  1. I use an Apexi AVCR... old but reliable Have a read of these articles: http://autospeed.drive.com.au/cms/A_2836/article.html http://autospeed.drive.com.au/cms/A_2835/article.html before you run off and buy a boost controller that promises 11ty billion jiggawatts of power and DVD playing capabilities.
  2. Dunno about no rules, you still have to meet CAMS standards don't you? ie no bolt in rollcages etc. But still looks pretty good, and $190 (non member price) for a full day is good value.
  3. Skylines always have been and always will be a four door passenger car. The coupes are just a sportier version. Besides, you can't MAKE a laughable thread. It has to happen naturally. You suck at humour.
  4. Been using Bel to do absolutely everything on my A31 Ceffy as far as servicing and maintenance goes. Great prices and the guys know their stuff and their RB's (and ceffies as it turns out). Because they have a good knowledge of imports, and how they work, they don't use much guesswork. Was also very convenient when they were in Homebush, but still use em, even though they've moved.
  5. been pretty busy with work and social life for the last couple of weeks so I haven't had time to tweak the forum scripts yet. Hang in there guys.
  6. I like the S14a front on the ceffy body... I saw i ages ago, looked nice. Where's that thread with various frontend swaps when you need it?
  7. 4k? Damn. For that price you could have it shipped to the East coast, complied then transported to perth and still come out on top.
  8. well it started out as the ceffy section, then sorta grew to accomodate R32 sedan owners... then we realised there were actually people in australia who owned laurels, gloria's, cedric's and cima's... hence the "and other RB powered sedans".
  9. dangerous_daveo... you know you're gonna get owned by the stagea boys when it comes to boot space and luggage carrying. Hell their car even comes with instructions on how to carry a bike INSIDE the car.
  10. you guys have to remember that the original poster has a modded R32 GTS4 ie an AWD car with decent power, NOT a RWD GTSt, so you shouldnt base your comparisons between a GTR and a GTSt.
  11. is that the pic I took of your car at Autosmellon 2003?
  12. Helvetica that is all.
  13. looks like a pic of a Volvo dealership that's actually a SWAT national meet from memory (Stagea Web for Advanced Tune in case you're wondering). As for widebody stag... I dunno. I reckon it looks a little wierd and misproportioned.
  14. I sorta know where you're coming from as I have a modded R32 GTS4 as well... and when you compare it to an R32 GTR in daily driving duties, I really could not tell the difference. However on a track at full throttle is when you will notice the difference between a modified R32 GTS4 and an R32 GTR. However you will notice an immediate difference in handling and power when you compare your GTS4 to an R33 GTR or an R34 GTR, even in day to day driving. I find the R32's AWD system a little laggy, wheras its a lot more interactive in the latter models.
  15. errr you ALL know we already have a 4 Door Sedan section on the forum right? Its for owners of Ceffy's, Laurels, Cima's, Skyline sedans etc. Link biznitches: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...hp?showforum=83
  16. lol you guys are way too harsh... not that I'm a fan of the mod or anything, and I think the blend job looks wierd the R34 front dosen't suit the shape of the cef back. that said... we did this, so I can't criticise:
  17. its pretty easy, take the caliper off (but not disconnect it) then change the pads and then put the caliper back on. You might need to get someone to pump the brakes to move the pots out n stuff tho. I did my brake pads in a couple of hours.
  18. R33's only came as regular V Specs, no V Spec II was released. Nice car, dunno about the paint job and mismatched panels tho, but I guess its to show off the CF bits.
  19. 18" wheels are 2" over the maximum factory supplied wheel diameter. Exhaust may not meet the DB levels for ADR's, and your catalytic converter could not be functioning properly allowing illegal levels of CO into the atmosphere. Lowered suspension could make the lowest point of the car below the ADR approved limit, coilover suspension is illegal in most states where not supplied by the manufacturer etc There's a million and one reasons that could be used to pull you over. Keep in mind they only need to suspect something is amiss on your car to pull you over and question you or inspect your car. The less reasons you give them, the better obviously.
  20. I've always interpreted this as "if the GTR is eligible, then so is the GTSt", as it is the same model as a GTR, ie R32, but a different spec. Although I could be misinterpreting it.
  21. I thought improved production rules stated that you can use any engine as long as the maker of the engine was the same as the maker of the car.
  22. lol AE86 Driving Club article... "f**k AWAY DRIVING CLUB"... "f**k YOU BY MY MIDDEL FINGER !!!" lol... that's poetry!
  23. I'd love to see more stags in SAU VIC. Last couple of DECA motorkhana days we had an awesome showdown of the station wagons I dunno about BYO stags, they won't be covered by CAMS public liability etc, and then it gets all messy. Also we're doing a photoshoot at the cruise and at other events for the SAU VIC calendar that should be coming out soon. We want stags, cefs, laurels etc all in the calendar too.
  24. I highly doubt the RTA would hire a private investigator to follow some 17 year old kid around. They have multi million dollar road development projects etc to worry about before they get to you. Just don't drive like a tool or modify your car to attract attention to yourself and you should be fine.
  25. why don't you guys come to our SAUVIC portsea cruise on the 25th please check with dates posted here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=102281 Wouldn't mind catching up with some of you guys soon to give you your service manuals.
