I just went through the same shit, purchased the car through Geoff in early March and it come into OZ in early April then it was sent from Bris to Gold Coast for Compliance and RW. The Compiance plate only turned up last Friday, same old story from DOTARS next week, next week. I finally get to pick it up tomorrow I havn't actually set eye's on it yet because it's been at the Gold Coast and I'm in Central Qld:( All will be fine tomorrow:D

I'm not to sure how I got around it I was expecting it but it never happened. I think it might have been the way they worded the shipping slip........ But can't exactly remember sorry. As for the paying for import duties before receiving the goods I'm pretty sure either the shipping company (Fed-Ex etc. etc.) pays for it and then bills you or customs bills you but still sends your goods through. But don't quote me on that I could be wrong, does anyone else out there know for sure?

I never got hit with import Tax or anything else. The only thing I payed for was the unit and the shipping and that cost me $700 all up. Not to sure if I was just lucky or not....... Hi all just curious to know if you have picked your Skyline your self and got it brought into Oz do you know what your Auction grade was? How did it fair from the description and photos you received. Just curious to know if everyone is around the 4 mark.

They go buy the first year it was registered so you will probably find that it was first registered in 95 but was made in 94.

You should be able to get one for about $20 to $30 bucks could be cheaper. I'm in emerald.

You should be able to get one from supercheap, autobahn et etc. It's got like 3 or 4 big claw fingers that hook around the back of the wheel and a big bolt that goes through the guts of it that you screw down on and it sits on the bolt of the steering wheel and as you screw down on it the claws bring the wheel towards you untill it comes off. Hope that helps and I havn't confused you. They are not hard to get off, they just get stuck some time. But if you are going to pull it off with your hands make sure you leave the nut on the end of the bolt a good couple of terns or else it could come hard and fast and smack you in the head.

Some steering wheels do get stuck and are hard to pull off you can get a Steering wheel remover or you could use a harmonic balancer remover.

Has anyone got a separate Auto Trans Oil Cooler? or are you still using your Radiator? Any recommendations for one brand and price. I live in central QLD so it gets a bit Hot up here and I read that one of the biggest killers of Auto's is the heat so I'm looking at trying to keep it as cool as possible. Thanks.
