  1. Just a little notice: If we are talking about the steeringwheel, and youre about to replace it then take in consideration that your HICAS wont work if you just change the steeringwheel and doesnt have the appropriate fittings for the new one Cheers! -David
  2. Hey! Since my car is in the garage for about 5 months for winter-storage i've done some work on it, latest small stuff i've done is painting the brakes and modding a pillarpod into the a-pillar. I scraped te paint off of the 'NISSAN'-marks to get a more factory upgrade-look of it Heres some pics just to show the result, the pillarpod is beeing painting in the same greyisch color as it has originally has: Cheers! -David
  3. Yep its wired directly from the battery, including a 20 AMP fuse, so theres probably enough juice. Im also using a Bosch relay to handle the pump Now im off to do finish the painting of the brakes, and to get that 2-gauge A-pillar pod nicely modded/moulded into the pillar. Wish me luck 'cause im probably gonna need it, will have to redo it, didnt work out the way i wanted it on the first try, might aswell start from scratch! Cheerio!
  4. Hey! I bought a Walbro fuelpump some time ago, and about a week ago i got my self together and installed it! The pump is an in-line (external) 255 Lph unit. I placed the pump right in front of the fueltank, right under the back seats. I got the negative from a mounting above the exhaust system, and took the positive from the cables going in to the in-tank factory pump, leading the cable on the side of the tank. The factory hoses run behind the rear right wheel, and there is a connection right there, making it very easy to run new hoses to the in-line pump. I simple removed the old pump running to the fuellines, and replaced it with one leading to the new pump, and another hose leading back to the connection, so i simply replaced the old hose with a new, onger one, with a pump in the middle The installation works great, and doesnt leak yet Hopefully it wont after beeing used for a while, but i dont have any experience of the hoses i used so they might dry up and crack after some use. Anyways, heres 2 pics of the fuel pump installed: Cheers!
  5. Finally!! Today i installed my external fuelpump. Kept the factory pump, doesnt affect anything by leaving it in there. Installing the new in-line pump wasnt that big of a deal, placed it as you can see in the photo just in front of the tank. I ran the lines and cables around the side of the tank. I didnt go the hard way, cutting the factory fuellines, i simply pulled the hose by the right rear wheel and ran that to one side of the pump, and ran the hose from the other side back to the lines, this doesnt affect the performance since its building the wanted pressure anyway. I had to get a relay, received a Bosch-relay from a friend, got the signal from the factory pump, and fused it with a 20 amp fuse, to the battery. Blablabla and so on, heres the pic! Take care! -David
  6. Hey and thanks for your comments! About the sparewheel situation The fitting for the sparewheel is still under the floor, the floor (or the lowered ps2 box-part if u will) actually just touches it, so if i want i can use it to fit the new floor to the car, altough i wont, cause then the screw will show when fitted Dont wanna ruin the vinyl with that! Oh right! I needed to saw the floor in 2 pieces, fitted the PS2 box to one part and just places the other part on top of it. Didnt really get what picture you wanted (did u want one with the floor in place in the boot?), so i removed the floor from the car, and took a birds-eye view of it. The side closest to the bottom of the pic is the battery side. BTW Once again my friend is in the shot, altough this time i knew about it And some more, none-audio/video, progress! I've started fitting the external fuelpump! I placed it below the rear seats, will be disconnecting (and replacing with a longer) the hose from the factory pump (near the rear right wheel) connecting that to the pump, and sawing off the fuelpipe nearby and connecting the hose leading from the new pump to that. As far as i've read i wont be needing to remove the factory pump, cause it wont be limiting the fuel going to the new pump. Now for some new pics!
