  1. It's not a placebo effect, if the unit is amplifying the signal sent from the pedal to the throttle body then it stands to reason the throttle body is opening faster than it does without the unit, so there should at least be a noticeable change in the feeling of the car. Having said that it sounds like there might be a number of detrimental effects as a trade-off. Firstly, you're giving up a degree of throttle sensitivity, which would be detrimental to lap-times in a track / autocross environment. It also sounds like your fuel consumption would go up, because any small movement of the pedal is opening the throttle body much wider than it otherwise would. Finally, if you were to try and look at results empirically I doubt it would be of any benefit to lap times, 0-100 times or 0-400 times.
  2. Laughed at? Nooooo...variety is the spice of life! No worries, will be good to get the VQ-franternity a little closer together.
  3. Hi Everyone, a few of us have organized a 350Z meet on Wednesday evening, thought I'd extend the invitation to V35/V36 brethren...plenty of seating around so no need to RSVP...hope to see a few of V's there... What: Melbourne Meet When: Wednesday, 11 November 2009 Time: 8pm Where: Garage Cafe, Carlton Why: Dinner and meet in one - Parking inside venue for cars - Central location - Quiet(ish) on a weeknight - Japanese beers - Pool table - can't be washed out
  4. Hi GTRBRO, they're a staggered fitment so probably not ideal for a GTR, though the offsets would allow them to fit. 350Z offset and GT-R offset are similar. Hi Birds, I have a feeling they'll fit R34 GTT and R33 GTS-T, I think I've seen the same wheels on a 34 GTT before, if you're in Melbourne you're welcome to have a test-fit anytime?
  5. Hi All, selling my 19-inch RPM Hiro wheels, specs are 19 x 8.5 front and 19 x 10.5 rear. I don't know the offsets, if I had to guess I'd say the fronts were around +30 and the rears were +35, but don't quote me on that. Fronts will clear big brakes. They are currently fitted to my 350Z, so are definately compatible with V35 Skylines. Shipping at buyer's expense. Condition : VG except for some gutter-rash on 1 wheel, also small dent on 1 wheel, looks like shipping or manufacturing defect. Colour : gunmetal spokes with polished lip Location : Wheels will most likely be stored in Clayton, Victoria Price : $900 for wheels and nuts ONLY, tyres not included Reason for sale: 4 big boxes with "Volk Racing" in my garage :-) PM or sms 040 11 99 804 if you're interested...
