  1. Dude are you talking about the effect used in GONE IN 60 SECONDS (Dean) and GREASE (black car with flames) ? Thats the good stuff for getting tailgaters off your butt... except I don't think you have to redline it...
  2. Has anyone looked into these before ? I saw 2 mentioned on Today Tonight a little while ago... www.fuelstar.com.au and www.fitchcatalyst.com.au Both claim to treat petrol so that it burns cleaner and more consistent so you experience an increase in fuel economy, more power, and less emmissions (maybe its possible to toss the CAT out ?) Two applications...an inline one that you hook up like a petrol filter by breaking the fuel line and clamping both sides to it... the other is by dropping a few pieces of metal into your tank... I'm not sure if these things are only talk, but they sound great... I guess I'd be happier if NRMA, autospeed, etc reviewed them and tested them... at the moment they only have international organisations reviews, etc... I was thinking of buying one for the bike or a small hatchback to test it out on - before I killed my R33s engine with it... I am also interested if anyone thinks they can help organise to get them to give us one for free to thoroughly test the product more than their 90 days return guarantee allows... I am also a little pessimistic about the inline version as it looks like it'll restrict our fuel flow...else we'd have to buy their truck version which is close to a grand... Anyway, has anyone tried these, read about these or know the science behind them ???? I would love to get one if it works - before my next tune...
  3. I wouldn't mind getting my full 3inch stainless off the turbo coated... any idea how much and how long it'll take ? and does anyone know if it'll make the thing quieter for me ?? PS. DOES ANYONE KNOW A PIZZA HUT MANAGER ? we can cut a deal with the boss (we'll buy dinner/breakfast there) and slide the pipes through their oven...the surface scrolls so the pipes don't have to move around... I think Hungry Jacks will work too...even Route 66 if it still exists...
  4. There was a pretty cool PDF file going around not long ago...perhaps someone can check it out to see if the factory boost sensor listed ?
  5. I've seen enough movies to know you've gotta cut the red wire before the green one dude... They never have white wires on tv though do they ?
  6. Can someone email me with info on how to get any of the diagnostics to the R33 ? Is there a PDF ?? Any help would be great... my email is [email protected] (not sure if you can link to this via the profile or not...
  7. I've got mine to do that...just needs another relay... ps. use some quality wiring for the job... now I've just gotta get some of those upgraded globes...
  8. I think there is a setting agent like sealant that you may need to pry apart...
  9. Sounds like one of your spark plugs have had it dude...give them a check
  10. and whenever you get a bassy note on your tunes... Its amazing how many Nissans just have a piece of rubber hose jammed up against the glass to stabilize the rear view mirror too...looks dodgy when you start to notice it...
  11. I've had it for a few days now and have had non stop headaches... I have had to change my whole driving standard to make the revs stay out of the 2.5-3.5K RPM rev range, as this is when the constant bass of it gets to me... I am interested in a cheap mod to minimise this or even better - eliminate it...without spending much more money, nor with going backwards too far... any suggestions would be appreciated... Am thinking about adding something in the straight piping between the cat and the straight-through resonator...it would seem to be the place to add something - but I haven't checked for room in an under-body cavity yet...
  12. Thanks SydneyKid... I'll put this to the next guy I go to for a wheel alignment... I have no personal choice nor do I know what to ask for... But if I can get front tyres to last longer than a year by wearing even then I'll be happy... Maybe he was put off by not knowing what settings to put it on cause the R33 isn't in his book...or perhaps he wasn't sure about the HICAS...
  13. I have 235/40/17 on the front and 255/40/17 on the rear... I have noticed that the front tyres wear unevenly now... The inside 1 inch wearing bald while the majority of the tyres are chunky as... Anyone else getting this ? I am told that sometimes Skylines do this, or that wide tyres cause this... Also finding that the guard-liners are wearing against the front tyres somehow... Thing is, I've had it for years and its only started doing this in the last year...and I can't figure out if it is worn suspension or my driving on corners... The initial indicator I noticed in the area was that the guard liners pop to the outside of the guard lip, and I have to sometimes push them back in behind them... I'm interested to find if others have any similar signs...
  14. Hi Guys... this is my first reply to any forum...(be nice) I've JUST got a full stainless 3 inch system off the turbo on my totally stock R33 - besides a K&N filter element change. Bottom line...I think its loud and can get really annoying when sitting in traffic with people staring at you and closing their windows... I didn't realise I would lose so much of my subtleness by upgrading my exhaust... All of the boyz love the sound of it, but its not really my thing... is there something I can put on it to keep the low end bass note down ??? Its got a hot dog and a straight through muffler...
