If it dosen't work, I'll just make it change all emails sent by the server to "dezz is ghey".
  19. no no, that was in reference to ebola... he seems to be checking his email using a unix file structure don't worry... unix joke.
  20. they're on their toightest setting, and still spongy. so its time for a reco/turf'n'buy. Just trying to weigh up the options. Whiteline seems to sell the rears for $160 a pair (or is it each). They're the same as a silvia, so shouldn't be a hassle to find. The fronts are a lot more expensive from the looks of it... I've noticed its mostly spongy at the back (weight of the engine might be affecting the front from being spongy) so could I get away with changing just the back ones?
  21. 80A from memory. My experiences with my dad's ceffy, which has an RB20DET as well. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=133576
  22. The red one's a NICS engine and the silver one's a Plazma engine from memory. Altho the series 1 cefiro's had silver top NICS engines (fun fun fun) They use different AFMs, alternators and ECU plugs, but its not that hard to modify em to work with the silvertop ancillaries.
