What will increasing my boost do? will it damage my turbo if i increase it to much. What level of boost do you think i should be sitting at Its currently sitting at 7psi in 1st and 10psi in second,third and fourth. I have a fmic, standard r34 turbo and blow off valve.

Yeah thats exactly right, First gear hit 6psi, second about 10psi. And increasing the boost doesnt do anythign either. first gear goes up to say 10psi and second, third and forth 15psi. If i run my car at high boost what are the effects? Running a standard turbo on R34 with blow off valve and FMIC

Hey guys, How do you tell how much boost is running? On my external boost guage, im readinging of first gear be about 6psi second 10psi, and i have a auto transmission. Does that sound right?

Hey all, Well finally got my splitfires now after waiting 3 weeks from Nengun. Cost $587 Fitted them in last night and now my baby is running like a dream. I was getting my car missfire all the time, due to one coil being bad. I also noticed that the TCS & engine lights were coming on because of this and since replacing the coils they have now gone. I also resetted the ECU since running the car everynow and then for 3 weeks would be giving the ecu some bad readings. I noticed that it reset the ECU (after disconnecting the neg terminal) that you see the dash, clock, and middle display lights do a check to make sure all is working, you will also notice that the clock resets its time. Steps i took to fix my problem. 1. regap sparks 2. check coil packs 3. replace coils (worked for me)

Theyve just sent my order off today so i hope i get them before the long easter weekend. Cant wiat to go for a drive without it spluttering along. Its definately the coil though, ive tested this out and i know exactly which one it is! bloddy coils. Looked for a second hand one but only one i could get was 80 buks for one from this site so i opted for new and sell the old ones. Cost 580- maybe $50*5 for each working coil = 330 total Not bad i say anyway

My splitfires are on order and meant to be despatched today. Here's hoping i get them before the easter weekend! Cost 587 shipping included. I hope it gets rid of the TCS engine lights that come on aswell.

Ended up ordering some splitfires so hopefully they will be here soon. Will need to reset the ECU once i get them as the car is constantly misfiring. Where is the ECU in the 34? Ive heard disconnecting the battery and holding the break resets it, but ive also that you should disconect the ECU

Yep M2000 has them. drive past that place all the time. I got astra convertable voucher for 2 days, you have to be 25 and insurance waiver is about 25 per day, cost 100 per day to hire the astra

So same propblem hey with upgrading the battery. My mate came around this morning and helped me out. Changed over the spark plugs to 0.8 gap but still same problems. He said it either the injectors or coil packs. So he checked by removing the power supply to each injector and found that coil 3 was not firing. So i need to either replace this one. WHat do you think? Or get a complete set of splitfires?

Well found that my prob was getting worse with it misfiring all the time now. Drove into town on Sat got home and left the car for about 3 hours. Tried to start it up again and the battery was flat............... And i was reading someones post about how his battery was suuffecient enough to run the coil packs and cause misfiring. Well gues what its true. Replaced the battery and she was running smooth again. I still found that it misfired above 4 every now and then, didnt always happen. Occured specially in 2nd. This wekeend going to try the replace and regap the sparks and see if it helps, otherwise ill replace the coil packs.

Well tried the battery option last night removing all stereo components and thats definately not whats causing it. Ill have to try to get to ther dam coil packs this weekend and pull out the sparkies and regap them. Otherwise ill take it to a mechanice to have a look at. I checked the coil packs last night just by peaking under the rocker cover but i couldnt see any sparks. It even started iddling funny when i first started the car COLD!

I bought a boost controller but call me stupid, how do i tell the current boost? Mods Blitz FMIC & Blow off valve, SAFC II,

Im lost on trying to get to the R34 coil packs. I think there under the plastic cap then sits then under another part which sits across the middle of the engine and are screwed in via allen keys Any help would be appreciated.

Ive had the SLIP, ENGINE AND TCS lights come on everytime i start for about a month now, it ocmes on as soon as the engine warms up. And just since yesterday its driving like a piece of crap. If you throttle it, it backfires constantly like some of the pistons aint goin. I tried looking for the coil packs on the R34 but i couldnt get to it. ANy help on this would be great.
