I am an Aussie living in UK and it costs me a fortune to send SMS messages to Australia from here, 20p per message from my mobile phone network to be precise (AUD$0.48).

You can also send group sms messages (i.e. one for all recipients), mobile content such as ringtones and fax messages from there at incredible rates.
I am a high communicator with my mates back home, so cost savings was important to me, and in my position I would have appreciated anyone sharing their 2 pence with me if it could save me significant money, so this should benefit someone.