  7. As far as i know, by talking to some guys mounting a veilside replica, according to them, altough it probably was a greddy replica, they used all the channels/connections, and also needed to use some t-connections to get all the factory hoses/lines in place, along with hoses/lines for aftermarket boostgauge and boostcontroller. Some channels can probably skipped but not that many, otherwise it wouldnt make sense why theres that certain amount on the factory intake manifold. Other then that i can only guess that if some where skipped then it would lead to people needing to use alot of t-connections, and through that itll probably be a bit slower when for example the blow-off valve goes off. But these are only my immediate thoughts, not saying any of them are hard facts, but logically it feels like it makes sense. Hope that helps in some way! Cheers! -David
  8. Thanks guys! Well the boot lining wasnt that hard, just used the factory carpet as template and it worked out fine! I didnt even realize that he was licking the cables until i uploaded the pics to my computer!! Will ask him though so that we get an answer He is supposed to be en electrician so i cant really imagine why he did that! Maybe some kind of fetish.. Just called a guy earlier today about wrapping it all in some nice leatherish material, probably will go with vinyl, wont be a problem, and not all that expensive either. It'll probably look good to, cause he builds the interior on the stores demo-cars, so i have somewhat high hopes I think ill go with black for the floor, and white for the ps2-box, dont really know what i'll do with the wall yet, dont want it to be all booring though! Maybe someone has some good tips of what i can to with it?? Cheers!
  9. Recently parked my R33 Gtst in the garage for winter storage and ofcourse i cant leave it alone! The first thing on the list was to fit the in-line Walbro fuel pump i bought some time ago, but somehow i havent started that yet.. still got about 5 months before its time to hit the road again so.. Anyway, one day at work i was just fed up with having a 2-DIN hole with only a 1-DIN stereo, and i just really knew how good a DVD-screen would look! So instead of eating lunch that day i went to the local car audio/video store and bought myself a 'In-car theatre'-kit from SONY, with a DVD-player (reading CDs, DVDs with mp3, jpeg etc etc), screen, and wireless headphones (still in their box..) . Now i'm done with the cables, well more or less done anyway The DVD-screen is in place, just need to grind 3 mm off of the hole in the dashboard. Then all of a sudden i remembered having a PS2 Slim laying around somewhere, so i found it in a closet in my apartment and headed for the garage. My idea is to have the PS2 in the trunk, in a lowered box in the spare-tire space, covered with a plexi glass-screen. I had to make my own floor in the trunk, using some wood i found, and also make a wall above, covering the battery (my factory batterywall was gone when the car arrived) . I'm going to fit the DVD-unit in the wall, so that just 2 cm are sticking out so that i can change discs, and have one 12" subs on each side of the trunk along with a tweeter, and also later on, fitting 2 DVD-screens on the inside of the trunk-cover. Will get 2 wireless PS2-controllers so that i can give my friends a beating in GT4 The car came with a Alpine stereo-system so im kinda lucky that i wont be needing to upgrade that! Im still going to keep the stereo-unit i have, that to a SONY, connecting the DVD-audio through the stereo, and im going to mak a replica of the gloves-compartment, fitting the stereo-unit there, so that i still can adjust the sound the way i want, and listen to CD if i want. Well enough of that, here comes some very early work-in-progress pictures (pictures taken with my phone-camera so the quality is not that good): Dont ask me why my friend is licking the cables.. Anoyone said cables? All the DVD-cables arent even in the pic! They are by the way nicely tucked away now Trying to achive that 'floating'-feeling when mounting the PS2. Cheers! -David

Heres a pic o f my old rims.
  11. Could be the 'Panic'-button.
  12. Thanks! Went and bought it earlier today, after checking size and all, to see that it'll fit ok, i might have a slight gap on the sides, but nothing that cant be tidy'd up To bad my R33 is in a garage 20 min away, so that i cant test it at once, and start thinking! Anyway, its a Sony In-Car Theatre KAV-H65MV consisting of a MV101 DVD-player, a XVMH65 6,5-tums TFT active matrix-widescreen, a pair of wireless headphones and a couple of remote controls. Im thinking putting the player in the trunk since its a pure player, and the screen got an IR-port, altough it would be nice having it in the gloves-compartment. Or maybe i should have it in the trunk, and have my Sony CDX M630-player in the gloves-compartment, and connecting the DVD-sound to the AUX-IN on that, and play the sound via the stereo.. got an Alpine speaker system, had to change the Alpine-unit though since it was somewhat old and didnt play burned cd's and had the wrong radio frequence..
