  1. Ive got a spare one. PM me if you want it. - Pete
  2. Thanks for the suggestions guys! The suspension in it is not too bad so i'm leaning towards brakes at the moment. R33 GTR items? Or is it worth going a set of AP racing ones?
  3. That's a damn good price! From memory they are well over 2 grand now. I'm still getting used to the twin plate rattle though.
  4. They are a pretty awesome clutch. I rember chatting to ed about where I got mine from. They were cheap as before the A$ crashed.
  5. Hey guys, Just got my car back, its currently making 340kw atw @ 22psi. Just wondering what should be the next mod and what power the engine should handle. 6. Yep! Thats where its been! I saw your engine before it went in btw. What a monster! Awesome torque curve. Yes. I was going to chat to you about that actually Michelle. I was going to join the SDMA this year and get my CAMS license sorted out. Ill have to come along and say g'day the next one.

  8. Hey everyone, About 14 months ago I bought an R32 GTR, the car I have always wanted, and had every intention of meeting some other skyline owners on the forums. Unfortunately, the cheap purchase price was offset by a blown head gasket and so a full rebuild was underway. Anyhow, after heaps of work and heaps of cash I finally have it back and driving so I am keen to meet a few of you guys. Look forward to catching up with everyone at some stage! - Pete
  9. Any news on this? Mine started doing it today
  10. * The boost on the hand controller is about 80 off the mechanical boost gauge. * Cant hear any boost solenoid rattle * COM line goes to the wastegate and NO line to the intercooler piping MAP sensor may be it. Ill have a better look.
  11. Hey everyone, Hopefully someone will be able to provide some assistance and advice for what to look for. I have the power fc and power fc boost controller hooked up as per the manual however the boost controller does not stop boost at all. No matter what setting we put it to the boost will keep climbing until we back off. Even when we reduce the duty to 0 and drop the desired boost level it has no effect. The boost cut safety feature doesn't seem to work either. The funny thing is when we unplug the solenoid and connect the 2 vacuum lines together boost holds at 10 psi flat perfectly. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated because we have tried heaps to find the problem without success. I have a feeling it must be something simple I have overlooked. (Before you ask I can assure you that the boost controller setting is turned on in the PFC ) - Pete
  12. As the title says. Mine doesn't screw in because some tabs have broken off. - Pete
  13. Remember that R32's are an old car now. There can be lots of parts getting tired and breaking, especially if your chasing numbers over 300rwkw. An engine rebuild on a GTR may be possible for about $7-10 grand however its really easy for it to blow out to double that. I bought an R32 GTR just over a year a go. Its been off the road for 11 months undergoing a full engine rebuild and the price stacks up pretty quick. Sometimes it better to stick with a car that you know, and know what needs fixing. Selling and buying again is running the risk of buying someone elses problems. If you want 4wd however, get a GTR. As Michelle said, you will never beat the handling of a GTR without spending HUGE amounts of cash. - Pete
  14. As description says. Needs to be in good working order.
  15. I'm about to get my car back after an 11 month engine rebuild. It should be run in by then so I am definitely in. Not really interested in taking it too seriously but would like to know what it is now capable of. Ill have to organise a time to meet everyone though - Pete
  16. Your right mate. It was a typo. No one is saying that volume of air is not important. But to turn around and say that WRRR is outright wrong when he makes a statement is just counter productive. The point he was trying to make was spot on.
  17. WRRR is right. PSI = Pressure per square inch This is a measurement of how much air per square inch is in the plenum. The Plenum will not change no matter how many turbos a car has. The reason 1 GTR turbo cant make the same power as 2 is because it is because it cannot move enough air fast enough to reach the desired power level. You are right in saying that volume is important. However, 12 psi is 12 psi. Both turbos are pushing air through to reach the desired boost level. It just means they can get there twice as fast with half the amount of work each. Thankyou very much for your answer WRRR
  18. Ive waited 11 months! Still waiting. Not the workshop though. I sent it to a specialist engine builder who dragged the chain ridiculously. Cant complaint though, just meant I could pump more money into the rest of the car while I waited. It will be back any day now and I chewing at the bit waiting!
  19. Im no expert on the matter, but from my way of thinking, the PSI is built up by forcing more air into the cylinder as a turbo works more like a 'pump' than a compressor. The more air (ie volume of air) you bump into the cylinder the more pressure builds up. When this pressure builds up to 12 psi the wastegate opens. Therefore does that mean that 12 psi from 2 turbos just means that each is generating 6psi. The benefit therefore is quicker build up of boost at lower revs and less strain on each turbo charger. I thought that PSI is a result of a higher volume of air forced into each cylinder. Like I said, no expert on the matter. I just want to understand how it works
  20. Sounds like air flow meter problem.
  21. That is hot mate! Im looking at going 19" Konig Afterburners on my R32. I was worried 19s would be too big but that looks great! Thanks again!
  22. Hey guys, I went through the MASSIVE listing of R32 pics with minimal success. I was just wondering if anyone had decent pictures of R32's running 19" rims. Searches haven't really came up with much. Thanks in advance. - Pete
  23. Hey Guys, Haven't been on for ages but I just wanted to through my hat in the ring and say how much ed has helped me out too. Back in January Ed gave me the bad news that me engine was cooked. Since then I have gone through an entire engine rebuild and he has been more than happy to answer all of my questions about what to do and what not to do. He is a top bloke and thanks to him after nearly 11 months I get my car back with a new engine and new lease of life. Having worked in the automotive industry in Canberra I know how many tosses there are and im glad to have someone like Ed I can rely on. Can't recommend him enough. - Pete
  24. Ok! $200 Delivered. Need it gone!
