I agree with the above sentiments... When some monkey hit my car and pushed my rear bumper in the bumper itself didn't show much sign of damage, but when we pulled off the bumper it was clear the bumper support bar underneath (or reo) had to be replaced.
Also with the bootlid, most times when you have a hit, the hinges never line up the same again... Take it to someone who knows about skyline repairs, and have them make up a quote for you. Most workshops will just gloss over it and you'll get a half done job.
Hell... bring it down to driftline (0425855540) in campbellfield and we'll give you a nice quote to give their insurer (plus I think we've got a black rear bumper, support and bootlid that would bolt in). If you're not at fault the other party's insurer will send an assessor to assess the damage and talk to the workshop carrying out the repairs. This is done if the insurance company thinks that the quote is abnormally high. If they question why you have to use that specific repairer, just say that you don't trust other repairers to do as good a job and that they are unfamiliar with R34's.
