We run Pirelli P-Zero's. $800 a pop AFAIK there's R32 and R33 kaki widebody kits, but not R34 from memory.

15 year old import = no need to install side repeater SEVS/CPA scheme compliance = need to install side repeater depending on engineering data used to get compliance. the reason for this is when the GTR was sold locally as an amalgamation model, it was deemed that at one point on the side you couldn't see the front or rear indicators, creating a blind spot, so a repeater was installed. So it is required of subsequent skylines complianced under SEVS or CPA that they match the original GTR's (hence why they also snip the wires to the inside tail lights). But then it seems only SOME compliancers used this data, others used engineering data that proved that side repeaters weren't required. So to be pulled up for having no side indicators require the issuing officer to have a firm grasp on compliance rules and know how to identify a 15year old import from a SEVS car, and also what engineering data was used by the compliancer. In short, piss em off.

how long are you prepared to wait? I have one on mine, and I'll be changing bodykits in about 2 months. Its fibreglass, but so are all GTR style front bumpers that fit GTSt's. Original GTR bumpers have a nasty flex on em which leave gaping holes neat the headlights. Also has N1 ducts. Has a small paint fade (10c piece size) in front of the driver side headlight. pic of car with bumper on (funnily enough a black GTS4 as well):

You people make me sick. There's peadophilia, impotency, beastiality and incest rife in the stagea community.... and this thread is proof. -

I'll take a set for an R32 GTSt in black with red double stitching (think that's standard)... plus the extra material for the door and other bits n pieces (might be extra, but put me down for it). -
from http://www.towbarfactory.co.nz NISSAN CEFIRO 1990 to 1994 SEDAN Vehicle Chassis No: A31 Towbar Serial No: 175 TB Code: NIA31 Tow Weight (Non-Braked): 500 Tow Weight (Braked): 1500 might be an avenue.

Well now that I don't have access to Victorian tradeplates, I can't slap it on the ae86 to drive it to track days n shit, so I need to tow the fcuker around... I can either molest the R32 or the A31, and being a family car the ceffy's gonna get the chop. Plus sometime down the track the widebody kit's goin on the R32 (eventually... lol) so I don't really want to have to chop it up to accomodate a towbar. As the 86's a light rusty POS, it'd be a max of 1200kg (allowing 1000kg for the car and wheels and 200kg for the trailer). Can a RWD cef handle towing something like this? Does anyone have a towbar on their cef? if so can you post some pics of the bar and where it mounts on the chassis? Also places where you can get em done, prefabbed kits if you know of any and costs if possible.

meh, I have a nissan engine in my toyota... it goes better than it would with a toyota engine. plus it makes all the ae86 fanboys blow chunks (apparently its sacreligious or some shit), which is pretty amusing. One of these days I'll get a 1m square size sticker that says "CA18DET inside" on my bonnet.

Sau Vic Award Winning Car Up For Sale Now
funkymonkey replied to funkymonkey's topic in General Automotive Discussion
aforementioned turning sign... -
After having won such prestigious awards like "Best Non-Line" at the SAU VIC show and Shine, the J-Spec Widebody Lexus LS400 is up for sale. True, its very good at macking the bitches (we've had phone numbers given to us by soccer mums while driving around in it... really wierd... don't ask) but a new demo car is in the wings and its time to let the old bird go. I'll even include the "Do not overtake turning vehicles" signs I put on the rear bumper from time to time to the winnar. The best way to describe it as one of its appreciators at a car show put it is "DAAAYUM! That's a big bitch!" Without further ado... the auction: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Lexus-LS400-C-Type-...emZ290002511691 This thread's not really a "for sale" ad (coz I know none of you guys are nuts enough to wanna try and drive this on the road)... but I'd like to hear what comment you guys have on the car.

Vic Numberplates: I R Smrt - $395
funkymonkey replied to funkymonkey's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Come on fellas... at least this plate is somewhat remotely clever, as opposed to stuff like "BLUR34" and "REDR33" which states the bleeding obvious unless you had a severe colourblindness and shape recognition problem. -
Installing Lsds On My S1...
funkymonkey replied to qikstagea's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
suicide the rear doors instead... lambo doors on sedans look like arse with a pinch of smelly feet. -
RB engines make the frontend of the ceffy very nose heavy... plonk an SR in there and you'll have an awesome balance. SR's have plenty of aftermarket support so bolt ons are plenty. They're pretty robust engines too, just that they struggle to make huge power without oodles of cash put into them, compared to an RB25. So if you're after moderate power and good balance go the SR, if you're building a dyno beast then go the RB25. Both deliver power fairly well from low RPM to high RPM.

Hi guys, I recently recieved this numberplate as a gift, as a result of me suggesting to a friend that it'd be a novel numberplate. Its derived from a combination of I.R. Baboon from the cartoon "I Am Weasel" and Homer's "I am so smart, I am so smart, S-M-R-T... I mean S-M-A-R-T!" from the Simpsons. + = I R SMRT As much amusement as I get from these plates, its slightly wasted on my car... I'm hoping one of you guys will want something this novel. I'm open to offers on the plates, although I'd want to get at least the cost of the plates, so that I can get something else of equally comic value. The plates haven't been attached to any cars, they are still in the packaging, they are slimline, with white writing on black (which should fit in with the general trimming of Smart cars I think). They aren't registered to a car either, so its a simple matter of transferring ownership of the plates. If you have any questions or offers, please post in this thread, or email me at [email protected]

ummm here's the link to the pics from the inspection that we did: http://www.j-spec.com.au/clients/1097 can't seem to find the report... I'll ask one of the other guys in the office if we've still got a copy. Oh and the pic I've attached is what I think you're car looked like before the blue makeover.

you can save money by buying a 1988 manual RB20DET ceffy, or better yet, one that already has everything you want already done. We've got some for a couple of guys now... relatively cheap too, by avoiding auctions and yahoo, and instead buying from wholesale yards and dealerships in japan. You're spot on with customer costs. Even with a dirt cheap car the taxes n fees start adding up. If you get a RB20DET cef, RB20DET -> RB25DET conversion is so easy... plus you have better brakes and suspension from the get go, rather than upgradeing the NA ones to the turbo equivalents. Even easier would be to wait for a nicely modified RB25DET ceffy to come up. For example: To land an average 88 cef with minor mods would cost you about $9000 You can get one with an RB25DET or an SR20DET conversion for about $12000 to $13000 landed. Now that's money you would spend on a new engine, labour etc anyways. So if you think about it, you're saving yourself the hassle, the downtime and the screwing around. Here's a few we've sold as examples, pay attention to the prices... http://www.j-spec.com.au/list/0346 http://www.j-spec.com.au/list/0811 http://www.j-spec.com.au/list/1097 http://www.j-spec.com.au/list/1849 http://www.j-spec.com.au/list/2449 http://www.j-spec.com.au/list/2503 http://www.j-spec.com.au/list/3067 complying a cef with an RB25 shouldn't be an issue as they came with RB25 (DE... but the compliancers usually don't care) as a standard option. SR20's can be a lil tricky to comply. That said demand for RB25 and SR20 cefs are pretty high, so expect to spend a few more months looking for one compared to RB20DET ones.

sif you bunch of horse and wagon drivers would ever be the product of my glorious seed. -
put it this way... we bought an R32 for a customer for 100yen that's a $1.50 in australian money. By the time it landed it cost him $5501.50, then he had to pay for compliance etc. It makes bugger all difference in the end whether you get a car for free, or for $1000. Spend wisely to start with, and you'll need to take less panadols down the track.
