  1. it looks better than that in the game... must be low res capture cards for video
  2. they also don't have local manufacturers of cars with huge lobbying power
  3. yeah yeah I know... I'll get to it.
  4. ATTESA stands for "Advanced Total Traction Engineering System for All Electronic Torque Split" = torque distribution HICAS stands for "High Capacity Active Steering" = steering
  5. As I said, IF you find someone postwhoring or trolling outside the nominated area, report it. I leave it to your good judgement what postwhoring is, ie more than one completely irrelevant post by the same user with no point in mind other than to bump one's postcount up. When reporting a user's posts in a thread, be considerate and don't report every single post in the thread by the user, and where possible combine reports from multiple threads about a single user into one report. Leave the moderating part up to the moderators. If you're being irrational or over enthusiastic in reporting people, or if you're seen only to be reporting certain other members out of spite, then I'm sure they'll let you know in due time. I'm sure the 4 people who slim speaks of will watch where they post in the future, or risk being placed on moderator review. What's done is done. I suggest you don't dig up the annals of SAU history to trace all the posts that can be reported. Just report the ones that happen in the future. That said, we are working on a new version of the forum atm. I'll see to it that the new implementation dosen't use post counts to avoid people having a running tally of how they're doing against each other. I've removed the postcount that shows uner the username next to each post as a slight deterrant for now.
  6. If you think of a Skyline as what its supposed to be... ie a sporty passenger car, then HICAS is awesome. If you take a corner too fast it kicks in and helps you keep the car in control and back on line. If you're a fully sick drifter or die hard trackday warrior, then HICAS is like going on a date with a hot chick and having your mom run upto your car to give you a scarf so you don't catch a cold... ie... nice thought, but totally useless. You want to control your car one way, and HICAS wants to help so it makes your car go the other way.
  7. as far as the general australian road going television trusting public goes, Lexus is a different company to Toyota. Plus the Chaser platform was sold in Australia up until 1992 as the Cressida... it was just downgraded a shitload... same chassis though.
  8. Settle down all you bitches. I couldn't give a rats arse if people postwhore, as long as its contained within the wasteland section and the state specific chat threads. If anyone is seen postwhoring outside of those nominated areas, the mods can and will place you under mod review (ie all your posts thereafter will have to be authorised by a mod before it shows on a thread). Now the mods can't be keeping tabs on all the sections and all the threads, so the onus is on you guys to let us know. If you see anyone postwhoring or trolling outside of those nominated areas, feel free to report the post so a mod can deal with it.

    Im New

welcome schmenz, hope you enjoy your stay
  10. hehe usually guys in civics and NX's leave you alone if you have a skyline or silvia as they know they're outmatched power-wise. But when something looks like a regular magna, they put their balls on the line.
  11. I though you good friend Bracks was greek?
  12. http://www.police.vic.gov.au/content.asp?Document_ID=2132
  13. you should be able to pick up a good one owned by a nice little family for under 3 grand.
  14. Like shyster suggested... 1990 - 1992 Toyota Cressida (MX83) with 1JZ conversion... its been done oh so many times in australia/nz, but you would so fly under the radar. you can then take it a step further and fit a JZX81 Chaser (or even Mark II) bodykit to it (which should fit with minimal changes)...
  15. i did? whoops... ah well they can pay some more to have it corrected.
  16. R32 and R33 did indeed come in an RB20E single cam N/A engine. They weren't sold locally, only available as grey imports. There's no australian emissions data for the RB20E either (meaning no cars with that engine were sold in australia).
  17. E = RB25 C = HICAS R33 = Marshmellows ER33 is an R33 without HICAS, ECR33 is one with... it dosen't mean that they've got turbos or not. Although you usually had to buy a poverty model (ie N/A) R33 to get no HICAS as standard.
  18. you could just ask an R34 owner on this forum to take a pic of his car at night with the brake lights on.
  19. rofl you noticed too... must be cos I threatened to ban him... I ban people who are in my good books too you know Chris... like Duncan Anyways, the point of this post is to let you know slim that pixelcars.com dosen't seem to work.
  20. his car's coming in RoRo, should be landing in brissy on the 23rd. What on earth is an M-Spec II though?
  21. damn they must be small wheel arches in that case... they look like 17's from that side on shot
  22. are those real tanabe's? they look pretty big.
  23. how about "shove it up your arse and tickle your tonsil with it Duncan"
  24. Well... its in the brochure... unless Nissan made a typo.
  25. hmm i dunno about this "all R33 GTSt's are Type M" thing... one of these days I'll try to mythbust it.
