  2. there's a company in melbourne that does the entire thing for around $170 for plush, in any colour you want out of their range.
  3. Hmm I guess having been arrested dosen't help.
  4. mitsubishi colt gheyvolution turbo with chromies FTW. 1.5L turbo with a 5 year warranty.
  5. i used a set of long nose pliers to take the clips off... but mine had some double sided tape on em as well, so had to use a blade to get that off.
  6. they've got lots of guys and girls in the UK. They're easier to find than guys in Australia... at least they don't have kangaroos over there to confuse the issue. Hehe Your best bet would be to take it to a tuning house like Apexi or Signal which now have pretty strong ties in the US with local workshops, and have them come up with a tried n tested method of getting what you want for the purpose you want.
  7. at the police impound yard from what I heard.
  8. cover all electricals... then give it a fine spray of this stuff called "shift it" which you can get from most auto shops like homobarn and crapco. Make sure you don't get it on your paint as it sorta eats into clearcoats. leave it on there for a couple of minutes then douse the f**ker with a highpressure water hose. make sure you wash off excess etc. goes from filthy to clean in minutes.
  9. track down the guys in the UK that bought this thru us... ask them for a list of parts. Replicate. Done. summary: http://www.j-spec.com.au/list/3899 pics: http://www.j-specimports.ca/pics/3899
  10. cooooooooool i was born on the same day as frank sinatra
  11. get a rotary engine. they're pretty rev happy.
  12. date? I might be interested in a cruise
  13. I might as well come and represent Vic. pmizzle me my main nizzle for the deposizzle dizzle. I cbf with public transport tho... might bring teh mighty ceffy along if anyone needs a lift from parramatta/dundas area. Altho boozing with you monkeys would be quite fun. Gah... what to do... what to do.
  14. My RB20DET with the 2530 seemed to leave you with a smile on your face. RB20 POWAH!
  15. prices start at $500 and go upwards from that. Plus you might need to carry out structural strength/vulnerability testing, collision simulations etc. Then there's the fact that the FMIC can alter emissions, and for that you need an EPA engineers cert... and that's big bucks
  16. i didn't change shit.... that was teh eveel baron's handiwork. besides... i'd rather be in love with corrine than with you.
  17. Hold up a sec... you bought this car on the 4th of August and its already here and being complianced? Is this it?
  18. noice one rezzeh... car looks good. very JDM tyte y0. screw the EVO VII, get an Evo IX Wagon (yes I know they're a totally different price... but how cool are they?) mmm waaaagon.... do it... do it!
  19. you can buy some fandangly bov's from turbosmart that go from atmo to plumbback at the twist of a knob... altho the cops/epa couldn't give a shit if its at plumb back they'll still defect you for it. also keep in mind atmo bov's are more prone to make your car stall.
  20. chinny u gone cukoo
  21. when i took my ceffy in to reg it in NSW (having been complianced in VIC) with all the right paperwork, I was told to go see a engineer on the list they had, and he told me I needed to change my seatbelts, even though the car already had been registered in another state and had registration history for over a year.
  22. ouch... that's a bit sad... was such a nice car... will be missed at DECA. maybe its a sign... time to step up.
  23. 15 yr old imports aren't regulated on a national level like the SEVS scheme, so the rules are pretty adhoc and at the discretion of the registry/workshop. Even the rules for compliance vary between states and engineers... eg in VIC you don't need to change the seatbelts, you can retain 15 yr old japanese rubbish, wheras in NSW you have to turf em and get the ugly taxi buckles.
  24. i'd tend to believe in this day and age a matter of financial figures, who can offer what and for how much, and then the contract is awarded to that group. Even though Renault and Nissan share finances, their departments may still operate as totally seperate entities.
  25. I always qualify shit I'm not sure by "I think"...I think you suck teh wang. I dunno why, I was never a big fan of the Z Tunes, so a somewhat lack of attention to detail. I'm surprised Nismo didn't prebuy the GTRs before releasing the model. Coz if I lived in japan and owned a car that Nismo WANTED... I'd be asking a small fortune for it. f**k em... I want a piece of the pie too.
