its reverse reverse psychology in action also a lot of kid's these days say "one lady owner" and tell their mum to handle the sale, when they've spent the last 3 years thrashing the car to within an inch of its life. Personally I don't give a rats arse what the gender of the seller is, however their age and attitude does affect it. Although if the ad says "one lady owner" and the lady dosen't handle the sale or tell me things about the car, I become sceptical quite quickly as to the true owner of the car.

sif white... like 11ty billion other r33's in australia lol looks nice though.

funkymonkey replied to ARKAD's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
bloody arsemonkey's digging up 2 year old threads. -
maybe next time connect the brain to the right foot before your ego says "gun it" in a side road while doing chap laps. Then you won't have to worry who the f**k they are.

Fresh from Japan pics
funkymonkey replied to Beer Baron's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
lol neil my brakes don't work either... I'm gonna start bleeding the brakes in a few hours. Did your car come plastered with big signs that said "warning footbrake not working" etc? -
agreed... most RB30 builds these days are done using the Series 1 N/A RB25DE head, it also helps that this is a cheap and common part. Good to see the number of GTS4's on the rise

my gallery has a few "extreme" bosozoku owned C110's.

there's two other black R34 GTT owners in melbourne who like little boys. I'm sure they'd love to "meet" with you.

ummm.... not quite... that's the first two japanese words in the title of the auction that says "New Product" as in "this is a new product to our lineup". As I said its a knock off kit. In this case its made by a trader that goes on yahoo as "PS Duce"... its made of the flex fibreglass that most kit makers in japan do these days. Most of them are average quality kits meant to go on cars that belong to budding drifters. ie, a low cost replaceable item that roughly fits the car, but not to any great quality. here's some more pics: Here's the yahoo jp link: http://page2.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/b64000223 And here's the other kits this fibreglasser/shop sells: http://openuser.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/sh...?userID=ps_duce It really looks like a vertex knockoff with minor mods. Which I'm sure you could get done locally for a lot less. Nice photoshop on the orginal pic BTW

roflmao. If you can't afford 15k then you shouldn't be owning an import. Owning an import is not just about buying the car, its maintenance, insurance, rego, and quite possibly fines. You are young, and most possibly inexperienced, so you'd want insurance... plus what happens if someone steals your car, that's a huge investment gone right there. Insurance for a 2 door is more expensive than a 4 door, and an import is more than a domestic. There's no fun in owning a nice car if you have to live on beans for the whole time you own it.

What The Hell Is The Little Tube Thing Behind The Centre Console?

I wish I got Paris Hilton in my car. I'd PIIHB. -
Guys, this not a bleeding heart session for when you got done over by the police for whatever. If you were unfairly accused of something, and you resorted to legal action, please post your experiences as the thread starter says. We do not tolerate calling police officers names, "omg uleh I got done over for my BOV" and other such sob stories. Harden up and show some maturity.

I'll be expecting your payment in full then. Try DOTARS in their "National Code of Practice for Light Vehicle Construction and Modification" released on the 3rd of Feb 2006 Its basically the ADRs in a concise, easy to follow collection of documents. Not really much new, but worth a read in any case. Its not a new law or anything drastic, its simply a new guideline (and a clearer guideline for that matter).

looks like a godfather kit, which is a vertex knockoff.

GTS25? Anyone know where i can get one?
funkymonkey replied to ARKAD's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
when in doubt, keep quiet. R32 GTS25's do exist and they are a production model. They aren't as rare as people make them out to be. They ARE rare in Australia though, as only a few of them were ever imported under the CPA scheme prior to 2003. They only started production in 92/93 so they weren't imported as 15 year old cars either. Under the new SEVS laws you can import one as they meet the power to weight requirements. They are lighter than an R33 GTS25 which is also eligible for import. Prior to R32 compliance being available the ones in australia were the only ones you could choose from. However now with R32 compliance being around the $2500 mark, and the R32 GTS25's being relatively cheap to buy in Japan, you should be able to import one for under $10,000 for a nice latemodel R32 that hasn't been thrashed. Only catch is you've gotta find a car with no accident history. -
Duncan's Torque Splitter In An Awd Stagea?
funkymonkey replied to T0nyGTSt's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
R32 ATTESA is slightly different to R33/Stagea ATTESA, but all a torque splitter controls is the signal that tells the ATTESA controller how much slip the back wheels are experiencing. Get the controller (or rather, glorified potentiometer with some circuitry) on the right signal and it should work fine. -
R33Deviat... sure there is Mine is "Dad will whoop my ass if I make his car a drift pig". He's already givin me grief for bad fuel efficiency coz I put a boost controller in the cef. My old man washes the car every week and vaccumn it, dusts the carpets, even checks the water level in the battery every month. When spares have to be put in he insists on getting OEM nissan parts "because they are guranteed to work properly", even when I can get him spare parts out of japan cheaper. The man is obsessed. One of these days I'm gonna take the car away, drop it a couple of inches, put some 18's on it and fit a URAS kit onto it. Pimp my ride style

