  1. in VIC we get a yellow sticker... and on that sticker the conditions of the defect are clearly stated. I'm fairly confident its the same in NSW as well.
  2. I guess you're talking about 15 year old compliance. Installed the fuel restrictor in my car the other day using the tool... farken cool idea. It expands after its inserted so it dosen't come out. Child restraints are fairly straight forward. I wouldn't do the side intrusion bars yourself, most engineers will insist on installing them themselves or not issue you with the cert.
  3. They were sent middle of last week (using regular post) so it should arrive soon. If there's anything specific in the meantime that you guys need urgently let me know and I'll post a screengrab.
  4. Built: 02/1997 Original colour: KH3 (ext) K (int) Model Spec: GGKBRTFR33VDA----A Engine: RB25DET Model: R33 GTS25t Type M Trans: 5sp Manual Drivetrain: RWD HICAS
  5. waiting 4 years to jump at a chance? not really very enthusiastic if you ask me lol.Cops these days are too limp wristed with trouble makers... it should be a little more heavy handed or else the club hero's think they can get away with it. I'm not talking US style Rodney King beatings but a little roughing will bruise the ego a bit better.
  6. Goddamn you bitches whinge more than my mom. get you panties straightened and don't modify your cars if you don't want to be defected. If the parts on your car make you stand out from regular roadgoing traffic (be it bodykit, paint, tint, super green HID headlights, loud exhaust, full sik BOV etc) then obviously you're gonna attract attention from the constabulary. Now, if those parts don't meet ADR standards or if the police have any suspicion that they don't they will defect you so that someone with the proper technical background can check it out. The work can be done by Nissan themselves, and if they don't meet ADR's OR your local state VSI's then they are well within their rights to issue you a defect. Stop having a cry and harden up. If the going gets too hot, then get out of the frying pan. Your friend is must have been unaware of the fact that the first thing most police do when they issue a defect for bald tyres is stick around to see if the person drives the car after specifically being instructed that the car is no longer allowed to be driven on those tyres. It dosen't matter how close he is to home.
  7. sounds like the work of some druggo off the street trying to find something quick to sell for his next hit. Too messy and valuable stuff left behind... definitely not the work of a car thief/vandal. You'll be better off asking at the local pawn brokers (legitimate or illegitimate) to see if anything was traded in.
  8. nice work darrin... so I guess your missus will let you sleep on the bed now?
  9. would prefer a filesize under 50kb to keep page sizes to a minimum (current banner is 24kb). preferably not flash, as it adds more complexity to the pages (having to download the correct plugins etc, annoying mouseover sounds and transitions). so static jpg or gif would be ideal. But feel free to submit a flash banner if you can make one.
  10. lol yikes... hope I didn't cause a coronary! here's the one I was talking about:
  11. Please don't take this the wrong way, but I remember a car that looked identical to that... it came up in december at a different auction, we had it inspected coz we were interested in bidding on it. we didn't go through with it as it had rust on the underbody and it was repainted from KR4 (silver). Although I'm just going by the looks of the car alone, so yours could be a totally different car altogether, which just happens to look the same as the one I'm talking about. The VIN number of the car I'm talking about is WGNC34-011956 so if its different to yours then I'm sorry for raising false alarms. edit: just realised the one I'm talking about has a totally different grille to yours. So chances are it isn't the same car. Sorry about that.
  12. yeah I should be there... can't decide what car to bring... might bring the new toy... actually I wanted to know if you had the funky bottle with hose thing that you use to bleed brakes. let me know if you do.
  13. yeah its open to all users of the forum so come along and shoot the shit with us.
  14. carpark 2A? that carpark is the same distance from my house as it is to the agora
  15. its behind the shopping center in south morang
  16. Its probably best that you organise one just in Melb uni rather than put all your eggs in one basket. Its hard enough running one uni club (been there, done that) its much more of a headache trying to organise a cross university club... even with a full committee. talk to PALADN, he tried to organise a latrobe uni drift club not long ago. Dunno how it went though. Also there's no more drift at calder...
  17. ruk... you need clear tail lights to finish off the frost and blue look.
  18. Toyota cressida with 2JZ. easily. Or even a 1JZ if you can't afford the 2J upgrade. Its all relatively simple to do as the chassis came with a 1JZ in japan (but not in Australia). Make sure you have the lace doiley's on the seats and a box of tissues on the back parcel shelf for added sleeper factorial. Then you drift it like so:
  19. lol noice camo front bar, driveways are gonna soon become your most dreaded enemy. The foglights are most probably disconnected from when they took the bar off, do the front indicators work?
  20. make sure you come down and say hi to the SAU VIC crew that's gonna be at the GP displaying their cars.
  21. Just a reminder to those of you guys in the northern suburbs that our monthly breakfast meet is coming up on the 2nd of April (so its not an april fool's stunt). Its an age old meet we've had on the first Sunday of each month. There's no cruising, no motorsports or any driving of any kind. You don't have to bring your skyline either if you don't want to. Its just an opportunity to catch up with other SAUers in the northern burbs, or detox with some coffee and bacon and eggs with toast. The reverend skylinegeoff will be conducting the sermon for the day. Location Mill Park Lakes. A show of interest is appreciated.
  22. aw come on man, that was waaaaay too easy.
  23. sydney's love affair with the chrome is legendary... no matter how hard you try someone will always turn up with 20" chromies in some hideous spoke patter (or lack of spokes altogether). Although lovin the fact that guys are pimping out the Chrysler 300's (from memory the 300C's aren't available yet)... VIP style will reign in australia one day... bring on the widebody mitsi 380's, holden statesmen and chrysler 300's
  24. mmm City RSL... lol a fine drinking establishment indeed.
  25. I think the highest k's I saw on a car out of japan was on a bus. It had 1 million k's on it with logs. 150,000km's is fine, as long as the car itself is in a good condition and the engine is healthy (do the checks mentioned before to find that out). Also consider that a 1993 R32 probably came in under the old CPA scheme back in 2003/2004, so its probably clocked a fair chuck of mileage in australia. Apparently aussies add about 20,000km per year to their car.
