I have a mildly modified R33 - exhaust, FMIC, etc. The usual basic modifications.
The car came with a Trust bleed valve, which I have removed. On stock boost, the car is pulling 165-170 rwkw.
I'm pretty eager to reach 250 rwkw.
So far on my shopping list (performance wise) I have (in order):
- Apexi AVCR.
- Power FC.
Hoping to reliably have around 200-220 rwkw at this stage at around 11-12 psi.
- Injectors and a new turbo of some description.
So, my question is what sort of injectors and what sort of turbo would best suit what I'm after? And how much is all of this going to set me back (inc. labour to install it as I'm a n00b)?
My other question regards defects. With summer coming, I know I'm going to be defected. I always do my best to minimise defect pain, ie. connecting my turbo timer to plugs so it can connect/disconnect in ten seconds etc.
So, are larger turbos / injectors legal? Because I don't know how keen I'm going to be installing them and removing them each time I get a defect.
I know a Power FC is fairly easy to remove generally, but what happens once I upgrade my injectors and turbo? Does removing it turn into a long or expensive process?
And lastly, my current bleed valve takes around 10 minutes to connect / disconnect. I don't really know how EBCs work. How much harder will one be to remove for a defect and connect again?
I suppose this stuff can't be that hard if so many of you do it so often, but I'm pretty slack and tight on the pennies so I want to know what I'm up for.
