I have the same problem on my car.
I have noticed alot of the time it happens when steering is on hard lock. which makes me think power steering pump strains the engine.
But it also occurs when in a straight line slowing down to lights etc so who goddamn knows!
Ive also tried cleaning the AAC valve and AFM to no avail!
If anyone has solved this please post it up!
Thanks

What did you do about water and oil lines? also did it require a spacer plate?
How have you found the internal gate? No boost creep at the higher end?
Sorry for all the question!
Cheers mate
And also a quick question on monitors.
Has anyone found a good place, bar ebay, to source 7" touchscreen lcds, be it lilliputs, xenarcs or others!
Thanks

You have a vacuum leak somewhere.
I dont know what would cause it to be so intermittent but id say thats your problem.
Check around your intercooler piping and also check around wherever you are feeding your boost gauge from (if you have one)
Hope that helps buddy
haha, i to am loving these references to said awesome engine.
wonder how long before we see it for sale sans car due to unforeseen foliage or light pole
Hicas had nothing to do with it as it is only active over 80 km/h.
Most likely it was a combination of oil on the road (first rain in awhile), cheap tyres and your car coming onto boost.
In the wet take corners easy in a gtst, even on a straight road under light acceleration when there is water about u can get a wiggle out of the back end!
So take it easy out there dude and get urself some good tyres!