  13. Gaah! Winter has come over here and i wont be driving mine for the next 5 months!! Atleast i have alot of time in the garage! Got some plans and now ive got the time, now theres only one thing missing... money
  14. Hi! I can get my hands on a SONY DVD-player with a remote 6.5" widescreen and a remote control. The screen comes without buttons wich makes it perfect for neat installations. Now my question is if someone ever tried, and have photos of, replacing the factory stereo with a DVD-screen?? Should be about the same size.. I've already replaced mine with a SONY cd-player, but now im intrested in making it a bit more intresting. Cheers! -David
  15. Hey! I've got an intresting issue with my 94 R33 GTST, when i push the car, full throttle, and comes up above 5000-5500 RPM's the car feels like its retarding the ignition or something, cause when i let the gas of a small bit the car actually accelerates better.. like its getting to much fuel. Just the way a N/A car acts when changing to an open air-filter and it can breeth to good.. This is when im running the standard boost. Acts the same way when raising the boost, but as a pre-caution i've let the boost be standard for now. Maybe a longshot but.. could it be that its running to lean (so that the sensor in the cat feels that its getting to hot), and the ECU is retarding the ignition as a safety-thing? I ran the car with a broadband-lambda, checking the values under pressure, and i got some bad values, under pressure the mix went down to lean mid 11's.. shouldnt it be about mid 13's? Might this be it, or is there something else going on?? Cheers! -David
  16. Hi! Have you checked your plugs/ignitioncables etc. etc.?? Also have you checked your lambda, might be a problem there.. altough it shouldnt be idleing weird.. Im assuming the car is a R33 GTST??
  17. I will definetly be following this to see the progress, looks very promising! I hope i can just take the moment to ask you all one thing.. the round black, dirty arm thats in the lower half of this pic (not the lowest), what is the profit of changing it, cause mine came with a nismo one.
  18. As far as i know, from fitting one on a friends car, the original parts you need is 1,2,3,4 also the airfilter nr:13 is a good one to have, other then that its just to go to a shop to buy nipples, hoses and clamps in appropriate sizes. Some products have a t-joint with a restrictor inside, but as far as i recall the AVCR doesnt. On the solenoid there is 3 holes, but youll only need 2 nipples and a screw or similar to block the last hole off. When mounting the solenoid its always good to use some sort of rubberplate or similar between the mountingplate and the car. Hope that helps some! -Cheers!
  19. BTW since im a bit off today, been rather sick for a couple of days, ofcourse i forgot to mention what car its ment to fit.. Im fitting it to my -94 R33 GTS25T. Cheers!
  20. Hey! First off i have searched the forum, and other forums, for any info about fitting an external fuelpump, but i havent found any good info, everything is about in-tank pumps, so now im wondering if i have simply missed it or if there isnt any.. The easiest thing to do would be to get me an in-tank pump, but since ive already bought this from a guy some time ago i might aswell try fitting it, gotta have something to do over the winter Might aswell do a tutorial when im at it. The pump is a Walbro 255 lph inline external pump, bought without papers, from a sorta well known tuning guy around here (Sweden). Heres a pic of the same stuff i got (borrowed picture): So do you guys have any tips about fitting this?? Cheers! -David

    A dragcamaro lost control.
  23. Thats the handbrake engaged light. Might be used by low brake fluid, or other brake problem to, other then that, the switch for the handbrake might be a tad broken. Cheers mate! -David
  24. Its finally working again! The problem was probably due to a cable the japanese owner had put on the +pole in the engine bay, it gave some space for dirt and other fun stuff to get in and grow. Thanks for your help! Cheers! -David
