  1. I called Elders Car Insurance in South Australia today and was told to call Just Cars.
  2. I bought a late model Pioneer deck for $80.00. Just keep an eye out on the forums. Or do you specifically want a stock unit?
  3. Back when I was really, really new to imports a used car salesman convinced me an NA 300ZX was a twin turbo 300ZX. Good thing I didn't buy it and then realise it was a twin turbo at its first service. But I've learnt a lot since then. The car yard has also moved and changed names. Twice.
  4. Why do you all change your oil so frequently when it says it'll last 400,000 KMs on the container?
  5. Remove the mesh, add a FMIC, move the number-plate. Then you'll get a thumbs up.
  6. Or even a diagram...
  7. I don't suppose any of you have photos of where all the bolts/clips are?
  8. Mine locks both doors. But that could be my alarm I suppose.
  9. You do not need to cut the front bar, but it does improve air flow. I have a professionally cut M-spec. front bar for sale if you're interested.

  11. So there is no risk of being taxed on the PFC? What about other items, like boost controllers, RSMs etc?
  12. As the topic says, I am after a working light socket with globe from an Autometer boost gauge and a single DIN fold down space saver thingo. PM if you're looking to sell.
  13. RB25DET gearbox uses just under 3.75 litres. I don't know if it's the same for R32.
  14. As far as I know it has to cover 85% of the windscreen. The new Mercs have fairly high windscreens, so one large wiper can cover the necessary amount. I know that Cobra kit cars etc are supposed to have three wipers because their windscreens are so low, but they have exemption (in SA at least) because three wipers would look retarded.
  15. Looks like fibreglass to me.
  16. Nice. What's it worth all up? I'm keen to do something similar with my boot. Not show car styles, but just to reclaim some space as I currently have 2 x 12 inch Pioneer subs in a box that takes up 90% of my boot. Where do you even start with something like this? How hard is it to relocate the battery? What's the black Punch screen thing made of? I would want to keep the spare tyre too, which throws a spanner in the works. Good work though, it looks good.
  17. I think I prefer the look of a fibreglass vented bonnet, and they're only ~$600.00.
  18. Silver.
  19. Okay, I'm sold on the boost controller add on. In fact, my NenGun shopping basket is looking pretty healthy - it's just going to have to sit there for a couple of months while I pay for my new bodykit and a new computer.
  20. I have a Trust bleed valve for sale, but you can't control it from inside the cabin. I didn't know you could do that with manual boost controllers at all. PM if interested.
  21. Yes, I have a GTR fuel pump already and an oil catch can, but that's sitting on my floor at the moment. I'm keen on the AVCR based on looks alone and based on the fact that it's about the same price as the PFC boost controller kit. Or is it more expensive? If I'm looking at $5,000.00 for a new turbo and injectors then I might just take 220 rwkw and be happy. I was hoping $1,000.00 for injectors and ~$1,000.00 for a new turbo. Oh well, there goes that dream for the medium run. I suppose 220 rwkw will be pretty fun after driving around on 165-170 rwkw for a year. If I run a Power FC with my stock injectors/turbo, is it simply a matter of disconnecting it and putting the stock ECU back to clear a defect? Or is there more to it? And how much more difficult is it to connect/disconnect an AVCR or boost controller kit compared with a bleed valve? Jay95R33: That dyno figure was without a tune also. I've had my car for nine months and haven't had it tuned at all, so it might even have some more grunt in it at 5-7psi.
  22. I have a mildly modified R33 - exhaust, FMIC, etc. The usual basic modifications. The car came with a Trust bleed valve, which I have removed. On stock boost, the car is pulling 165-170 rwkw. I'm pretty eager to reach 250 rwkw. So far on my shopping list (performance wise) I have (in order): - Apexi AVCR. - Power FC. Hoping to reliably have around 200-220 rwkw at this stage at around 11-12 psi. - Injectors and a new turbo of some description. So, my question is what sort of injectors and what sort of turbo would best suit what I'm after? And how much is all of this going to set me back (inc. labour to install it as I'm a n00b)? My other question regards defects. With summer coming, I know I'm going to be defected. I always do my best to minimise defect pain, ie. connecting my turbo timer to plugs so it can connect/disconnect in ten seconds etc. So, are larger turbos / injectors legal? Because I don't know how keen I'm going to be installing them and removing them each time I get a defect. I know a Power FC is fairly easy to remove generally, but what happens once I upgrade my injectors and turbo? Does removing it turn into a long or expensive process? And lastly, my current bleed valve takes around 10 minutes to connect / disconnect. I don't really know how EBCs work. How much harder will one be to remove for a defect and connect again? I suppose this stuff can't be that hard if so many of you do it so often, but I'm pretty slack and tight on the pennies so I want to know what I'm up for.
  23. On the topic of clocks, the clock in my GTS-25t runs a few minutes fast every couple of weeks. How can I fix it?
  24. I rarely park my car and it still gets scratched. I don't see how people can use Skylines as daily drivers...
  25. I'm not planning to put a v-opt.co.jp sticker on my car, I was just wondering why the D1 cars had them. The single wiper on the other hand...
