  1. Top racing really know their work. Every workshop has their pros and cons. But put it this way I'm yet to find a performance shop that stand behind their tune an ensure their work. The only other place I feel can do this would be Top racing after having dealt with 2 very well known performace shops when it comes to tuning the power FC D-Jettro, both their service and tune were very very poor indeed espically after "paying for what I got". Rob
  2. My Two Cents (word to the wise) Alls I can say is to quote Mr Ken "You get what you pay for". I mean shit, one thing I can say positive about Ken "Hyperdrive" is that he stands behind his work. Sure he charges a shit load, but he too has to keep himself in supply of cavier like any highly specialised perth wonder performance shop. I have got some work done by Hyperdrive in the past and if theres only one thing I can say thats positive is that Ken does stand behind his work. He talks alot of hot air and comes accross as a rude son of a bitch but thats just the way he is. If he makes a stuff up he will fix it, as for him blowing a motor because of mods and not fixing it, im not sure of that. As for tuning a D-Jettro Power FC thats another story that neither Hyperdrive nor Xspeed could make good on, "just my exp". And Ken is always happy for you too bring ya own parts, but if the install f*^ks up its on your head not his, to quote directly. Rob
  3. Hey man, I have got one I bought from jaycar. I dont need it anymore. $80 its only 1 week old. Good quality too. [email protected]
  4. Thanks for that sugestion. The sony 4 channel amp is brand new and I already swapped it for a new one it it didn't correct the problem.... Hense this is why I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. The amp did get hot though and that was both amps.... What causes amps to get hot? I already run a 1 farad cap to assit any voltage peaks etc...
  5. nar amp isn't over heating.
  6. Hi I have a quick question in relation to my Yellow Top battery I bought about 12 months ago. I have a optima deep cycle 41 A/H 500CCA Yelltop battery, I belive its a D51. I'm using the battery in my 1990 nissan skyline GTR. My problem is this : I was running a mono block amp (sony XM-D1000P5) and a simple two channel amp. The stereo was fine. Recently the 2 channel amp broke down and I replaced with a 4channel amp. After doing this my stereo now chops / cuts out after 10 ~ 15 minutes of playing at loud volume.... What I mean by chops out is that the mono block amp and sub continue to run along with my head unit but the front and rear fill running off the 4 channel amp chops out (cuts out). So I bought a 1 farard capacitor to try and fix this problem, but it still occurs. Then I also ran a new 4 guage earth cable in the boot direct to the 1 Farah capacitor and also to the negative side of the battery to try and remedy the problem, still happens. THE PROBLEM STILL OCCURS.... Also for infomation my mono block amp uses 10.5 ~ 16 Volts and the current drain at rated output 90A (at 2 ohms) and my new sony 4 channel amp (sony MSD46X) and the Current drain is (@ Rated Power - 4Ω): 31Amps. So my question is can the Optima yellow top battery handle my CAR amps or what else do you think the proplem can be....?? PS : Also does anyone know the output of a 1990 R32 GTR alternator?? see if may be a problem aswell?

  9. You think it will be easy to take out... Like not a 6000rpm launch or somthing right...?
  10. I know its a crapy kinda question but just wondering what people OP's would be. My GTR has 2860r's, 260 Tomei cams, all supporting mods (rad, intake pods,700cc sards etc etc) Apexi PFC D-Jettro and runs about 430RWHP on dyno. The VZ ss ute is stock. My bro thinks it will thrash it to bits. I mean I have come up against WR craps and common whores but no exp against utes. Just wondering if anyone has ever had a line up next to one of these and how they went or how my car would perform against one. I think the VZ SS ute specs are : a 6.0 V8Gen IV, 1600.. Kgs and around 250Kw .... anyways.... Like to hear some thoughts
  11. Hold on, don't certain degreasers and solvents break down plastic and rubbers? like WD40?... sounds pretty messed up....
  12. Thought I would add another G.M.G GTR to the collection, with the custom grill I made and used to sell.
  13. Hey Strich9 I will ask for ya opinion when I want it bro. As for stalking the fourms for where i have been n shit get alife ya clown.
  14. Man I thought this was pretty hardcore when I heard it from a chick whos into cars. Anyways she had a sleepa sigma (special model?), fully rebuilt it herself, cant recall turb she used anyways she took it out for a spin, took plates off and cops gave chase (note about 3:30 in morning) went down a ally way lights off lost them. Man belive me if you knew this chick you would know shes not lying, she like has more balls n wits then most blokes I know. anyways a tale for ya. Maxium respect to shell dangerous but kick ass driver.
  15. I see you point, but seriously if some "TWAT" thinks im an idiot I don't even know, I couldn't, don't, give two nobs of goat shit.
  16. You talkin me..... If it takes being part of club to make you more aware of others on the road, THEN MATE MAY ALL MOTORISTS from gaywoos to land cruisers beware when you special awareness powers wear off when you forgot to renew your club membership aye bro. I Don't speak pom but you sound like abit of a spotted dick. I went on the last cruise that started at city west and 3 other F*&KERS almost made me crash and one WAS a member. One guy spun out "360" in the middle of a intersection!!! Anyways just don't like people saying I can't drive on the road at a specfic time at specfic place because I didn't buy sticker yet I donated to SAU. Mate alls I know is no "civilian" has the power to say where and when I can and can't drive my GTR unless its in violation of some specfic Traffic code or an order from the WA Police Service. Simple.
  17. Asked to leave aye.... Ok I might just go. Not really in to Star Wars trilogy or Choose ya own dog books. More into THE GODFATHER TRILOGY and reading books more along the theme of The Art of War by Sun Tzu. OUT...
  18. Can't you just follow the pack of skylines on the road?
  19. Or just rockup even if ya havent got a sticker since ya got a skyline. I met you a few cruises ago dan, nice bloke never said much too me when I asked for a map at city west awhile back. I was the big bald guy with a R32 GTR.
  20. WOW I WOULD BUY ITEMS OFF THIS GUY!!! SOUNDS deff on the level aye..... I would give him $1500 for a R43 Gear box. IF ITS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE then go and have a wank.
  21. No im talking about the FRONT UPPER CONTROL ARMS man left and right.
  22. so then I can use R32 GTS-T front top control arms for my R32 GTR correct? To the ohter guy I already have aftermarket arms. My proplem is they said they are not adjustable...... or could it be he is trying to rip me off or... he said they are ball bearing.... so they must be ok...
  23. I went to a suspension shop recently to get a quote to correct the negative camber that my Tein coil overs had created becuase the ride hide had dropped. I got a quote for a full 8 x polyurethane busht kit etc made by superpro fitted for $475. Today I go there and they tell me cant fit it becuase the top control arms are aftermarket and use bearings so bush's cant be used and that I will need to replace them with stock ones..... So my questions is does anyone know if I can use a R32 GTS-T control arms for my GTR. I called nissan todat for the part number and he they were the same part used for both GTR and GTS-T can anyone confirm that or have part numbers cheers.... need help quick. Cheers Rob
