  1. im in the same boat as skys....bad time for cash, but definately have the interest. All depends when the cut-off date is. Im not too fussed if i miss out for now
  2. you would be lucky to get a stock r32 with 100,000k's+ in perth for that price. a tidy automatic would cost that much
  3. thanks jimx, that is the type of response i was after. I understand the concept of filtering air, i just wanted to know if anyone is aware if it is being done any better than it was 2 yrs ago. It sounds like apexi is. are you finding much dirt getting thru?
  4. wish this was around when i was buying mine.. R32's are so cheap in qld.
  5. Hi, I have had a few reports from mates who have advised not to install pod filters as they tend to let a lot of particles pass thru. this was a couple of years ago, and i have never used one. What are you experiences with pod filters these days?
  6. the other bad thing about going with RAC is having to be on hold for so damn long when you phone them - if i hear that "stand by me" song one more time i think i'll go jihad on the RAC building "yella yelllaa!!"
  7. hi my r32 gtst's gearbox sounds like its on the way out. Any recommendations on getting a new one? will a gtr box fit straight in? (plenty more wreckers avail then gtst)
  8. 10-15k bully
  9. I have posted this in the "wanted to buy" section, but i know not everyone checks that section, and its requires a WA response only. Link to the original post is below - if anyone is selling one, or has a mate selling a tidy manual 180sx i wouldnt mind checking it out. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...&threadid=17256 hopefully the post stays here;)
  10. yea my cousin rushed over thinking it was me as i live near that exit....i know nothing. I know another grey r32 lives near me - hope the person wasnt too hurt...apparently it looked bad
  11. thx nugget still on the search for one
  12. hm whats steves number? from memory whitepages.com is old yeah? and do you know how much he charges to dyno?
  13. OK thanks - shop installations range from $90 - $180 so far. can anyone answer this question for me? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...&threadid=18025
  14. thx Bam i spoke to Xspeed...just seeing if anyone had any recommendations. I like Technik, they do tidy jobs but are on the more pricey side. Adam32: i was going to try it with a friend, but if it wasnt to expensive to have done, i could do without the headache of not having a car for a day or more as i figure this out how to do it. would have to dyno after too
  15. Can anyone recommend anywhere for a Profec installation? I have got some prices from a few places in perth. Does Steve @ SST do these?
  16. gday. installing a profec-b at the moment in my r32 gtst and there are 3 different setup options: Internal - swing valve - (for vehicles not equipped with factory boost regulating solenoid valve) External - poppet valve Internal - swing valve - (for vehicles equipped with factory boost regulating solenoid valve) The car has a little bleed valve setup at the moment. Can anyone tell me which of the above sounds like the setup im after?
  17. crap...sorry thought i wrote that in. $3500 im taking pics tomorrow - but for now it looks exactly like this http://www.thisoldguitar.com/gibson/1972lpcustom.htm pls note this is pics of another guitar..mine will be here soon
  18. hey thanks - found that pipe last night and it seemed to make it work this morning. by the time i got to work it was hot, then it responded when i turned it to cold
  19. Gday. As much as i love it, i really dont play elec anymore just acoustic due to not having an amp, and spending too much money on my car to bother buy one. details are: Gibson Les Paul Custom '70-'75 Made in USA Cherry Sunburst all original hardware (gold) except the frets which are jumbo great tone due to its age - would rather see it used can take pics if requested.
  20. Is anyone an auto sparkie here or good with aircon? Since buying my r32 gtst i have had the problem that my aircon doesnt go cold or hot. It doesnt respond when you change the temperature. I did the diagnostics, it appears all of the sensors work well, so im not sure what it is. (i am told its the aircon-thermo??) An after hours cashie job to fix this would be cool if anyone can do it :alien:
  21. i didnt dyno before and after, but i am impressed with the lower end revving. i think Paul may have dyno'd
  22. $1200 very cool if you have a wuppin sound system, phat exhaust or a shady past
  23. well he said to me "if you have any issues give me a buzz". I figured it was worth the chance being only $180 for dark tint. he works for a tint place and does cashies after work Personally i like to deal with 'after work cashie' when i can, the service seems more personal, and they tend to take a lot of care knowing that you will recommend them, and you deal directly with them. does that make sense? anyhow..will send the PM
