  1. hmm... now that you put it that way, I guess the difference between 320km/h and 300km/h is minimal in a street car. With the GTR gearbox, how many RPM were you doing in 4th gear at 100km/h and what is it now with the GTS4 gearbox?
  2. in melb, have a set of GTR struts with aftermarket springs. Interested in swap? When's the latest you need em by though, as it'll be a while (maybe a month) before I can take em out.
  3. dezz, let me know when you're gonna go pick up the car and I might be able to swing around with a trade plate n save you the cost of temp reg. If its gonna be a single trip to vicroads. The compliance workshop is 40 mins to an hour away from him not 40 hours, which is how I read it as well.
  4. have the fixed the bonnet on the sagaris yet? or does it still flap around like as if it was about to come off at 100km/h?
  5. narkeh, will organise a date for DRFT86 to come with me and pick out the shtuff he wants, the rest I'll just dumpster. When are you available thru the week?
  6. lol I'd love to see a skyline driver try that shit about their car... "sent a letter to NISSAN, they offered me a pat on the back and told me to fcuk off and die". At least he got a free service, If it was that faulty I'd be selling it as soon as the warranty period was over.
  7. greg, can I grab an oil catch can off ya mate? also, any oil filter relocation kits or radiators?
  8. so you and nate will be butt fcuking hey?? and why do you want us all to come help again? I'm sure nate loves teh maori cawk.
  9. hey narkeh, is my stuff still at teh workshop? I need to grab teh seatbelts and some trim for one of the 86 guys. Need to organise to meet with you as well. PM.
  10. drift battle... that's what I've gotta get a subscription for. Stupid newsagent refuses to get it.
  11. you want a viscous over a 2 way? hmm maybe downgrade to a 1 way instead... viscous LSD's are... well lets not beat around the bush, they're appaling.
  12. R33 GTS4's were all N/A's the poor buggers. In the conversion, you can also use holden rotors drilled to the right PCD if you can't source R33 GTSt rotors, they're almost identical in dimensions. Also if you're getting R32 GTSt front calipers, make sure you get the Type M ones as they're 4 pot, instead of the regular 2 pot. R33 GTS25t's should be all 4 pot.
  13. I'm subscribed to autospeed.com (online mag), some very good articles in it, and without doubt more to come. Other than that I also get Option mags from japan via subscription. I also buy HPI mags every month, just coz sometimes there's dull issues which aren't worth buying, and also because then I get to choose which bonus mag I want (usually at my local newsagent there's about 4 combinations of current isses and bonus mags). Although in the last 3 years I think I've only skipped about 6 issues (which I eventually got as bonus issues lol)
  14. people seem to have an easier time fitting S15 hub assemblies onto the cef than the R32 when doing a 5 stud conversion. But its not that great a difference.
  15. Al man... you totally blew my strategy. Good one... I guess I'll just have to look up in the sky and avoid the area around the mushroom cloud now.
  16. when? where?
  17. ahh so "Levoc" is the name of the chrome "magic stick" in my dad's ceffy.
  18. its a seperate panel that sits on top of the rear bumper (urathane'd on usually). If you have a stock bumper only then the word skyline will be embossed into it. If you have a light up panel it'll be clear with a silver mirror backing behind it (not embossed). You'll know it if you have it
  19. Skyline lights on a stagea looks gay with aids. And I'm not just saying that to make fun of you guys... seriously, it looks so out of place. For starters the rear seems a lot wider than an R34, which means it looks misproportioned.
  20. nissansilvia.com ---------------------------------------------> don't let the door hit you on the way out
  21. The block wasn't damaged while it was in the car or anything, so other than the rust there shouldn't be any actual damage to the block. I'm in Bundoora. Ash already spoke to me about your project, he said he'd be busy, so I'll try and grab some pics of it. Only problem is that its pretty heavy so I won't be able to manuvre it around much (its upside down so the sump dosen't get crushed).
  22. man that was quick... you just got off the phone with Ben.
  23. lol i didn't use your account. there's more than one way to skin a cat.
  24. lol I guess that's one of the perks of importing one straight from japan, you take out the step where there dealer winds back the k's to bump up the price.
  25. as CruiseLiner just said, you can do some damage to the clutch packs with the fuse method. You'll never notice this if you take it for spin down the road or try to do a burnout, its only when the car's under sever load (ie dyno or on a track) that you'll see visible signs. At the end of the day, its your call, and you'll have to bear the consequences.