Are Xr6 Turbo Drivers The New Commodore Driver?
funkymonkey replied to morgsj50's topic in General Automotive Discussion
To date I've seen more tossers/dangerous driving in Skylines and Silvias/180SX's than I have in Ford XR6 Turbos (not counting regular XR6's). Most XR6 turbo drivers I've spoken to are in their mid 30's sensible on the road, but know how to give their cars some anger when they want to. I've met a lot more Skyline turbo drivers in their early 20's and drive their car with anger most of the time like they have something to prove to the rest of the roadgoing community So before you guys go pointing fingers make sure you don't sound like a bunch of hypocritical tards. -
Importing A Car Question
funkymonkey replied to lows_13's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
lol how many times are you gonna mention that name and number in a thread? -
ahaha "f**k YOU FRIEND GROUP!" love it... very entertaining... sometimes. Some of it seems a little wierd, almost borderline stalking/voyeurism, the stuff you do. Also the "wow huge cat" link dosen't work.

Importing A Car Question
funkymonkey replied to lows_13's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
Series 1 R32's (pre Aug 1991) have R12, Series 2 R32's have R134A Also, lows_13 I don't know what this import yard is up to. Here's some things to remember: R12 gas can be disposed of by certified refrigerant handlers (who else would do it when you sign that doc that says "oops? won't happen again") who won't let the gas into the atmosphere but dispose of it properly. R12 gas can't be degassed on australian soil, however, bond areas in various places around australia (including ports where cars land and are held in customs) are NOT considered australian soil (go figure). So all they had to do is send a certified air con guy to the bond area where they're held to degas it. Exporting a car to NZ to have it degassed is the biggest load of crock I have ever heard. Either: 1. the import yard has NO clue what they are doing. 2. they are giving some limp wristed excuse to cover up delays in the car, or are formulating an excuse to bump up the price of the car. Either way I'd be sceptical about handing over money to them if they gave me a story like that. I'm sure their car is great, but that's not how you do business. -
Poite, I thought the reasons were self explanatory why they were deleted. However 52 posts that are on the same topic is a bit much to just be deleted so I've put them in their own thread in the News/Current Affairs section. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=109026 Those involved in the thread: do not postwhore it, do not resort to name calling, or the thread and its contents will be removed.

Warning: Ebay Performance Products
funkymonkey replied to doritoboy's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Thread reopened. Guys keep to the topic, any off topic discussion (ie anything not related to the products on ebay) will be deleted by moderators, as they have every right to do so. A new thread with the rest of the discussions in this thread has been created in the News & Current Affairs section of the forum http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=109026 Again a warning to those posting in the new thread that it will be closed/deleted if people resort to name calling or offtopic postwhoring. -

got my car today (also arrived at brisbane on the same boat as the car above Neil, I didn't realise it was you who bought that car... such a nice car... tuff tuff tuff). Nothing stolen, nothing broken. The JDM tyte cup holder in my car had unfortunately wrenched my centre vent out, but you get that. -
Test Drove A Mazda Mps - Turbo Awd
funkymonkey replied to benl1981's topic in General Automotive Discussion
if that tickles your fancy then maybe try a Toyota Caldina Wagon... what I reckon could be the next hot import if more people were aware of em (and yes eligible under SEVS). 2.0L Turbo AWD wagon (essentially a celica GT4 with some padding). the newer model looks even hotter, but I dunno if its SEVS eligible just yet.
