Share stories Cruise -Dandenong Mountains to SAU Show N Shine SAU Show n Shine -Birrarung Mar, Melbourne Map 2F J6 (alternate 1B S12, alternate 43 K9) Lunch/Chat/Show off beasts - Relax check out the cars maybe lunch no.2 Possible Cruise -To Geelong or further for some beachside photo’s seeing as we’ll save some time from the cranny cruise and VW show Cruise - Petrol and Home So that is -From Clayton to Mt Dandenong is roughly 33 KM which works out to approx 40 minutes -Spend a couple of hours in mountains -From Mt Dandenong to Batman Ave Melbourne it’s approximately 45 KM so round 47 minutes. This is taking the Eastern freeway. Could do an in town cruise… Just add maybe 15 min max -spend some time at SAU show - maybe cruise to Geelong for a final catch up then go home

Multi tasking mate Could juts cut out the final cruise after the Show…..? -From Clayton to Cranbourne it’s about 25 KM so 30 minutes -From Cranbourne to Mt Dandenong is roughly 38 KM which works out to approx 40 minutes -From Mt Dandenong to Batman Ave Melbourne it’s approximately 45 KM so round 47 minutes. This is taking the Eastern freeway. All up it would be say 2 hours worth of driving and approx 120km worth of actual cruise, obviously more for the guys coming from GOR for example. And couple of hours at each show? In total it would be about the same as going one way to Apollo bay which is 239km form Noble Park. We could miss Dandy Mountains and go straight from Cranbourne show to SAU show…via scenic ghetto route…it would be good to take the cars through the twisties though and get some scenery pics

After a quick search it seems that the VW show n Shine will be at Cranbourne racecourse Map Ref 133 J6. Correct me if I’m wrong Fuzz This may be good for the guy’s down East and South East but not sure if it will suit the others…. Throwing a spanner in the works an Idea could be that we Meet @ Cranbourne for the VW show then head up the mountain (Dandenong Mountain) towards the SAU show and shine and maybe a short cruise from there to Geelong or further…… This would most probably be a massive drive and a completely stupid idea. Though it may be good because then no one misses out on what they wanted??? Please shoot me down if you think it sux

Alright it seems that the 26th is the preferred date. Shame that you will not be able to make it Justin…. So if all are happy the first thread will be updated. Now as Luke said there is not much time left to organise this and we need to decide if we want to keep it round Melbourne or happy to venture out to GOR etc.. So date is set and we just need to get peoples opinions on destination. I personally don’t care as long here we go and am happy to have an early start… There are some nice spots up dandy mountains way also…. Again if you have contacts of the member s that haven’t yet seen the thread let them know so we can get a nice group together…. cheers Ian

Nice one Yudi congratulations mate. They are a blessing. Luke mate no stress. This is a group thing so any suggestions would be great. It seems that the weekend of the 18th and 19th might be a bit short notice for everyone. What about the weekend after that?? As you said luke it would be awesome to have everyone one come along how about people post up dates that would suit them best and take it from there. Hi all Seeing as the VIC stagea clan has not had a meet in such a long time I though it would be good to keep up with the other states. As most of us (Alex )should have our stags on the road by the weekend of 18th Nov I thought this would be a good time to meet up and actually have a cruise with maps etc it would also be good to meet some of the new additions since the last meet. Firstly we need to confirm a weekend and day that EVERYONE will be able to come as it sux when someone misses out. Secondly when we have a consensus of who will attend then a central meet point can be arranged. Previously we have spoken about having a Great Ocean Road drive. Any other ideas would be great. Hi All as above im after a a/f controller. would like an SAFC-II but a DFA or the likes would be fine also.. preferably in VIC eastern burbs although it doesnt really matter. so if you have one or one of each let me know.
