Can you depress the clutch? If not then thats what gone, either one of the main bearings in there or the pressure plate itself. Same sort of thing happened to me, one of the springs had fallen between the plates and caused some damage all the way back to the bearing. Do not try and drive it if this is what happened...

Did you even watch the video? The car does do a 9 second quater... And yes, funny cars are faster, but they have an incredibly long wheel base coupled with a shape that gives them maximum downforce where its needed while maintaining aerodynamics. Oh yer, you ever tried to get a funny car around a corner under power? I didnt think so, because THATS NOT WHAT THERE DESIGNED FOR. Im going to assume you were joking about the "giving these cars super powers" comment, because if you couldnt understand his clearly written comment, he is saying that if they did not take advantage of downforce over the wheels the car has no way to maintain the strong contact with the ground required at these speeds/RPM and would either wheelspin all the way through the run, or flip backwards as there is nothing holding it down. I used a flexible piece of small diameter hose attatched to a cannister of silicone based lucbricant and just fed the hose (around 45cm) to the clutch fork and gave it a nice little spray, seemed to work fine.
