  1. can i trade in the square SAU stickers for the rectangular ones? failing that can whoever has em bring a couple to the next general meeting so i can buy em?
  2. Have a good one Justine. Will join you guys for the festivities at Deca.
  3. GTSt control arms are different to GTR and GTS4 ones. Different mounting points and shape. You can use an R32 GTR one though as they are the same.
  4. mmm cans. i wonder who invented the can?
  5. i'm using firefox and i can see the thumbnails fine too... altho my head's all dizzy n shit from standing upside down trying to look at those pics... fkn angle monkeys!
  6. mmm stop motion videos...
  7. Used to have a Impul full metal one in my old car, and i swore I'd never use one ever again... its so cold to touch in winter and farken hot in summer. Do yourself a favour and get a leather covered one, your hands will thank you in the long run. my personal favs are the stock R34 GTR one and stock 350z ones. Both are a nice mix of alloy and leather bits where you grip it.
  8. hey nige, have you got the grille to go with the bonnet? pics to [email protected] please
  9. R32 GTS4's have different gearing to GTR's and a slightly different final drive ratio. Some GTR's that compete in drags sometimes swap down to GTS4 gearboxes to get better ratios, and I've seen modded GTS4's with GTR gearboxes, although half the time people put an RB26 in there too. Dunno about the RB25, the R33 GTS4 is an N/A so that's pointless. Only ones that came in turbo RB25 and AWD were stageas, cedrics, glorias and laurels... and people convert them using R33 GTR gearboxes (check the stagea section for more info).
  10. thanks for coming... warnings issued to rami and Busky2k. Unfortunately "we give a shit" about street racing. Its against the forum rules, and it is illegal. If you want to dicuss that sorta stuff take it to another forum that allows it. Thread locked.
  11. car 4 are the vertex demo cars (coupe and sedan), so the full kit is original vertex. 2 and 3 look like BN sports copies... could be made any one of the 11ty billion companies that now have a mould of them. The vertex style and BN style are quite possibly the most whored kit for an R32 ever. #1 is too dark to see, but it looks like a combination vertex style rear and sides with an R32 GTR style front. Bonnet looks like a generic drop vent that's also copied by numerous makers.
  12. They don't come in a manual version, but we are finding a few that have been converted. Because its not a factory option, each manual that we come across HAVE to be thoroughly inspected, to check if the quality of the conversion is done professionally using factory parts etc, or a hack n slash kinda job. Once the inspection is done, the photos and report are sent to the compliancer who will carry out compliance on the car... only if they agree to comply the car do we go ahead with the purchase. Basically its a bit of a headache... it'd be so much more hassle free if the conversion was done locally after the car was complied n registered.
  13. I'd go the aristo myself. The office at j-spec is divided on the issue half of us want twin turbo sedans, the other half want legnums or galants... and one monkey in the office wants a V8 aristo with AWD... although... I'd be getting the AWD V8 aristo, takin out the V8 engine and puttin in the 2jz oooo yeah! giggety giggety!
  14. hehe didn't think so i might try some wreckers to see what they have.
  15. lol i'm inbetween states atm, currently in melb tho... will be in syd by the end of the month was thinkin of spending maybe $100 all up on the side skirts and rear pods... as they're not really essential items, and I'm only after throwaway gear. Funny bit is that I actually had black sideskirts and rear pods off my GTS when I fitted the vertex kit... and I gave em away. Now I need em... just my luck.
  16. Hey guys, just looking for a pair of sideskirts and rear pods or rear bumper skirt to go on my R32 temporarily. Can't justify spending big bucks on it, so if you've got any factory ones sitting in the garage after you've fitted your bodykit etc then I'd be happy to take em off your hands for a small amount. Would be awesome if they're black (paintcode 738 I think) but not really fussed. Anything that fits a narrowbody R32 (ie GXi, GTE, GTS, GTSt, GTS25, GTS4). Also preferable if it was in Melbourne for pickup. Might also be able to pick up from Sydney, but Melbourne preferred.
  17. yeah i've noticed that as well before... but I assumed one of the other admins fixed it. haven't looked at permissions in the last few months. I'll have a look when time permits.
  18. no one should be able to delete their posts other than moderators and admins. i'll have a look through the permissions and make sure that regular users don't have this feature, as it just opens up the system to abuse... like post stupid shit, then go back and delete it so that whoever replies to it looks silly... or delete previous posts so that they can "own pages" with the first post.
  19. Not AR2 is it? Active Red.
  20. you shouldn't subscribe to the whoretown threads drunkan
  21. spend the extra 100 bucks and avoid having a gap about 1cm wide in front of your headlights as you try and flex the wider GTR bumper onto the narrower GTS bumper support. Plus you can then mount an FMIC without cutting the support, and its legal.
  22. F50 Cima is the car I'd be comparing to a VE... VK45DD makes 209kw hmm actually.. the F50 cima would be the statesman equivalent, and the Y50 Fuga would be the regular commodore
  23. because they sit in different brackets, are of different dimensions and mount up to different guards. ie. they're not the same. GTR indicators have a single piece moulded plastic cover, this was only available in orange from factory. Aftermarket clear ones are simply a clear version of this cover. GTSt indicators were initially sold in clear with an orange bubble (ie a 2 piece cover), then in the second series R32, both pieces were made orange, so that they looked like the GTR ones. You can buy aftermarket ones that have both pieces clear, or buy a series 1 indicator and smash out the orange inside part and make yourself a clear indicator on the cheap... although the small bubble will still be orange.
  24. officeworks is your friend. grab a reasonably high resolution photo, touch it up, and then put it on CD, take it down there and get em to do a colour print on a nice A3 photopaper. I've done a few prints this way and they come out looking good, esp if they have glass over them. They charge $5 for printing from the CD and $4 per print or something like that.
