I agree with you there. Unlike many of the 'bland brigade' in Canberra, I appreciate performance cars and enjoy driving to the Max!. I just dont like the inconsiderates who decide that a suburban street is the place to do it with all the risks inherent, such as bike riders, pedestrians and kids, not to mention that there are a shitload of trees, powerpoles and houses!. Guys, get out and drive some real roads. Drive down Kangaroo Valley. Try a brisk run up Macquarie Pass on a misty, rainy day without traction control. Take a trip out to Gunning via Sutton.....there are plenty of places to have fun, and if you want to drift, take it out to Wakefield and go nuts! :lol:

Its the Auto with Tiptronic. Its all ready to go, so pick it up this weekend. I have had some really good help and advice from Marc in Canberra who has a great looking white RS4 with the body kit and 18's. I am really looking forward to the drive from Gold Coast to Canberra, although the lack of cruise control might prove to be a bit tiresome. Marc and I would like to organise a get together soon, so we can get the few Stagea owners in Canberra together. Maybe you would like to come along?

I have tried the Shell Extreme and dont like it. My car (XR6 Turbo) runs rough, doesnt idle properly and with no noticable difference in performance. Remember only about a year or two ago there was uproar around service stations selling fuel with ethanol. Cars were not running properly, there was a lot of press about it. Well this is the same thing with our Government trying to promote it as a 'clean' and renewable fuel and Shell's spin doctors doing a great marketing job by selling it as a high performance fuel and charging a premium for it!. Suffice to say my car runs much better on Optimax and I wont be using Extreme again. Scale of 1-10, I would say 4. Anyone else had the same issue with rough idle?

Not heading through Tamworth, unfortunately. Got family and friends I will drop in to see on Central Coast. I love the drive past Byron Bay and the Coffs coast.

Will these rims fit a Series II Stagea. Not sure whether they need to be +35?

Man, those are some scary numbers!!! Are you on the mainland? I am so impressed by your beast, a work of art. I get mine next week. Its an RS4, and is going to be the family runabout second car. Plan a few power mods (exhaust, air deflector, K&N Panel, etc) but basically keeping it stock. We intend to keep it for a long time

I intend to go back via the coast road, about the only worry there is around where the road works are on the Coffs coast. I will be taking it pretty easy, as I am sure that it could do with a nice long run. I intend to use only Premium, and will slip in some injector cleaner too. Not sure what size tank I have, but from other threads, looks around 400k's per tank.

Hi Terminal, I should be picking up our new Stagea this week, after going through compliance. Mark suggested we should get together when he gets back from a short break. I was really impressed with the Tow bar you got done...very schmick. I am driving it back from the Gold Coast, so should give me an opportunity to get acquainted. In the words of the late Big Kev...... I'm excited! Pick up my Stagea next week from the Gold Coast. Driving it back to the ACT. Its a white RS4 Series II. I have bought it sight unseen (apart from the pics from Japan). The dealer sent me detailed photos when it landed, and advised me that its got the Dayz carbon fibre centre surround and door handles, a CD stacker and full immobiliser Alarm already installed!! Happy days. Its also got a body kit, twin roofs and the rear airbags too. So if you see me as I drive on my way through, give me a wave

Spotted Marc's ride in Weetangera the other day. It looked great. I had to do a u-turn in my car to show my girl what the car she is getting looks like. She really liked it, and I have shown her Marcs car on this forum before she saw it in the flesh. My RS4 has landed in Oz, and is waiting for our friends in customs to clear her. Its a Series II in white with a body kit and R33GTR wheels. I am thinking of changing the wheels, but no sure what type of look I want...any ideas. P.s. Check out this insane video of some guys in a Veilside GTR doing over 200 MPH (yep, mph) on a public road in NZ.
