Pat, most guys who get race cars prepped at the shop only swap to thermos when their radiators are too close, too far or at the wrong angle. Almost all of them prefer to run clutch fans, and the only thing that prevents em from doing so is restrictions imposed by rad. They dont choose a rad to suit the fan, ever.
Also, you guise, building an RB23 isn't that difficult or expensive. It can be done with factory parts out of an RB26 and a little bit of machining. Much simpler than an RB25 swap as you don't have to change the electricals or ancillaries, and most definitely much cheaper and easier than changing to an RB30.
