Bolt Distance, For Pattern 5x114,3
brother_david replied to brother_david's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Hi, thanks for your answers! Until i get my hands on some GTR-offset wheels im gonna use rather thick spacers, 30-35 mm thick. I can machine these myself and i prefer to do that, and to drill only 5 holes (gonna use longer race bolts instead of the factory ones). I need the radius to the center of the circle, and unfortunatly that isnt half of 114.3 since its 5-stud But i'll go out to the garage and measure it to get the right figures -
Hey! Hope someone can please help me with this! Im gonna make some spacers for when i fit the wider fenders on my GTST and now i need to have the distance , not the pattern (5x114,3) between 2 bolt, or the radius from the center of the hole to the center of the wheel. Hope i could make myself clear I've got my car in a garage a fair bit from where im currently at, and im actually to lazy to travel back and forth Cheers!

Help! R33 Won't Start!
brother_david replied to mind_riot's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Probably not this but i had a similar problem, came up out of more or less nowhere. Turned out to be my CAS giving me a hazzle, changed that and the problem i slong gone Other then that, as stated, check spark (I'd start with that) and then fuel, maybe a fuelfilter change or the pump gone bad? Cheers! -
Haha thanks alot, im suprised myself over the result, only took about an hour to carve it, although i had to buy the biggest one i found, i mean i can t buy a small one 'cause when it comes to skylines its "Spare no spences" right I can tell you that it brings a smile coming home and looking up at my balcony and see that every day

Had a somewhat similar problem, got worse and worse, until it wouldnt start at all. Struggled bad to start when cold, but when it was warmed up it would start. Turned out to be the CAS. Considering the ECU changes the timing depending on whether it was hot or cold it would easier/harder to start. Ended up with the car not wanting to start anytime at all, not even jump-started. Changed the CAS and now all works fine

R33 Gtr Beaten By Pensioner Driven Camry
brother_david replied to DriftKings.com's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Sounds like a problem i had when testdriving a (tuned) R33 GTR, just when boost build up it starts to stutter and really dont wanna rev any more, and you dont wanna either! Turned out to be broken lambda(s). Hope it gets sorted! -
Will 265's Tyres Fit An R33 Rear?
brother_david replied to WET-25T's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Running 265/30/19 rear and 235/35/19 front without any scrubbing, although next time it gets new tyres itll be 235/30/19 in front, 'cause of the fact the the plastic innerfenders did scrub a tiny, little bit. Doesnt actually matter anymore since they flew off during a highspeed test, intresting experience btw.. Running on Nismo Type-S coilovers adjustable in strength but not height, you can see how low it sits in the pic from the gallery ;-): http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/ga...image66872.html Cheers! -
Need Help With Rb25det Twinturbo Build
brother_david replied to brother_david's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Thanks for all your tips! Really useful ones, especially about the oil and waterlines so thank you both stricnynel0s and jeffworld2 Still waiting for the wheather to warm up alittle so that i can drive it safely to the garage, got it parked at my mothers place for now, not that safe parking it on the street outside my apartment As soon as i got it in the garage i can start ripping it apart, and try to get a descent idea for the manifold design, have got some good ideas from your build stricnynel0s. Just talked to a friend who also build twins, but thats in a MKIV Supra aiming at a bit higher figures then me right now, anywas he promised to help me out alot so thats great! Got a carmeet coming up in a month, can not decide whether to start building it before or after that though, wanna be able to show it, even if that means keeping the hood closed Heres a pic i took 2 days ago, when i drove it to my mothers place, doesnt quite feel like the right enviroment, does it? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/up..._829_128353.jpg -

Hey! I came over a cheap twin HKS 2530 set for a GTR a while ago and now im going to put them into my R33 GTST. I was planning on going with twins (turbos that is ) earlier and when these came up i couldnt let them pass me by! Now i would really appreciate if someone has got some useful information about the procedure, things like going top-mount or not, best way dealing with water/oillines etc. I've looked around alot for twinturbo build pics and found some that are really useful but i feel that its better to know things before i start building then finding it out myself on the way! List of my mods now: HKS intake system with the lousy fungys type-filter 5Zigen Catback Greddy BC HKS Turbotimer FMIC Intank Walbro 255 lph Inline Walbro 255 lph (disengaged for now) Cusco Brake cylinder stopper RPS Max Series Clutch On their way, as in somewhere in a postoffice : Stand alone engine mangement Q45 AFM Injectors (not ordered yet) I will also rebuild the bottom end in a while but not just yet, but in the meantime i wanted to get the hardware sorted. Didnt mention other mods done to the chassie since they dont matter right now. When it comes to welding the ex. manifold it wont be a problem since i've done that type of work earlier, its more the basic design im looking for ideas of. To list up things i would like to get some tips or pics of 1. Topmount or not 2. Waterlines 2. Oillines Any other useful information/tips is really appreciated! Thanks and cheers! -David

How Does The Stock Pistons Fail?
brother_david replied to brother_david's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Can be really annoying if its too humid, had one of those big thunderstorms a while ago, could cut watercubes out of the air for days! Just started to polish the 2530's yesterday, spent 2 hours on one of the compressors and it came up better then i thought, but im not done for days yet, its still very grainy so ill hit it with a wet&dry P150 and start over again But practice makes perfect! Then its off to TIG-weld a new manifold and new downpipes and fit em! Heres a quickie
