  1. Most guys coming through my shop want DBA4000 rotors and our RB74 pads or Ferodo Formula pads.Braided lines and fluid are the next choice if doing track days.If anyone wants prices pm me.
  2. Sorry i am in the Brake business and i do not know anyone who has used them although the Excel are alright on the road and the Formula even better for the spirited driver who also has a track day.
  3. Some pads squeal but it is usually the harmonics , evo's do it all the time when genuine pads are not used. The part no should not be a problem because they are a different shape for each part no so the wrong part no would not have fit in. If you have BENDIX pads in they offer a replacement warranty it is written on the box.
  4. Give Race Brakes Sydney a ring on 02-9609 1101 or email them [email protected] they have made some brackets for brembo calipers to fit other cars lately.
  5. The handbrake set up in the rear is different and the brembo rear calipers should be a 4 piston caliperIf it is on anFPV or GTP as far as i know there wasn't/isn't a single piston rear brembo kit on them. Can you tell us all what is a good price or pm me with it as i may beinterested for a mates ba.
  6. One pad has a wear indicator on it and the other hasn't by changing them around you have stopped it from rubbing.AT least you found the problem quickly. Inside of disc face there is nothing for it to foul on but outside face of disc it rubs on the rotor hub as you can see in your picture. The pads are only held in by 2 pins so they can be put in either way.
  7. Can help with what you want just PM me .Why would you upgrade and put 4000 series on if you are selling though?
  8. Have reconditioned the skyline1 1/16 brake master cylinders before for about $250 (give or take) master only already off the car.
  9. I have just spoken Race Brakes Sydney .Ring or Email them at [email protected] or 029609-1101 they have brake and clutch parts road or race. They said anyone on the Skyline forum can get 10% off if they mention where they are from.
  10. Colour doesn't matter and just use a name brand fluid eg Castrol,Mobil etc most std brake fluid has a boiling point of 270deg then it goes up to 310deg for racing .The main thing with brake fluid is to flush atleast once every year or earlier as the fluid gets contaminated from condensation etc .If you lift your cap off the brake master cylinder and put your finger in there check out the gunk build up, it happens. The quickest way to change fluid is to bleed the old fluid out until the new fluid comes through. If you are picky the best thing to do is remove the reservoir and clean it out first.BUT it is always recommended to go to a brake specialist it costs about $70 to get a fluid flush.
  11. ANY fluid is good for the road if you do a regular flush it prevents the fluid breaking down from contamination. MOTUL RBF600 is a good fluid and has a higher boiling point CASTROL GP600 the same and both good for hill climb or any motorsport where your brakes get hot. Either fluid should cost around $25 a 500ml bottle you may need 2 as you will need to fluid flush. When you flush the fluid run a clear piece of hose over the bleeder nipple and into an old coke bottle.NO MESS and you can see if there is any AIR TRAPPED as well.
  12. Are you looking at road performance and are you going to use them for track days. FERODO at $185each front and rear or HAWK,EBC or give RACE BRAKES SYDNEY 02 96091101 a call they will help you decide or [email protected]
  13. MATE : Now would be a good time to machine them or replace if undersize. 5mm is alot of lip as it is probably the same on the inside of the disc as well. The disc rotors have a minimum thickness R32 GT-R minimum say is 30mm once on or below that thickness rotors should be replaced. If your car has a 5mm lip then i would say your rotors are gone.If you try to fit new pads they will not sit flush on the disc rotor AND IF TO THIN THEY CAN CRACK.
  14. The brembo calipers take both the same pad r33/r32 the std 4pot skyline caliper is a similar size . If you put the brembo calipers on a car it will depend on the bore size of the master cylinder some skylines have a 1" and some 1 1/16" these may be alright for the conversion. The brake bias should be alright. What pad are you measuring it is actually the piston sizes in the caliper that will make the difference.
  15. Remember bigger brakes may also mean you have to go bigger wheels which mean more $$$$$ .Depends on your budget but Race Brakes Sydney may help ring them on02)9609-1101.
