Hey guys, Ok im getting a manual boost controller and ive just got some questions on the installation casue i really do not wanna stuff this up lol. Car is a 1996 R33 s2. I know you have prob been asked these questions a million times but i just want some clarifacation. Ive done a search on here and its been helpful but all the pictures are missing from the posts and its hard to work out exactly what to do. From my understading (and correct me if im wrong please!) i have to place the actual unit on the hose between the wastegate and the turbo. Basically i cut the line and connect the hoses to the 2 nipples that come on the controller. Which way does the arrow have to point? Secondly i need to know what to do with the solenoid that currently controls the boost. I have heard that i take off the 2 hoses that go to the solenoid, but do i block them off? Some pics of ppls engines with a boost controller installed would be really helpful so i can get a visual of what im doing! Thanks in advance, any input in much appreciated! Traum

Hey im after some new brake pads for my front brakes. Basically what i really want them to do is not squeak, becasue the ones i have now are ultimates and they squeak like crazy especially when cold, when i drive off in the morning and touch the brakes for the first time they are really bad. So just wondering what you guys use and if they squeak at all cause i hate the noise. Cheers Traum

Hey all i just installed an oil temp gauge in my r33 and was just wondering what is a "normal" reading? Im getting readings of about 90-100 degrees, which i think is high casue at 100 up to 150 the gauge reading goes to like a red zone which i take it as being to hot? Thanks heaps

Hey was justing wondering if i was to get an EBC or even a manual boost controller will that get rid of the dual stage boost? i know about the post about how you can ground the solenoid to do this all the but was just curious to know if a boost controller will do the same? Cheers Traum

hey im wanting to install a oil temp gauge in my s2 33 but on the instructions it says to connect a wire coming out of the gauge to the "temperature sending unit" and i was wondering where that was exactly? And do i just splice into it and thats it? Thanks

Thanks for all your opinions guys its really helpful. After thinking about i think i might go with RE customs and pay the money, at the end of the day i could get it done with some help but like some ppl have said, and from my previous experience, some jobs are a b!tch and as much as i would like to put it in myself i think with something like this i really dont wanna mess it up casue i dont want to end up doing more damage then good. Oh and i also like the idea of dropping it off in the morning and picking it up possibly that night with a fat cooler sitting on the front of it ready to suck some air. Cheers, Traum

Yeah that sounds like a good idea getting some one else to cut the holes casue thats the only real thing i could see a problem with. The other thing is the front bar but i dont know yet if i have to cut it so the cooler fits in, i havent sussed it out yet but i might do that asap. I thought 250 was expensive but if its pretty standard i might consider it. Oh and as for the self installation, im gonna have to take a crash course in japanese to be able to understand the damn things, god damn japanese instructions!

Hey all, i just got myself a greddy front mount and was gonna give it a crack at putting it in myself but i thought i might check out before i do how much it would cost and where i could get it installed. If its a matter of a couple of hundred bucks i might think of getting it professionally put it then i know its in there properly. So would any of you know where in melbourne i could get this installed and roughly how much? Ive already called up RE customs and they quoted me $250. Thanks, Traum.

hey guys i just noticed that when i get into my car after not driving it for a while (at least half a day), when i jump in and go to turn away i get this bad whinin' sound coming from under the bonnet, sounds like something is rubbing everytime i turn the wheel, any one know whats going on? has it got something to do with my powersteetring pump or something worse?? THanks, Traum.
