  1. Thanks! Are there different types of REDLINE gearbox oil? If so, what am I looking for? And I assume autObarn sell standard engine oil as well? I'll head down that way tomorrow.
  2. Where is the best [read: cheapest] place in SA to buy REDLINE gearbox oil? Is it common enough to find anywhere, or will I have to shop around?
  3. Ah, my mistake. That was all off the top of my head.
  4. What's she worth? I don't like it, but it looks expensive.
  5. 0-15 KM over is ~$150.00 and two points. 16-29 KM is ~$250.00 and three points. 30-44 KM is a fairly big fine and four or five points. 45 KM or more is a **** off fine and six points. As far as I know, there is no automatic loss of licence in South Australia for speeding. But it's easy to do when you lose six points for 45 KM over the limit and then get done for dangerous driving too. On the topic of speeding, I've gone through three separate cameras in the past two months at between 20KM-40KM over the limit and haven't heard anything. Have I been ridiculously lucky or can it take this long for fines to arrive?
  6. I was briefly followed again tonight, before losing the tail in side streets. Stressful as ****!
  7. I was followed on Saturday night, just down from the South Road overpass as well. In fact, I was followed to my drive way.
  8. I have the following items for sale. HKS SSQ BOV, $350.00. Aftermarket shift stick, $50.00. Fits R33. Standard R33 orange side indicator (or 'winker' as the Nismo box says) covers, $25.00. All parts located in South Australia. Pick-up available. Postage to any Australian address at your expense.
  9. How much are you offering for the rear wing and what colour are you after?
  10. PATENT PENDING!
  11. Who was selling bodykits on this forum a couple of months back? His username was a bunch of symbols. Is he still around? Does autObarn still post here?
  12. Also, the General Automotive Discussion and the Skyline Related Discussion appear to be one and the same. At least move General Automotive Discussion to the bottom, because the Skyline Related Discussion is obviously going to be more popular.
  13. But that's the problem. Because people will only read the forums that interest them most, the smaller forums (bodykits, tyres, whatever) will be more or less empty. When you have a question, expect to wait a week or more for a reply, as opposed to the two minute wait for the same reply in the General Forum.
  14. Hang on, where are those figures from Skyline Boy? Red Book says 240 KW for the XR6.
  15. That web-site is good. Is there any sort of standard way to convert between factory power figures and actual RWKW? How accurate are factory figures? Aaand lastly, how much does an R33 weigh? 1300kgs?
  16. I've just been looking around the Ford web-site and didn't come up with much. I'm looking for the following figures: XR6 RWKW, XR6T RWKW and XR8 RWKW. I know a few of you drive them. Then again, my old man has one and doesn't know. His guess is around 180 KW at the fly for the XR6. Out of interest, I also wouldn't mind knowing the Holden figures for the S, SS and... whatever else Holden have.
  17. I just prefer forums with fewer sub-sections. If I'm in the minority, I'll live with it...
  18. I don't like the idea of all these new sub-forums. Like, is there really enough bodykit talk for it to warrant its own forum? Originally, you could post a bodykit related question in the General section and have it answered in mere minutes. But now, with so many new forums, more threads will get missed. How many tyre/wheel threads already pop up in the General section because nobody reads the sub-sections? Also, it's going to take half an hour before I post each thread to decide if I'm in the right forum or not. Who's with me?
  19. I know this is the wrong section, but I doubt many of you would read this if I posted it in the tutorial sub-forum. I'm wanting to save some dollars by installing my boost controller (bleed valve) and oil catch can myself in the next couple of weeks, but I have no idea where to even start. If any of you want to put together a tutorial (preferably with pictures because I'm a n00b), then I'm all ears. I'm also stuck on the last part of my boost gauge installation. Refer to my question at the end of this thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=17229 TIA.
  20. I know I've been talking about buying a front bar for a couple of months now, but I have the cash in my hand and I want to pick one up ASAP. I'm after a Trust style front bar for a S1 R33, as seen on the yellow R33 DEDSXE. I have been told to go to either autObarn or Viva Garage, however I wasn't very impressed with autObarn Mile End when I was last there and I spoke to someone from Viva Garage at Autosalon who didn't seem to have any idea what I was talking about and really couldn't help me. I know a few of you sell bodykits, so please PM or e-mail me your prices. If anybody from autObarn or Viva Garage read this and believe you can sell me the above front bar at a competitive price, please reply or contact me directly. And if any of you can recommend other places in SA to go, I'm all ears.
  21. How do you connect the black vaccum line to the line at the back of the gauge? I'm trying to connect an Autometer gauge and the line coming out of the back is smaller than the black vaccum line. Do you just stick the gauge line into the black vaccum line, or what?
  22. I might just put it back on the base of my A-pillar. It really is the best spot for it. I'll get defected for my exhaust before I get defected for my boost gauge anyway... The gauge I have in my dash already is completely blocked by the windscreen wiper stalk. I have no idea why it was positioned where it is.
  23. Got any pics.? I actually have an Apexi gauge in my dash, but you can't see it behind the factory steering wheel.
