  1. it's also not orange
  2. got a 4 drawer kingchrome for $180 through the trade account. i loves me some ball bearing drawer action. dropped my iphone like 6 times now onto floorboards, marble, concrete and road. even once where it slipped through a hole in my jeans pocket, down my leg, as I was walking, onto my shoe and managed to kick it straight in front of me a few meters... the back plastic has a small crack near the port and the corners are all scratched... other than that, no damage. had it almost 2 years.
  3. hey dan. can you pm the number for the mob down the street that fixes ceffys?
  4. my experience with Kristian from Iron Chef Imports was exceptional. He even offered me a free reacharound. You don't get that kinda service anywhere else. Definitely on my recommended list.
  5. no, that's just sinking to his level. follow the legal channels if you want something done (formal complaint on conduct), or just start believing in karma and let it go.
  6. No point suing, but a formal complaint, along with a letter from vicroads (type it up and get em to sign) indicating the hours wasted following his error should be enough. its what you'd do if anyone else in any other profession were in the wrong, but persisted when their error is pointed out. At the very least his superior might ask him to be better versed in the state and federal ADR's and ISO's, which will reduce the ignorance.
  7. depends. if you lose all your points because of the points loss for the fine then it'll extend. if not then it won't. 6 days till I get mine back bad enough with 1 month suspension, dunno how you're gonna manage with 3.
  8. fixd
  9. also... $50 strippers? ewww.
  10. get laid. </sad life>
  11. you nga's need cars that can break traction in any weather.
  12. viper used to be good, but these days, along with the rest of the DEI gear, it seems fairly average quality wise. probably the best bang for buck tho.
  13. running 10/8 on the GTS4 on matched Tanabe springs and shocks. Is nice. Bumpy, but not as bad as my old 12/10 setup which was bumpy as fuck, but it's not a daily so I don't really give a toss... and if the passengers don't like it... they can GTFO and walk.
  14. 4/4 wtf? GTR's are 60/40 weight distribution, so you should be running 6/4 or at least 5/4.
  15. pigs arse, we've fitted about 3 sets on cars, and they were almost identical to the other equivalent stuff from race logic and G4/D2. Just powdercoated a different colour. Shit we even showed the race logic guy who looked after our trade account and he was like "ummm yeahhhh funny that".8/4? you had better spring rates when you were rockin superior stock suspension for acceleration.
  16. an 89 model will most possibly be one of the cheapies that came in under the 15 year rule back when there was a loophole in the system. There's no need to put a compliance plate on it, however the australian VIN number needs to be stamped on the chassis of the car. Sometimes they stamp it around the front strut tower, which may then get covered up by a crossbar etc. If its not there, it's not that big a deal. Find the VASS that signed off your car, take it back to them and get them to stamp it. You should have all the paperwork (or the original importer should anyway). Worst case scenario I'd challenge the defect and point out that a car that was imported under the 15 year rule prior to 2007 did not need a compliance plate fitted, just a engineer's cert from a VASS. That is if ALL that you were defected for was not having a compliance plate and not any other illegal mods etc.
  17. server needs less of you and your fat skanks bringing it down. the DB corrupts itself the same way I bleach my eyes to make it stop.
  18. save up and buy decent coils so he can do both? not that he'd ever drag his balls too low to the ground, he'd destroy that fibreglass kit of his at the sight of a bump in the road... so he'll be running it at a safe and possibly legal height, so why bother with cheap coilovers?
  19. don't BC's come with 7kg and 4kg springs standard? From memory that's around the same rebound rate as stock. Performance gain? Turn the dampening off full firm and see how the bounce rate is. The midrange of most cheap coils are terrible, they only work properly at either extreme due to the nature of their valving. Add to this that BC's don't have progressive springs, and it's pretty much a recipe for fail. With the same amount of money you could get a very good set of matched springs and struts that will last longer, perform consistently and much more smoothly. Fuck adjustable dampening and height, the only guys who do that usually have $5000 suspensions and visit a suspension shop before and after each event. If someone's on a $1200 budget for suspension their broke ass isn't gonna see a suspension shop after it's been set. ever. they'll just ghetto it up at home every time they get defected.
  20. the level of crack consumption in this here parts of SAU seems to be rampant.
  21. cheap coilies and weird offset wheels maketh not a well handling car.
  22. oh yeah, big red was built on a different base car eh?
  23. no such thing. regards, ex RB20 with TD06-20G owner. "lag lag lag oh shit a tree ffffuuuuck".
