  1. Sums it up perfectly. Was surprised at how easy it was to do! This tutorial definitely gave me a good idea before I jacked it all up. Thanks alot.
  2. There were a pair of these things doing laps of surfers one night... both had blow off valves.. both looked like wankers.
  3. Is the strut bar front or rear? if rear consider it sold..
  4. I'd say it may just make that power... but at the end of the day it's still an RB20, so it's not really worth the trouble IN MY OPINION. BTW, I made the exact same power (196rwkw) with an R33 series one turbo and chipped ECU, so your power output is pretty much the norm
  5. Would you take $300 this weekend? PM me
  6. As already mentioned i'd be checking your BOV and also Manifold studs/gasket, aswell as any holes in your exhaust. Friend of mine with a 4 door 32 was dropping boost, very similar problem to yours, and it turned out he had rooted manifold studs and a hole in his exhaust.
  7. Nice result! I pulled 195.4rwkw in my 32 and thought I was doing well... but you don't even have a fuel pump or tuned ecu!! Must be happy about that.
  8. How much to send to postcode 4216 do you know mate?
  9. Possibly consider an input bearing aswell? I had a stuffed input bearing and the symptoms were very similar to yours. A good way to test is to drive the car in 4th gear. If the noise almost gooes away it would seem to be the input bearing. Something to do with the fact that 4th gear is almost a 1:1 g'box ratio. I'm sure someone on here can explain it better than I can!!
  10. I agree.. my car runs best on Vortex 98.. is also a hell of alot cheaper than most premiums so i'm not complaining!
  11. Pretty sure all are finned? The only way to tell if yours is different is to crack her open and look at the centre!! For all we know you could have a 2-way inside a stock r200 casing..
  12. Broken IC would be my guess too.. like Craved said if it's moved across something would have to bend/loosen for it to move.
  13. Shit bad luck dave and you haven't even been able to put my turbo on yet!! Although R33 boxes are stronger, I can't see the need to upgrade to one unless your pulling some decent figures already, and plan to take the car alot further power wise. FRom what i've been told you need the g/box itself obviously, approx $1500, get it fitted, and i'm pretty sure you also need a custom made tailshaft, and alot of other crap to get it working.. it's a costly exercise, but you would never have to worry about breaking the box again!!
  14. The pump was installed by a mechanic, so he did not adjust the mixtures at that time, thats what the tune is for. i'm not to sure about the boost, but it feels really nice when it comes on so i'm not sure? I still have factory injectors but not sure on FPR, could have been changed by the last owner but I don't think so. When I say there is more in it i'm only talking single digits, as the AFR's are running rich but safe, so i'm completely happy with it the way it is. But I thought I would pass on the comment from the tuner.
  15. It's a fairly small front mount and doesn't get alot of airflow (you can barely see it through the front bar) But I get what you mean, the intake temp is a little high..
  16. Hello, Got my R32 4 door tuned at Chiptorque today.. The guys down there seems to know what they're doing, as the power figure is alot higher than what I was expecting. Let me know what you think of the graph. I was told that there might still be more power in it as it is still running a little rich. Mods are: R33 turbo, set at 1.0 bar via the actuator Chiptorque chipped ECU Custom FMIC with custom piping High flow 3" dump with supposed high flow cat Full 3 1/4" exhaust from the turbo back Walbro intank fuel pump Run on 98 octane ethanol from good old IFS!! All I can think of at the moment. Heres the graph: Note the red graph was the first run. I had a stock fuel pump, and on the last tune the injector duty cycle was maxed out, so now with a decent Walbro pump it caused the car to run extremely rich.
  17. Took my car in for a turbo change and fuel pump. Went for a strap with my mechanic driving. We were on public roads, but inside a court on the mechanics street. My mechanic was giving a flogging to the car drifting it etc and I loved it! Basically he had to give it to the car to test out the new items, so in my case I don't mind. I've got a very very trustworthy mechanic, so i'm quite happy for him to do whatever he wants with my car.
  18. Item is Sold Pending Payment.
  19. Thanks for that SD. I think it does actually have the VG30 turbine? (if not it looks like an R34 item) As you can see this turbo can pull some nice figures at a good price.
  20. If it was a stock ECU then you'd have a deal. This ECU has much more functionality, and removes all limits that have been imposed on the stock ECU.I won't be letting it go for $100, but thanks anyway.
  21. This is the same one that GCG will do for $1950. It would be the exact same as taking your R32 turbo to GCG, except alot cheaper. This turbo is laggier than stock. I had a badly un-tuned R32 RB20DET, and I would make full boost (15 psi) at approx 4300rpm, with a stock fuel system. This turbo's efficiency point is somewhere like 6800-7000rpm, and can go higher than 20psi, so thats where you'll be seeing your peak power. I would recommend this turbo to someone wanting more top end power, as the midrange isn't the best around. This particlar turbo woulds perform much better on an RB25. I can only guess at the amount of kays this has done, but i'd say 12,500 wouldn't be far off. Turbo has zero shaft play. Thanks for letting me know mate
  22. Bump. Open to offers.
